The Second World (The End)

Yin Chen lay in the bathtub, looking at the calm water, and closed his eyes slightly.

The water surface gradually rippled, forming small waves that grew larger and larger. The water surged against the bathtub wall and then crashed back, the waves growing bigger and bigger until they slowly rose up, enveloping the handsome young man as he slowly detached from the bathtub and hung in mid-air.

Yin Chen smiled slightly, his eyes narrowed, and suddenly leaped out of the water, landing on the smooth floor tiles. He casually grabbed a clean bathrobe hanging nearby and put it on. The water droplets on his hair and body defied gravity and flew up automatically, forming a bead-like pattern that gathered into the huge water sphere that was still floating and spinning in mid-air.

The steam in the bathroom was completely absorbed, and the water balloon slowly fell back into the bathtub, swirling and draining out of the drain with a gurgling sound.

A month passed quickly. He had only met the male and female protagonists once each, and they didn't have a chance to meet again. During this month, besides going to work, he spent his days picking up his supernatural abilities again.

Although his abilities may not be as strong as in that previous life, perhaps because the world is different, he can still easily control the flow of water now.

Yin Chen doesn't know what happened after he died, and he is waiting for his memories to be fully restored... Right now, he can only fully recall that life, but his personality and way of handling things are completely different from what he usually does.

For example, now.

Yin Chen sat in front of the computer with a smile. He should be very familiar with this thing, but when using it, he couldn't help but feel a few inexplicable emotions and marvel at the greatness of modern technology.

So... he must have been reincarnated in ancient times and was an emperor.

The big white cat sat upright on the round cushion that Yin Chen had prepared for him, its vertical pupils narrowed lazily, and the tip of its tail swayed gently.

When Yin Chen saw the white cat, he couldn't help but feel fortunate. If it weren't for that inexplicable kindness that day, he would never have met A-Xun again.

The white tail wagging back and forth was so attractive that Yin Chen couldn't resist reaching out and pinching the fluffy tip of the tail to stroke it. The white cat turned its head to look at him, then turned its head back, but didn't retract its tail.

Yin Chen's fox-like smile grew even wider and brighter, his eyes narrowing into slits, revealing an indescribable joy and delight.

Even though they had been spending a month together in silence, Yin Chen still felt genuinely happy about Long Xun's tolerance towards her.

Although he didn't quite understand why the arrogant and domineering leader of the Dragon Group had turned into a cat to accompany him, Yin Chen didn't want to dwell on such things.

Perhaps his ability to continuously travel through time and accumulate points is thanks to Long Xun? Or perhaps he's being taken care of by Long Xun as a friend.

However, seeing how focused Long Xun was on being a cat, he didn't say anything. He would just occasionally pretend not to know who the other was, gently touch the other's little paws and kiss it, while secretly feeling delighted.

The doorbell rang suddenly. Yin Chen was a little surprised that someone would be looking for him so late. He got up and opened the door, only to find a tall, handsome young stranger standing outside, carrying two bags of fruit.

"May I ask who you are?" Yin Chen asked with a polite smile and a hint of doubt.

"Hello, I am He Mubai... I'm so sorry for my intrusion." He Mubai looked at the handsome man in a bathrobe who opened the door, and looked away, somewhat at a loss. A faint blush appeared on his handsome face, clearly embarrassed by his rudeness.

Yin Chen gave a soft "oh," but still didn't let him in. Instead, he stood in front of the door and politely asked, "Is there anything I can help you with?"

"It's like this... a month ago I was... robbed, and you saved me. After I found out about you, I wanted to come and thank you." He Mubai said gratefully, picking up the fruit in his hand and handing it to Yin Chen, and continued, "Thank you very much, Mr. Yin."

Although the arrival of the police caused him a lot of trouble, he was still very grateful to the young man in front of him. After leaving the hospital and dealing with the police investigation, he quickly found out who the man who saved his life was and came to thank him.

Perhaps due to his family background, he was forced to do things he didn't want to do, but repaying kindness was also He Mubai's guiding principle. Whenever possible, He Mubai still wanted to become a better person.

Yin Chen smiled and took the fruit, then stepped aside: "So it's you... Please come in, don't stand at the door. I'm Yin Chen."

After exchanging a few polite words, He Mubai followed Yin Chen into the room. Yin Chen brought him slippers to change into, poured him a glass of water, and asked with genuine concern, "How are you feeling now? You looked very badly injured."

"I'm fine now," He Mubai said with a smile. He thought of the troubles at home, and his face showed some bitterness. "If it weren't for your help... I don't know where I would be dead now."

He Mubai solemnly took out his business card, presented it to Yin Chen with both hands, and said sincerely, "Mr. Yin, if there is anything you need in the future, please remember me. Although I, He Mubai, am not very talented, I still have some influence in this area."

He Mubai, who had been humble since the beginning of his visit, finally revealed his arrogance in his last sentence.

"Then thank you, Mr. He." Yin Chen didn't refuse, smiling as he accepted the business card, but didn't even glance at it.

The male protagonist is a good person, but unfortunately he was born into the wrong family.

The white cat slowly walked out of the bedroom, jumped onto the sofa, and sat down next to Yin Chen.

When He Mubai saw Long Xun appear, he froze and stammered, "Mr. Yin... Mr. Yin likes cats?"

"Not really... I only like Ah Xun." Yin Chen smiled and glanced down at his beloved cat beside him. He didn't like cats; he preferred dogs, and he also liked the cuter hamsters.
