Chapter 170 The Reborn Young Hero's Dragon (The End)

After half-truthfully fooling Master Ouyang and Madam Ouyang, Shao Gong, the young hero, and Shu Naicha were finally freed from the two old men's anxious questioning.

After dealing with Lei Yan, Shunaicha heard that Long Xun might come to Qinchuan. Having never been separated from Long Xun for so long, he missed his master... well, his father Shunaicha immediately took Ouyang Shaogong and Baili Tusu and rushed to the Ouyang residence in Qinchuan. They were caught red-handed by the Ouyang couple, who were worried about their son. He had only just finished listening to the two old people's nagging.

If Ouyang Shaogong hadn't met Shu Naicha, who was out for some fresh air, he wouldn't have been taken to Buzhou Mountain to meet Long Xun, and there wouldn't have been the later incident of completing his soul and recognizing Long Xun as his adoptive father. He also wouldn't be able to meet his lover now.

All of this filled him with gratitude towards his second brother, Shu Naicha, and he wanted to get closer to him and become more familiar with him. However, fearing that the two elders might discover their conversation inside the Ouyang residence, Shao Gong invited Shu Naicha to walk outside the city together.

In the past six months, the young hero who had been won over by Mr. Ouyang had practically become a humanoid pet, silently following behind and listening to Ouyang Shaogong openly talk to the divine dragon Shunaicha about the events of recent years.

Although Shu Naicha was as innocent as a child, his expression couldn't help but jump with surprise as he listened to Ouyang Shaogong's story, but he politely didn't interrupt him. It wasn't until Ouyang Shaogong mentioned that Long Xun and Yin Chen discovered that the Heavenly Fire had destroyed Ganquan Village and went to the Heavenly Realm that he finally spoke up when Ouyang Shaogong paused, saying, "So that's how it is! I was wondering why I couldn't sense my father's presence when we got to the ground."

Ouyang Shaogong simply smiled slightly.

Shunacha scratched his cheek with his chubby little hand, thought for a moment and then said, "You gave the Burning Sword to Qianyu, why didn't you stay in the Yaoshan Illusion for a while longer? I remember Qianyu missed you a lot."

Before being punished by being sent underground to clean up the ley lines, Shunacha was traveling and became friends with the black dragon Qianyu. Even after so many years, the simple-minded little milk tea mouse still misses his friend.

Ouyang Shaogong shook his head slightly and chuckled, "Changqin is more suited to him. The past is gone, and now I am just Ouyang Shaogong, but Crown Prince Changqin is still Crown Prince Changqin."

Shunacha, not understanding the deeper meaning behind those words, muttered with round eyes, "So profound..."

“You could also think that now that I’ve found someone to rely on, I don’t want anyone else to bother me,” Ouyang Shaogong said with a smile, giving the young hero a meaningful look.

Upon hearing this, Baili Tusu looked up at Ouyang Shaogong, only to meet Ouyang's smiling eyes. The gentle, jade-like face with its beautiful smile made the shy young hero blush. He quickly pretended to be nonchalant and turned his head away to look at the scenery.

Turning his head, the young hero saw an unexpected figure. Slightly surprised, his eyes widened, and he murmured, "Senior Long...?"

Under a willow tree not far away, Long Xun, clad in cold, hard black armor, with a white beard and silver hair tied up, stood there for an unknown amount of time, gazing in this direction for an unknown duration. He exuded an increasingly cold and unapproachable aura.

The aura reminded Shunacha of when he first arrived in this world, and he couldn't help but shrink back in fear.

Ouyang Shaogong keenly sensed something was amiss and, with a smile, led the way toward Long Xun. The closer they got, the more uncomfortable an aura emanated from Long Xun became.

Although the subtle negative emotions such as twisted malice, weariness, desolation, boredom, and apathy that were inadvertently revealed were faint, they undoubtedly left a deep impression on Ouyang Shaogong, who had once been in a state of despair and madness.

"Godfather—?! You... don't look too well?" Ouyang Shaogong asked tentatively with a smile, "Could it be that Godfather is injured..."

Long Xun's sudden gaze made Ouyang Shaogong shut his mouth.

The moment Long Xun raised his eyes, his dark, thick, dark golden vertical pupils, as if they contained molten lava from hell, were clearly revealed. The chilling killing intent emanating from him was like countless sharp knives pointing at them in the air, instantly soaking the backs of the three of them with cold sweat.

Ouyang Shaogong had a terrible premonition that if he continued speaking, his godfather might not be able to resist drawing his sword at him.

Although he understood that it was just that his godfather was currently exuding too much killing intent and did not mean that he would actually make a move, this killing intent still made Ouyang Shaogong's throat tighten and he could not make a sound.

Ouyang Shaogong was right. Long Xun's glance was just a casual one. After scanning him, he looked away and said indifferently, "Achen is dead."

Before Shao Gong and the young hero could react, Shu Naicha blurted out, "What?! Another one dead?!"

Long Xun's face, which was as cold and frozen as an ancient glacier, showed a hint of pain as if he had been stabbed. But in the blink of an eye, the faint pain disappeared, leaving only his eyes looking even darker.

He responded coldly, his tone filled with a mockery that seemed directed at no one in particular, and said in a low voice, "Yes... he's dead again."

Before Shu Naicha could say anything more, Ouyang Shaogong quickly tugged at his sleeve, telling him to shut up and stop stabbing his godfather in the back.

Ouyang Shaogong almost doubted whether his cheap second brother could make him hear the sound of the sea just by shaking his head.

After a suffocating silence, Long Xun seemed to struggle to muster his strength and asked again, "Shao Gong, are you and Baili together?"

Ouyang Shaogong remained silent, worried that his happiness might cause new wounds to Long Xun, who had just lost his lover.

Ouyang Shaogong, who was once on the verge of becoming a psychopath, knew very well that Long Xun was currently in a state where he was very likely unable to bear seeing others find happiness.
