Chapter 202 Extra: A-Tan & Mu Chunfeng (Part 1)

When Atan first met Mu Chunfeng, she was a small snake with squinty eyes, and Mu Chunfeng was just a young Vermilion Bird.

In the Phoenix God Palace, his slender body was wrapped around his father's wrist. He peeked out from his sleeve and looked at his father with curiosity. The gentle and holy boy, who was like a ray of light, smiled slightly at him.

In an instant, countless little flowers seemed to bloom in A-Tan's naive and ignorant heart.

He stood there for a moment, then turned his head away shyly, hiding himself back in his father's sleeve, thinking how beautiful the bird's smile was.

When Mu Chunfeng first met A Tan, he couldn't help but take another look at him, seeing how he could freely move money in and out of the sleeve of the cold dragon god's arm.

The unremarkable little blue snake raised its head and looked over, exuding an air of bewildered stupidity.

The naivety and foolishness that only appear when someone is loved and cherished.

Mu Chunfeng narrowed her eyes, smiled gently at him, and watched as he suddenly disappeared back into the Dragon God's sleeve and never came out again. She then lowered her eyes.

How enviable that your father, so indifferent, still indulges you.

The second time Atan met Mu Chunfeng was during the Vermilion Bird Clan's rebellion and their declaration of war against the divine beasts.

He barely grew claws and horns from a snake... but he was still just as small, only as thick as a child's arm. If you didn't look closely, you would think he was a snake rather than a dragon, and he couldn't transform into human form.

Mu Chunfeng, however, had already transformed from a boy of twelve or thirteen into a handsome young man. The Vermilion Bird's growth period was also very long, taking thousands of years to transform from a boy to a young man.

But compared to A-Tan, who hatched at the same time as Mu Zhuque, and whose four children only emerged after Mu Zhuque and Fenghuang had fallen out and all of them had already achieved profound cultivation... the growth period of the Zhuque clan is already touchingly short.

Atan was unfortunately captured by the rebellious Suzaku and taken to their territory, where he was about to be executed as a sacrifice to their flag.

It was at that moment that he saw the bird that had once smiled so beautifully, standing inside the fire cage, bound by the array, yet still smiling serenely, pure and composed.

And he saved his life with his words.

Atan's heart was pounding, as if little flowers were about to sprout.

He couldn't speak, had low cultivation, and was locked up next to Mu Chunfeng. He watched him anxiously, and even after his father rescued him, he was still worried about him.

When Mu Chunfeng saw A Tan for the second time, the other man already looked somewhat like a dragon, but his eyes were still narrow and horizontal, which made Mu Chunfeng recognize him.

At that time, he was tricked out of the Phoenix God Palace. His elder brother, Mu Xiafeng, along with his two younger brothers, trapped him in a small world, waiting for the rebellion to end so they could shift all the blame onto him.

Mu Chunfeng had never experienced family affection. Apart from giving him the title of Crown Prince, his father had never looked at him again. And his mother... always harbored murderous intentions towards him.

He clearly remembered that when he was young and ignorant, he saw his mother was sad and tried to comfort her carefully. However, when he approached, his mother struck him with a palm. When she realized who he was, she did not stop, but instead increased the force of her palm strike...

If it weren't for Her Majesty the Phoenix God taking him away when he was on the verge of death, Mu Chunfeng wouldn't have grown this big.

The first embrace I ever felt in my life came from Mu Feng. The first tender care and love I ever experienced came from Mu Feng.

Later, he tried to get closer to his relatives, but it didn't work.

His heart turned cold, and he thought, "Never mind, anyway, His Majesty the Phoenix God loves me very much."

Even though he still wanted revenge, a dark shadow of wanting to destroy what he couldn't have kept churning in his heart... However, whenever he thought that the Phoenix Goddess who had raised him with such care would be heartbroken because of this, Mu Chunfeng restrained himself, concealed his distorted heart by learning the Phoenix Goddess's gentleness and kindness.

But he didn't want to get entangled with those people anymore, yet they wouldn't let him go.

Mu Chunfeng felt strangely relaxed; they had given him a reason to take action, which was really great.

He never expected to see Atan.

Seeing that Mu Xiafeng was about to kill A Tan, Mu Chunfeng suddenly hesitated for a moment.

If A-Tan dies here, the Dragon God will be enraged, and the Vermilion Bird Clan, whom he despises, will be reduced to ashes under the Dragon God's wrath... Just thinking about this makes Mu Chunfeng want to laugh with excitement.

However, the Vermilion Bird Clan was wiped out, and the Dragon God's child was also killed... Will the Phoenix God be sad?

He stopped Mu Xiafeng.

A-Tan's grateful look only made him laugh.

Could it be that he thought... Mu Chunfeng, who was already twisted to the core, would still harbor good intentions?

This guy is not only dull-witted but also foolish and naive; he's unworthy of being the son of the Dragon God.

But the Dragon God never abandoned him.

How lucky.

So lucky it's enviable.

Mu Chunfeng watched as A Tan next door was rescued by the Dragon God. His dark eyes were devoid of any light, and a slight smile played on his lips, giving him an inexplicably cold look.

The flames flickered on the cage imprisoning him, casting a crimson glow on Mu Chunfeng's face, which only made him appear even more eerie, as if he had just crawled out of a pool of blood.

When Atan saw Mu Chunfeng for the third time, her father was furious because of Bei Chengqi's death. Stars shattered, and countless living beings vanished into silence forever in the surging darkness.

Flames danced across Suzaku's body, exuding an aura of divine solemnity and purity, yet his eyes were filled with a violent cruelty and twisted malice.

A-Tan was always hidden in his father's sleeve, and his father never avoided him. He knew why Mu Chunfeng had become so deranged.

His father wanted to kill Mu Chunfeng. A-Tan knew that Mu Chunfeng had done something wrong and deserved to be punished, but he had once saved Mu Chunfeng's life with a single sentence. So A-Tan secretly rubbed his head against his father's hand from inside his sleeve.

The father hesitated before unleashing his killing move, instead severely injuring Zhuque with a single palm strike and forcibly transforming it into human form to keep it by his side.

Amidst her father's rampage and bloodshed, Mu Chunfeng, though imprisoned, laughed heartily and arrogantly, her eyes shining with an astonishing brightness.
