Few people dared to answer him anymore; only three people nodded without hesitation.
Long Xun released Yin Chen's hand and said calmly, "Very good."
Yin Chen, who had been quietly standing beside him, suddenly turned into a blur. When he returned to his original position, the scientists were horrified to discover that each of the three men who dared to nod had a needle inserted into their carotid artery. Only a little bit of bright red blood remained in the needles, indicating that it was blood that had been left behind.
Then, the three scientists let out terrified screams, collapsed in agony, rolled on the ground, their skin bulging as if some terrible insects were crawling under their skin, pushing up bulges. In a short while, their wails turned into the hoarse, hissing sounds of the zombies outside.
People scattered in fear. These elites among humans included middle-aged and elderly people. These seemingly powerless individuals suddenly seemed to have awakened speed or spatial abilities, quickly dodging into a circle. A circle suddenly opened up around the three rolling scientists.
Under such public scrutiny, the scientists' skin wrinkled and then quickly plumped up, as if they had been reborn, transforming into the bodies of young people. If it weren't for their bluish skin indicating their different status, they would probably be no different from humans.
As the intense pain subsided, the three scientists, still trembling slightly, curled up on the ground. Long Xun's cold voice, like a demon's, echoed in everyone's ears: "This is the blood I took from an intelligent zombie that surpasses even advanced zombies. It can transform humans into zombies with the same intelligence. Since you want to study it, here are three great zombies who have dedicated themselves to science. They also possess intelligence. Study them to your heart's content."
"No...no no no!" a scientist cried out in despair, touching his body.
After becoming zombies, their cold bodies had no heartbeat, their blood stopped flowing, and the world they saw became strange. All of this drove the three scientists to the brink of collapse.
They angrily ripped the syringes from their necks and threw them aside, roaring at Long Xun, "What the hell have you done?!"
Long Xun ignored them and turned his attention to the others.
Dr. Xu shuddered at the indifferent gaze, quickly waving his hand to signal the others to restrain the three test subjects. He forced a smile and said, "Since... since we already have test subjects, we naturally won't disturb Mr. Po any further... Mr. Po is in the conference room now. Would you like me to show you the way?"
"No need," Long Xun said calmly, taking Yin Chen's hand and turning to leave.
Before leaving, Yin Chen glanced back at the group of doctors who were now frantically surrounding the three zombie scientists, and gave them a somewhat strange smile.
The blood was taken from his body, and the mutated virus inside him can now transform humans into zombies without losing their minds, but they are just ordinary zombies. The Zombie King... only has a soul.
So righteously letting others go to their deaths, but when it's their turn, they show such a desperate and hateful expression?
Yin Chen met the hateful gazes of the three zombie scientists in the crowd, bared his fangs, and bulged veins on his pale face. He lightly licked his lips with his bright red tongue, then looked at the three frightened zombie scientists with satisfaction before quickly turning his head away.
Desperate screams rang out from the crowd. The zombie scientists, who had been injected with tranquilizers, collapsed, were tied up, and taken away.
Yin Chen, who had been watching all this, could naturally see the fearful and wary looks in the eyes of the intact humans. He knew that by doing this, Long Xun had essentially drawn a huge chasm between himself and humanity, but... what did it matter?
With a pure and innocent smile, when Yin Chen turned around, all his ferocious appearance had disappeared, and he was back to his beautiful and cute, fairy-like appearance, looking extremely harmless.
He held Long Xun's large, warm hand tightly and followed behind him with light steps.
He doesn't care what happens to others. If it weren't for Long Xun, humans... would just be food in his eyes.
Po was resting quietly in the conference room that had been specially arranged for him. The spacious conference room had floor-to-ceiling windows on one side, and the room was empty except for him.
Others may not know or understand what's going on with him, but surely Po himself knows?
He had long anticipated this day, which is why he was able to leave with Dr. Xu so calmly. Even being forced onto the research table for dissection wasn't unexpected.
How worried his companions must have been about the future of humanity... Po was unwilling and did not want to face the day when the people who personally forced him were his comrades who had fought side by side with him through life and death, so he simply chose this path himself.
At least he can comfort himself by saying that this was his own choice, not that he was betrayed.
He sat there quietly with his eyes lowered, his obsidian-like eyes half-hidden by his eyelids. He sat there stiffly, his body as rigid as a stone, as if he were a prisoner who knew he was going to die and was waiting for judgment, silent yet filled with despair.
'Don't panic, I'll save you.'
As Cameron mouthed to him before leaving, Po suddenly chuckled, a hint of mockery appearing in his cold black eyes.
If they really knew what he was, his companions would probably be the first to attack him, right?
After all, those people were so full of justice, and they hated the zombies that destroyed everything.
