Chapter 100: Mr. Gu’s Chatty “Madam” 5

Although Gu Nianchen is the only direct descendant of the Gu family, Gu Chengfeng does not take him seriously because he has always been brooding over the loss of the jade pendant.

After getting married, Gu Nianchen had a lot of free time and could just live in his own small house.

But Bai Luoyu, this funny guy, can only stay in his room every day. He is going crazy and keeps clamoring to go out.

I want to cancel the agreement with Gu Nianchen and replace it with something else.

"Please, Gu Nianchen, please let me go. I can be your slave. Can you ride me out when you go out again? I don't want to stay in the house anymore." Bai Luoyu said to Gu Nianchen with resentment.

[It’s not a good idea to go out and ride such an exciting bike! ]

Gu Nianchen imagined it in his mind and almost laughed out loud.

"I'm going to the stone mine tomorrow. You come with me. From now on, you will be my follower in front of outsiders, and you will still be Madam Gu when you return home." Gu Nianchen looked at Bai Luoyu's mental state. If he continued to be locked up like this, he would probably go crazy.

Besides, he had to go to the stone mine, and he was worried about leaving Bai Luoyu alone at home.

"Really? That's great! I can finally get out. What is the stone mine used for?" Bai Luoyu happily threw a punch on the spot.

"Stone mines are easy to understand, right?" Gu Nianchen didn't understand why this question needed explanation.

"A stone mine?"

"Um!"

"What's the point of mining stones?"

"Build houses, city walls, repair bridges..." Gu Nianchen felt that Bai Luoyu not only talked a lot, but also asked a lot of questions.

"Oh, no need to say more. I won't understand even if you say it. Anyway, it's fine as long as I can get out." Bai Luoyu waved his hand, indicating that he didn't want to listen anymore.

Gu Nianchen was so angry that he laughed: "You asked it yourself, and you don't want to listen."

"If you don't understand, then don't want to listen. Let me ask you something. You said you wanted revenge, so who is your enemy? I feel that your cultivation is quite high, can't you take revenge?" Bai Luoyu heard Gu Nianchen say that he would let them go free only after taking revenge, but he didn't see Gu Nianchen take any action, so he was still a little anxious.

"If I just kill him, it would be too easy for him. I have to make him lose everything before he dies, which would be considered true revenge." Gu Nianchen felt that he hadn't felt this bloodthirsty for a long time.

"Oh." Bai Luoyu felt a chill all over his body, and the temperature in the room dropped several degrees in an instant.

"Do you want to leave so much? What do you want to do after you leave?" Gu Nianchen asked.

Bai Luoyu was stunned by this question. He thought about it seriously for a while and said, "I don't know either. I feel that being with you is pretty good. You provide food and accommodation. It's just that my sister has been staying in the small house all the time, and I'm a little worried."

"Okay, I understand. Can you do it as soon as possible?" Bai Luoyu felt a little uncomfortable with the tone of Gu Nianchen coaxing the child, but also enjoyed it a little.

"good."

-------------------------------------

The next morning.

Before the sun rose and the sky turned slightly yellow, Gu Nianchen set off with Bai Luoyu.

The two of them took some simple luggage and set off on two horses.

Gu Nianchen checked the map, found the right direction and headed towards the mountains.

It was not until the sun had risen overhead and beads of sweat had appeared on Bai Luoyu's forehead that the two stopped to rest.

"Drink some water and eat some dry food. We'll be there soon." Gu Nianchen handed the water bottle and dry food to Bai Luoyu.

"Yeah, this place is really remote. Are there any workers inside?" Bai Luoyu asked while eating. He was no stranger to the mountains.

"I don't know now. I can only find out when I go there." Gu Nianchen thought that there probably wasn't any. How could a stone mine that didn't make money have the money to support so many workers?

Master Bai Luoyu's retreat was deep in the mountains, which meant they had very little to eat.

When we go down the mountain to buy food, only some of the food can be kept for a long time. The other vegetables we eat are wild vegetables from the mountains, and the meat is hunted pheasants and rabbits.

It was not until Bai Luoyu was 14 years old that his master taught him how to grow vegetables. Only then did he realize that his master was just lazy.

From then on, Bai Luoyu would buy a lot of seeds and fruit tree seedlings when he went down the mountain and bring them back to plant himself.

Thinking of this, Bai Luoyu felt a little sad. The fruit trees he planted should be able to bear fruit next year, but it's a pity that his master will never be able to see it again.

"Have you rested well? Let's go. We have to get there before dark, otherwise we will have to spend the night in the woods." Gu Nianchen packed his luggage and took another look at the map.

"Okay, let's go. Are you scared? I grew up in the mountains." Bai Luoyu jumped on the horse and said proudly.

"Oh, yes, I forgot. I'll leave dinner to you. I don't want to just eat dry food." Gu Nianchen also got on his horse and found the right direction to lead the way.

"No problem!" Bai Luoyu agreed readily.

The two of them traveled quickly all the way and finally arrived at the quarry before dark.

Bai Luoyu looked at the desolate stone mine in front of him and the several dilapidated houses next to it, and felt a pang of regret in his heart.

I thought life here might be a bit tough, but I didn't expect it to be like this. Is this house habitable?

"Is there any ghost in this place?" Bai Luoyu felt scared when he looked at the big black hole left by quarrying on the mountain.

"Young man, you have read too many picture books. Where are the monsters? Let's go and take a look." Gu Nianchen walked towards the small house.

The courtyard was dilapidated, the gate had long disappeared, and the yard was overgrown with weeds.

When I went in, I saw a stone table in the yard. When I walked into the room, I saw a lot of cobwebs inside and the table tops were covered with dust.

"Cough...cough cough!" Bai Luoyu kept coughing because of choking.

When Gu Nianchen heard Bai Luoyu coughing, he quickly took out his handkerchief and covered Bai Luoyu's mouth.

"Hold it. It seems no one has been here for a long time. Let's go see if there is any water." Gu Nianchen pulled Bai Luoyu out.

I walked along the small houses all the way to the foot of the mountain, and sure enough, I saw a well at the end. This row of houses were all the same, and it seemed that this was where the workers lived back then.

"Gu Nianchen, it's obvious that no one has been here for years. There are only rotten stones. Why are we here?" Bai Luoyu didn't quite understand the purpose of their visit.

"You have no patience at all." Gu Nianchen patted Bai Luoyu's head gently.

"Ouch, hit me again." Bai Luoyu covered his head.

"How do you know what it looks like if you don't come? Besides, how do you know there are only stones here?" Gu Nianchen continued.

"You're still keeping me in suspense. I don't care. I'm going to hunt a rabbit for dinner. You go clean the room. It's so dusty and choking." Bai Luoyu threw the bag to Gu Nianchen and walked towards the woods.

"Be careful." Gu Nianchen shouted behind him.

"I understand. Don't worry."

Gu Nianchen sat down by the well and said in a cold voice, "Come out!"

A ragged man walked out of the last small courtyard.

Gu Nianchen took a look and thought that this person did not look like someone with cultivation. However, the sudden appearance of such a person in this remote place made Gu Nianchen have to be on guard.

"Who are you?" Gu Nianchen asked.
