Chapter 385: Purehearted Sword Master vs. Extremely Charming Beauty 29

After Jun Ze entered the tent, he first used a full body cleansing technique on himself, then closed the tent and slowly lay down towards Chen Yao.

Chen Yao had already cleaned her whole body, so she was now lying comfortably in the bed with her back to Jun Ze.

Jun Ze pursed his lips, hugged her from behind, and whispered: "Yaoyao, I'm here to protect you."

Chen Yao couldn't help laughing and turned to look at him, but the tent was dark and she couldn't see anything. She could only touch his face by feeling and said, "Master, with you here, I can sleep peacefully."

Junze: "Go to sleep, I'll hold you."

Chen Yao: "Okay, then I will really go to sleep. Master, you should go to bed early too. We still have to get up and be on duty at dawn."

Junze nodded: "Go to sleep."

Chen Yao leaned in his arms and quickly closed her eyes. She was indeed sleepy.

However, when Jun Ze placed a light kiss on her face, she opened her eyes again and asked, "What's wrong, Master?"

Junze pursed his lips and said, "Nothing, go to sleep."

Chen Yao rubbed her eyes and said, "Okay... Master, you go to sleep too."

After Chen Yao's breathing became even, Jun Ze carefully got up, covered her with a blanket, and went out of the tent.

He glanced at the dark night sky, then drew a protective barrier for the tent before leaving with peace of mind.

Junze believes that this village is far from as simple as it appears.

The person who had the same idea as him and wanted to secretly investigate was Qu Jing.

They happened to meet each other outside the village chief's house, and then looked at each other tacitly.

Junze pointed to the dark place in front and motioned him to talk there.

Qu Jing followed.

Junze asked him, "Why are you here?"

Qu Jing: "I was just about to ask you, why are you here? Logically, shouldn't you be indulging in some gentle pleasure right now? How come you have the leisure to come here?"

Junze: ...

He glanced at him calmly and changed the subject: "So, you, like me, think that there might be something wrong with the village chief's family?"

Qu Jing nodded, "Yes, that's why I came here to take a look in the dead of night."

Junze hummed and said, "Okay, that's perfect, let's go together."

Qu Jing: "Okay."

As they spoke, after observing the surrounding environment, they gently jumped into the yard of the village chief's house.

At first glance, the layout of this courtyard seems to be fine, similar to that of an ordinary family, except...

In the yard, the big tree that occupies about half of the yard looks a little strange.

Junze and Qujing discovered it almost at the same time, and then walked over together with light steps.

Just as they were about to approach the big tree, Junze suddenly grabbed Qu Jing and said, "Be careful, there might be some hidden formation there."

Qu Jing quickly retracted his foot, and a few drops of cold sweat ran down his back. He had never thought about this. Fortunately, Jun Ze was more sensitive and pulled him back in time.

Junze stood about three feet away from the tree, moved his fingers lightly to cast a spell, and began to check whether there was any formation in the area in front of him.

Sure enough, not long after, the layout of the formation in the circle closest to the big tree was clearly revealed with light.

But not long after, it quickly disappeared, without a trace of it remaining, as if its previous appearance was just an illusion.

Fortunately, Junze had quickly memorized the formation it displayed and imprinted it all in his mind. He could just draw it when he returned.

Qu Jing was watching from the side and was about to talk to Jun Ze about whether they should use magic to attack the tree to test whether the formation could block their attack.

But suddenly, a few old coughs were heard in the room, and then they heard the sound of the person inside getting out of bed and about to come out.

The two of them glanced at each other quickly, then silently jumped out of the yard, leaned against the corner of the wall, and listened attentively to every movement coming from inside.

The person in the room seemed to have gotten up at night, or suddenly woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't fall asleep, so he opened the door and walked out.

The sound of coughing seemed to be getting closer and closer to them. Junze and Qujing held their breath involuntarily and reduced their presence to the minimum.

After a while, the coughing sound stopped, followed by the sound of staggering footsteps of people walking with crutches, passing by them and then walking under the big tree in the yard.

A glimmer of light suddenly flashed in the eyes of Junze and Qujing. They wanted to see what he was going to do when he walked under the big tree.

The village chief, leaning on a cane and wearing a coat, quietly sat down on a wooden chair under a large tree. After a while, he sighed helplessly and spoke as if to himself:

"I dreamed of my darling grandson again. He kept mumbling that it was so dark and cold down there. He asked me when I could rescue him. He also said that he missed his grandfather so much."

"Big tree, oh big tree, I really hope you can help me realize my wish as soon as possible so that I can fulfill this wish and die in peace."

At first glance, his words sounded like soliloquy and nonsense, but Junze and Qujing quickly discovered something was wrong.

Fulfill a wish?

What wish?
