Chapter 23 The Vicious Master Becomes a Heartthrob After His Mind is Read 23

Xi Xingxue waved her sleeve, "The competition is about to begin. You all go over there and line up. Master will go to the stage and watch."

"Remember, never disgrace your master, or else... you will be expelled from the sect."

The system tapped its ear: "Host, you've been chasing sects for a century now, and these sects are truly difficult to conquer."

"Shut up."

As soon as Xi Xingxue left, the three fellow disciples, each with a different appearance, exchanged glances, revealing the true emotions in their eyes.

Xie Jiuchuan remained expressionless, Yin Yue was disdainful, and He Yan was sarcastic.

Yin Yue scoffed at Xie Jiuchuan's show-off behavior in front of his master, giving him a dismissive glance.

"Our eldest brother is a demon spirit, and is inherently weaker than human cultivators. How can he fight them? We should protect ourselves first."

That's not true. Cultivation techniques are generally designed to suit human cultivation, and Xie Jiuchuan's physique isn't that well-suited for them.

But if others spend twice as much time learning, he will spend ten times as much. In this way, Xie Jiuchuan is no less skilled than anyone else.

Xie Jiuchuan pursed his lips slightly, "Junior Brother is still young and too impetuous. He dares to say anything. Neither Master nor I like you like this."

His appearance was exactly like that of a senior disciple lecturing a junior disciple in a sect.

This infuriated Yin Yue so much that he gritted his teeth, plotting how he could secretly plot against him in the future.

He Yan stepped between the two: "You two should stop arguing. Master likes harmony. You two are not as good at pleasing Master as I am. This will only make him more unhappy."

Yin Yue raised his chin, his beautiful eyes filled with a cold smile: "What kind of good thing does Second Senior Brother think he is?"

Xie Jiuchuan glanced down at the two of them, then casually looked away, no longer wanting to get involved in this dogfight.

From now on, his gaze will only be fixed on his master, and everything else will be irrelevant to him.

The cultivation world competition began soon, and Xi Xingxue sat on the platform to watch her disciples compete.

There are six sects participating in the cultivation world competition, known as the Six Great Sects. The order of the competition is determined by drawing lots.

It wasn't exactly bad luck, but it wasn't exactly lucky either; in the first round of the competition, they drew Yin Yue.

Although he was the first person to appear in the match, it wasn't anything special. However, what was different was that the man came at Yin Yue with two large hammers, demanding an explanation.

"Yin Yue, you little brat, you signed a life-or-death contract when you entered this arena. If you admit defeat soon and apologize to my cousin, I'll spare your life!"

The competitions in the cultivation world are fierce and cruel; anyone who concedes defeat or is killed is considered to have lost.

Yin Yue tilted his head, his ponytail flying freely behind him. "Is your cousin the one who was born with the face of a matchmaker, who was so scared by me that he wet his pants, and who was eventually punched by my master and had a 20-meter hole punched in him?"

With each word Yin Yue uttered, the man wielding the hammer's face turned a shade paler.

Finally, his face turned a mess of colors, a mix of blue and purple, and he was furious. Hearing the laughter coming from the audience around him, his anger reached its peak.

He roared and threw his two hammers into the air, where they spun violently, creating a hail of afterimages that rained down on Yin Yue.

The man with the hammer looked smugly at Yin Yue, who was trapped inside, as if he could see his mangled body in the next second.

However, Yin Yue's slender figure was incredibly agile. She easily leaped through the dense raindrops and finally squeezed out of the gaps, standing unharmed in front of the man carrying the hammer.

The man with the hammer exclaimed in astonishment, "How is this possible?!"

Yin Yue smiled innocently: "I'll let you have this time, but unfortunately it'll be my turn next time."

As he finished speaking, the dagger in the boy's hand reflected a cold light.

The hammer-wielding man realized something was wrong and tried to dodge, but unfortunately, Yin Yue, who was incredibly fast, managed to catch him off guard and severed all his meridians.

"I surrender! I surrender! Stop fighting!"

The man wielding the hammer had bloodshot eyes and cried out in agony before Yin Yue finally stopped. But by then, all his meridians were severed, and his cultivation was completely destroyed…

He wailed in agony, "Ahhh! My cultivation! Yin Yue, how could you be so vicious?!"

Yin Yue stepped on his face, his eyes filled with a chilling smile:

"Brother, you just tried to kill me, while you only had your cultivation destroyed."

The referee announced that Yin Yue had won, and the attendants below the stage quickly came up and moved the man carrying the hammer away.

Yin Yue walked down the stage, strolling leisurely, but his gaze remained fixed on the white figure on the high platform.

He looked forward to seeing his master's approving gaze, at which point he would bury his head in his master's arms and act coquettishly.

Of course... it would be even better if I could kiss my master.

Once the evil thoughts in one's heart take root, they grow wildly like weeds, making the boy's heart itch with a numb itch.

Just as Yin Yue was walking up the steps, he heard a few whispers.

"He's so handsome, yet he's so ruthless. What a waste of such a good face. How can someone like that be worthy of being a cultivator?"

"Exactly, if I had a disciple like that, I definitely wouldn't want him."

"Shh, keep your voice down, he's glaring at me..."

Yin Yue's heart felt frozen. He stared at the man without saying a word. These comments were all too familiar, so familiar that it made him feel as if he had returned to his childhood.

Criticism, criticism, insults, and beatings—each was like a branding mark on his soul, causing him excruciating pain when he recalled them at night.

Yin Yue felt a chill between his fingers, unable to see his own heart, where a dark demonic pattern, like a lotus flower, had taken root.

System: "Warning! Warning! Yin Yue's corruption level has soared to ninety! Host, he has murderous intent, stop him immediately!"

Without waiting for the system's notification, Xi Xingxue had already flown over. The people hadn't suppressed their discussions, and as a late-stage Nascent Soul cultivator, he heard them all.
