Chapter 28 The Dragon of the Transmigrated Trio (Part Fourteen)

The night was deep and quiet.

The clean-cut Long Xun walked down the dark street with the blood-stained Gu Nu, Chen Ziqi, and Yin Bei behind him. At this time, apart from the night watchman, there was basically no one else on the street.

Chen Ziqi tried to comfort the Gu woman, but the frightened girl was still absent-minded and seemed to be thinking a beat slower, which was very worrying.

Then, after turning a corner and arriving at a rather secluded place, Long Xun suddenly turned around and looked at Yin Bei, saying calmly, "Was it you who sent people to deal with Chen Ziqi today?"

“Not bad.” Yin Bei’s face was almost transparently pale, but his eyes remained calm and restrained. Only when he saw Long Xun did a hint of wariness appear in his eyes.

His voice was calm and restrained to the point of being almost mechanical.

Long Xun ignored the sense of familiarity this person evoked and simply said, "Kneel down and kowtow to her to apologize."

Chen Ziqi was immediately shocked. She ignored the terrified Gu woman who was still immersed in her own world and stared at Long Xun with wide eyes.

Prince Yin Bei of the Southern Kingdom frowned deeply, a sharp aura emanating from him. He calmly said, "Isn't what the Grand Preceptor is doing far too humiliating?"

Long Xun didn't waste any more words with him. He raised his hand and gently pressed down on his shoulder. Yin Bei tried to dodge, but the dragon's movements, though seemingly light and slow, were impossible for him to avoid.

When that hand landed on his shoulder, an irresistible force surged through him. Yin Bei tried to straighten his knees, but heard a pitiful groan emanating from both of his leg bones.

Click!

He knelt down, not of his own volition, but because his legs were crushed when he tried to resist that immense force.

The intense pain made Yin Bei tremble all over, and he gritted his teeth to keep himself from groaning.

Utter disgrace!

Long Xun ignored Yin Bei's furious expression and said, "Disregarding the lives of living beings is wrong, and mistakes should be punished. If you think these deserved punishments are an insult, then to avoid being insulted, you can simply stop making mistakes."

Even though Long Xun felt a strange sense of familiarity with Yin Bei, that familiarity would not make him forget his purpose in coming to the Pingnan Prince's Mansion: to seek justice for Chen Ziqi.

Chen Ziqi opened her mouth slightly, wanting to stop Long Xun, but she quickly gave up the idea.

Long Xun was standing up for her; he didn't have to go to such lengths. But because they were friends, and she almost died at the hands of the Prince of the South, this dragon was furious.

Long Xun bent down slightly, his cold and lazy golden vertical pupils staring at Yin Bei, who had quickly concealed his ferocious expression and regained his calm and restraint except for a little bit of forbearance. He said softly, "I'm still giving you face. I didn't make you kneel down in your house."

Long Xun said quietly, "Now, you should apologize."

Yin Bei stared at him for a long time, but those bright, star-like eyes finally looked away.

He said coldly to Chen Ziqi, "Miss Chen, today's events were my fault. I have disturbed you, and I am truly... deeply sorry."

Hearing the voice filled with deep hatred, Chen Ziqi managed to maintain her cold, indifferent demeanor as an assassin, barely managing to keep her expression from changing. She nodded and said, "I accept your apology."

Only now did Long Xun reach out and lift Yin Bei up. The Southern Prince's broken legs drooped naturally under gravity, and the intense pain made him tremble again, his hatred growing even stronger.

Long Xun glanced again at the group of green butterflies following behind the Gu woman. These small butterflies quickly swarmed around, their wings fluttering and scattering pale green fluorescence, which landed on the Prince of the South. Yin Bei felt a warm current wash over his legs, and the intense pain quickly disappeared.

He stared at the swarm of butterflies with an inscrutable gaze, but Long Xun's voice rang out again in a hateful tone: "Oh~ by the way, wherever these two of my friends are, if they suffer any harm, you should worry about your and your father's lives. You'd better tell your father this as well."

"Why?!" Yin Bei could no longer contain his anger. He looked at the dragon that seemed pure and untainted by the world, yet was surprisingly ruthless, and said angrily, "Does this mean that if anything happens to them, I have to take the blame?"

“Not bad.” Long Xun didn’t care about all that. He knew that people were too cunning for him to handle, but he didn’t need to pay attention to them.

Human beings are afraid of death, which is a very good threat to their weaknesses.

Yin Bei was indeed planning to torment Chen Ziqi and the Gu woman thoroughly after this incident. He had already devised many methods to extricate himself from the situation perfectly.

But Long Xun's threat hit the nail on the head. He couldn't hurt these two women, and he would even have to do his best to protect them in the future!

Even someone as calm and restrained as Yin Bei couldn't suppress the anger and fear in his heart.

He couldn't help but yell angrily, "Are you even being reasonable?"

"I won't say." Long Xun had already turned his head to face Chen Ziqi: "The matter of the Prince of Pingnan has been resolved. You should send the Gu woman back first and tell her to rest well. I will take the young master to see Yin Chen."

Chen Ziqi glanced at the Gu woman, who seemed to have lost her mind, nodded, and helped her away.

When Long Xun brought Yin Bei into the palace and found Yin Chen, the emperor was still diligently reviewing memorials. When he saw the disheveled Yin Bei and Long Xun with blood on his tail, Yin Chen was only slightly surprised before showing a harmless and amiable smile again, and said with a smile, "Grand Preceptor, and my lovely cousin~! What happened to you two?"
