Chapter 173 The Darkened and Tyrannical Dragon (Part Two)

The Second Prince was originally the most popular candidate for the throne, but a mysteriously appearing chosen one blocked his path, which naturally made him unwilling to accept it. The Seventh Prince, being cunning and shrewd, could see the Second Prince's resentment and, with a few inflammatory words, the Second Prince foolishly plotted this assassination.

The Fifth Prince, adhering to his usual low-key approach, did not get involved, preferring to remain a passive observer. The Eighth Prince did the same.

The moment Long discovered the Ninth Prince's memories, he realized who was behind it all.

Evidence? What is evidence?

He didn't need evidence, nor did he need to consider the consequences. These two people already wanted his life and had taken action, so Long Xun simply sent them to their deaths.

If anyone tries to pull any tricks, he will do the same.

So when the Fifth Prince, feeling uneasy, rallied the ministers on his side to launch a joint attack on the Ninth Prince in court, accusing him of various crimes, and the Emperor immediately dispatched the Imperial Guards to arrest Long Xun...

Long Xun, clad in the Heavenly Strategy Armor and carrying a spear, stepped out of his mansion and charged towards the palace.

The palace gates were naturally closed, and no one was going to open them for him. But when Long Xun struck the gate with the end of his spear, the gate had to be split open.

The palace was turned into a river of blood overnight.

If the emperor knew that Long Xun really dared to kill him, and had the ability to kill him even when surrounded by the entire Imperial Guards, he would never lay a hand on Long Xun.

If the Fifth Prince knew that Long Xun was truly reckless and dared to force the emperor to abdicate with just a gun and a single man, he wouldn't have taken action; instead, he would have kept a low profile.

Unfortunately, they didn't know.

In the royal family, only the eighth prince, who was determined to be a coward, survived overnight.

The thirteen-year-old boy sat high on the throne, dressed in a black imperial robe and crown, his handsome and delicate face showing a weary and cold expression.

The Grand Eunuch had been killed, and now the young eunuch standing below the throne, with his youthful face, trembled as he held up a corner of the blood-stained edict of succession and read it haltingly.

Long Xun calmly observed the ministers in the court, each with their own distinct expression.

He slaughtered all the palace maids and eunuchs with impure intentions, and the spies from various factions were unable to spread the news. These officials were still unaware of the chaos that had ensued in the palace.

He has no interest in holding a high position, but whether he wants to find A-Chen or Bei-Chen, he will need a lot of manpower.

He was able to force Bei Chen into a corner in the Tianyan World because no one dared to disregard his Dragon God's decree.

However, here, the identity of the Ninth Prince alone is not enough to make the people of the world work for him.

The Ninth Prince, by all accounts, is a chosen one, and no one is more qualified to be emperor than him. Yet some people overestimate themselves and resort to scheming and trickery. If they dare to extend their claws, Long Xun will slaughter them all.

When mercy and compassion are seen as weakness and vulnerability, then God's ruthlessness will show people why His majesty is inviolable.

The edict of succession had been read, but not a single civil or military official knelt down.

Some of these ministers were neutral, while others had already pledged allegiance to the princes they favored. However, the Ninth Prince, despite being favored by the Emperor, lacked confidence due to his personality and background, and not a single minister had firmly pledged allegiance to him; in the past, they had only observed from the sidelines.

Now it's obvious that Long Xun is forcing his way into power. He's not even bothering to cover it up, there's blood on the edict! So all these ministers are hesitant.

Some neutral officials and ministers who were inclined to side with the Ninth Prince harbored resentment towards him... oh no, Your Majesty now! If you had just concealed your true intentions a little, they would have readily knelt down and kowtowed to the Emperor! Your shameless actions have put them in a difficult position!

Unfortunately, they didn't know... that Long Xun's undisguised actions were actually a way to justify killing.

Kill those ministers who take advantage of the situation to cause trouble.

The Ninth Prince was assassinated, and the Second and Seventh Princes died at his hands. The Fifth Prince of the Emperor could not tolerate it and directly sent the Imperial Guards to arrest the Ninth Prince. Long Xun forced the emperor to abdicate, killed the Fifth Prince of the Emperor, and massacred the palace... All of this happened in a short period of time after Long Xun arrived and woke up yesterday.

These officials had no idea that the people they supported were all dead. Only the Eighth Prince, who had no presence and no one had any faith in, was still alive. He was so frightened that he stayed in bed, pretending to be sick, and was worried that the god of death, the Ninth Prince, would come and kill him one day.

Long Xun was too lazy to speak. He simply propped his chin up and looked at the ministers who were looking at each other with a cold and bored expression.

The weariness in his heart piled up, causing the dark gold in his eyes to churn, and a terrifying, chilling murderous aura rose up, making the entire court as cold as in the dead of winter.

The young eunuch, covered in cold sweat, glanced tremblingly at the young emperor, nearly wetting himself from the brutal cruelty emanating from those inhuman vertical pupils.

In a moment of quick thinking, he cried out in a shrill voice, "Why haven't you gentlemen paid your respects to the new emperor yet? What are you waiting for?"

Hurry up and pray! For your own lives!

The young eunuch knelt at Long Xun's feet. He saw the boots beneath the black imperial robes, still those gleaming silver boots.

Suddenly, a terrible thought arose in the young eunuch's mind.

His Majesty... never intended to properly win over his court officials!

The eunuch's scream shattered the silence in the room. The ministers exchanged glances, and several suddenly stepped forward, looking upright and incorruptible, and angrily demanded of Long Xun, "How did the Ninth Prince obtain this edict of succession? Where is His Majesty? Where are the other princes?"

Long Xun didn't speak, but merely raised his eyelids and looked at them wearily.

His silence was mistakenly interpreted as indifference, prompting more ministers to step forward. One said, "Without His Majesty's oral decree, it's still unknown whether this edict is forged." Another said, "The Ninth Prince is still too young to shoulder such a heavy responsibility." Then, a minister hypocritically remarked, "Perhaps His Majesty truly favors the Ninth Prince, but this edict was obtained too early..."
