After walking outside, Sophie quietly returned to the banquet hall.
Her eyes were drawn to the dazzling array of desserts on the corner, and she ran over happily.
“Wow, it’s delicious.”
She finished a piece of strawberry mousse cake with gusto, her eyes full of stars. When she wanted to take another piece, a big hand suddenly appeared and grabbed her wrist.
Sophie raised her eyes to look at the owner of the hand, and Dan Yechen's gloomy face suddenly appeared in front of her.
"Where have you been? Why didn't you answer my call?"

It was almost dinner time and most of the guests had arrived.
Gu Tiancheng, the head of the Gu family, was making a speech on the stage, and the guests below nodded in agreement.
"Now, I'd like to invite my good brother Jiang Yiqiu to come to the stage and share his philosophy on charity. Please give him a round of applause!"
Suddenly, Gu Tiancheng changed the subject and handed the right to speak to Jiang Yiqiu.
