As usual, Han Mo walked to the front of the cafeteria and happened to meet a figure that was so familiar that it couldn't be more familiar.
The other party seemed to have been waiting here for a long time. As soon as he saw him, he couldn't wait to come forward, climbed onto his shoulders with a bit of rogue attitude and chuckled, "Han Mo, you really made me wait so long."
Han Mo raised his eyebrows, habitually slapped away the hand that was casually placed on his shoulder, and asked calmly: "Why are you here? Is the special training team so idle recently?"
The tall and handsome man laughed out loud, his eyes swept over his injured abdomen, and then jokingly said, "Yes, you haven't been here recently, so we have nothing to do with no one to take care of us, right?"
Han Mo: ...
"If you have something to say, just say it." He was too lazy to listen to his nonsense.
The man finally stopped joking and said, "I came here because I really want your help with something."
Han Mo knew from his expression that it wasn't a big deal, so he just nodded nonchalantly, then took him into the cafeteria and talked while eating.
At the dinner table.
As if he had found an outlet to complain and vent his anger, Chen Zheng said with a gesture of letting it all out:
"Well, this matter has to start with my parents."
"I really don't know what my parents were thinking. They secretly arranged for my sister to work in the compound without even telling me."
"It's not that this job is bad, it's mainly because I know them too well. Once they make this arrangement, I know what they mean."
Having said this, he suddenly paused and didn't continue.
Han Mo raised his eyes and looked at him.
He knew that Shen Zheng had a younger sister, but he had never seen her and had only heard him mention her a few times.
He and Shen Zheng have known each other for nearly ten years. They were comrades who walked from the compound to the special training team together, but he had little contact with his family.
After a while, Shen Zheng swallowed the food in his mouth and continued:
"They're probably hoping my sister will pick a suitable partner among the new recruits here."
"Oh, I feel uncomfortable just thinking about those wolf cubs jumping around in front of my sister."
"If you ask me, these newcomers are still too young and useless. If you want to pick someone, don't choose from them."
The faint disdain revealed in Shen Zheng's words was not concealed at all.
Han Mo raised an eyebrow. He wasn't very interested in other people's family affairs. He just asked calmly, "So...what do you want me to do for you? Transfer your sister away?"
Shen Zheng waved his hand: "There's no need to bother you to transfer him away. Even if he's transferred away this time, my parents will find another way to achieve their goal."
Han Mo nodded and waited for his next words.
Shen Zheng paused with his chopsticks, then suddenly, with a flattering look on his face, he placed two pieces of plump, shiny braised pork on Han Mo's plate. He smiled a little embarrassedly and said, "Well... I was thinking that since you'll be staying in the compound for a while, how about..."
Han Mo: "Hmm?"
Chen Zheng: "How about... you help look after my sister? Just scare off those restless recruits and prevent them from disturbing my sister."
The compound in this area is specially prepared for the training and daily life of newcomers, so most of the people who stay here are newcomers.
When the time is right and the newcomers are able to develop further, they will move to another compound in the East District to continue living.
That compound is much larger than this one, with a more complex personnel and more things to pay attention to, so this can be considered as the most basic screening first.
But despite this, there is no shortage of good candidates here. Han Mo doesn't quite understand why Shen Zheng doesn't want his sister to choose a partner from this group of new recruits.
"Why did you suddenly stop talking?" Han Mo's sudden silence made Shen Zheng a little nervous.
In terms of title and position, Han Mo is higher than him, so it is indeed not good to ask him for help.
But from a friendship perspective, this was just a small favor, otherwise Shen Zheng wouldn't have asked so rashly.
Han Mo pursed his lips and asked, "How do you want me to take care of it?"
Shen Zheng thought for a moment and said, "For example, if someone deliberately approaches and disturbs my sister, I'd like you to help drive them away."
Han Mo nodded and said, "Okay."
Shen Zheng smiled, and there was an extra layer of gratitude in his eyes when he looked at him.
For a moment, Han Mo wondered if Shen Zheng was really thinking too much.
Everyone here is busy. How could there be so many people who would deliberately approach and disturb his sister to the point where he has to help keep an eye on them?
Although the sudden appearance of a girl in this compound mostly populated by men was a bit eye-catching, it only stirred up the situation for a few days before everyone got used to it. It wasn't as exaggerated as Shen Zheng had imagined.
But what Shen Zheng said next made him pause suddenly.
"It just so happens that my sister works in the infirmary. I'm going to go see her after dinner. You can come with me, and you two can get to know each other."
Han Mo's mind instantly flashed back to the beautiful figure he had just met on the road. Her every move exuded a unique aura...
She suddenly turned around and smiled, her picturesque features becoming more lively, and she asked him softly what to call him.
Coincidentally, her last name also happened to be Shen.
So... she must be the sister that Shen Zheng was talking about.
With such an eye-catching presence, it’s no wonder... Shen Zheng was so worried that she would be deliberately approached and disturbed.
