Chapter 55 Reborn as a Dragon in the Zombie World (The End)

No sooner had Luo Qisheng finished speaking than a beam of ice spikes was launched from Zhang Moyu's hand, who had been holding back for a long time, and landed right in front of her.

"What you've been through is indeed tragic, but how is your behavior any different from those who hurt you?" Zhang Moyu said coldly, "There is so much ugliness and unkindness in this world, but do you dare say that you didn't encounter anyone who spoke up for you back then? You also said that your husband supports you, so why aren't you satisfied with him?"

“Condescending sympathy and pity…” Po murmured, then suddenly shook his head: “Your mind was already twisted back then. Even when others expressed goodwill, you saw it as malice.”

"What? You're still blaming me now? Did I do something wrong? Everyone deserves to die! Deserves to die! Deserves to die!" Luo Qisheng screamed, then chuckled maniacally, "But all you can do now is hate me. Soon, very soon, you'll all be going to hell with me!"

Duan Geng couldn't hold back and was about to slap Luo Qisheng across the face, but Yin Bei grabbed his wrist.

The iron-like force made Duan Geng secretly startled. Yin Bei looked at the crazed Luo Qisheng, and even after hearing her crazy words, his calm expression remained unchanged.

"Ms. Luo, I don't care about any virus, I just want to know, where is Chenchen?"

"Did you think I would tell you?" Luo Qisheng gave a strange smile, then looked at Long Xun, her gaze gradually becoming hazy, her tone soft as if whispering to a lover: "A-Xun... I'll come to find you right away, don't worry, you won't leave alone..."

As Luo Qisheng spoke, to everyone's surprise, he suddenly pulled out a dagger and plunged it into his chest.

The sudden turn of events caused Qi Qi to scream. Wang Yimo quickly pulled her into his arms to prevent her from seeing the blood splattering. Before anyone could stop the woman from committing suicide, her eyes, filled with a mixture of laughter, hatred, and a hint of affection, lingered on Long Xun's face as she slowly collapsed.

He died.

Long Xun neither spoke nor tried to stop him.

This woman is indeed pitiful, but her tragedy cannot justify her wanton harm to others.

Victims are just victims; they don't occupy a moral high ground or have the right to do whatever they want just because they are victims. Being hurt is not a justification for someone to commit crimes. Once a person transforms from a victim to a perpetrator, they have already fallen from grace.

Long Xun didn't feel sorry for Luo Qisheng, and that wasn't what she needed. What she wanted was fairness—fairness in which the real perpetrators would bow down and be punished, and the victims would not be wantonly harmed by the malice of the outside world.

Unfortunately, most people in this world are incapable of empathy and can only offer sarcastic remarks. The sense of superiority and happiness they feel after seeing the misery of others leads to arrogance... Victims are inherently more sensitive than ordinary people, and therefore more easily hurt.

This situation can occur in any intelligent species, but Luo Qisheng is more capable, and the consequences of her outburst are more terrifying.

Perhaps death is the best ending for this woman. She has lost the last bit of warmth in her life, and her twisted and hateful heart makes every day of her life a torment. But if she were to live, she would pose a greater danger to others.

Perhaps the only mercy we can show her is to let her die in her fantasy of annihilating all of humanity.

...Perhaps it was precisely because Luo Qisheng understood this that she committed suicide so decisively.

Long Xun raised his eyes, his gaze sweeping over the people who were looking at Luo Qisheng's corpse with complex emotions, hatred, pity, or sorrow, before raising his head again to look at the sky.

Tiny points of light were drifting into the sky from an abandoned building not far away.

His figure suddenly disappeared from everyone's sight, and when he reappeared the next moment, he was already in a laboratory.

This is clearly Luo Qisheng's private laboratory, located in an abandoned building within the J City base. There is only one experimental table, on which a boy is lying quietly, his body covered with various wires and tubes, and his body is swollen with countless edema, just like when we first met, like a corpse that has been dead for a long time.

shimmering points of light emanated from his body. Yin Chen was not completely dead; even though his body was turning into specks of light and his breathing had stopped, he still retained consciousness.

If it weren't for these points of light, Long Xun wouldn't have been able to find him.

A faint squeaking sound came from the collar. Milk Tea, which had been too afraid to show its face since Long Xun woke up because of his murderous aura, quietly crawled out. Its black bean-like eyes looked at the boy on the lab table, and after letting out two soft cries, water welled up in its eyes, and the fur on its face was wet.

"Who...is it...?" Yin Chen's voice was hoarse and dry, barely audible, as if it were just a breath.

“Ah Chen”.

Long Xun slowly walked up to him, reached out his hand, and gently touched his face, which was so swollen that his features were no longer visible.

It was a face that began to rot, like pork that had been soaked and started to decay.

"Ah Xun... no... don't look at me..." Yin Chen tried to hide himself in a panic, but he was already unable to move.

The presence of consciousness was due to the fact that the original body was just a corpse. The fact that he could run and move meant that he was both a zombie and different from a zombie. When the substances that kept his body like a normal person, namely the D virus after the mutated J virus evolved again, were extracted, Yin Chen was already 'dead'.

Holding on until now... it's too late.

"Sorry I'm late again," Long Xun said softly. The places his fingertips touched gradually returned to their original state, and the swelling slowly subsided, revealing Yin Chen's fair and delicate skin.
