Chapter 2 The Mother of the End (Part Two)

With this in mind, Bai Yan left the laboratory. Instead of returning to her dormitory, she went to a luxury apartment building near University A.

This is the apartment her brother bought for her to make it easier for her to go to school when she was admitted to University A.

However, the original owner had been heavily controlled since childhood, and once she entered university, she couldn't help but fly away. She wasn't interested in apartments, but instead was interested in the crowded six-person dorm rooms at school.

After returning to her apartment, Bai Yan quickly found the jade bracelet.

The original owner's parents died in a car accident a long time ago. This bracelet was her mother's keepsake, and her brother gave it to her after she came of age.

This jade bracelet can contain items regardless of real space, which is somewhat similar to a spatial container in a higher plane that she had visited.

However, the space container in the higher plane is bound to spiritual power, while this jade bracelet requires blood to activate.

Thinking back to the story, both the original owner and Lin Rou opened the space inside the bracelet through blood.

Bai Yan cut her finger and dripped blood onto the surface of the jade bracelet.

One second, two seconds, three seconds passed, and nothing happened.

She frowned, picked up the jade bracelet, and shook it. Could it be that she hadn't dripped enough blood?

The moment this idea came to mind, Bai Yan keenly sensed a lingering resistance from the jade bracelet.

After a moment's thought, Bai Yan realized that Lin Rou was the female lead, and the jade bracelet in her hand was the female lead's golden finger. Naturally, she wouldn't want the female lead's things to be touched by a cannon fodder supporting character like her.

Thinking of this, Bai Yan held the jade bracelet in front of her eyes and played with it, a slight smile playing on her lips: "My things, and I can't even use them?"

"OK."

After saying this, she placed the jade bracelet on the table, turned around, found a hammer in the room, and smashed it down on the bracelet without blinking.

The next second the scene in front of you disappears, and when you open your eyes again, it's a completely different scene.

Is this the space inside the jade bracelet?

Bai Yan paced around the space. The plot never described Lin Rou entering the space; the huge, limitless space was just a storage package for her.

But as soon as Bai Yan stepped into this space, she sensed the life force here. Rather than a space, it was more like a small world. The black soil under her feet was real, and grass and trees were even growing in the soil.

There was a familiar feeling here. Bai Yan lowered her eyes, but suddenly felt a chill run down her spine, as if she were being watched by a pair of malicious eyes.

She looked up and scanned the space, becoming increasingly certain that there was indeed a consciousness here, and that the consciousness was full of malice towards her.

Bai Yan quickly closed her eyes. Having traversed so many worlds, her consciousness had expanded. She probably couldn't handle real combat, but no one could control things remotely better than her.

Bai Yan easily obliterated that consciousness with her mental power and opened her eyes again.

Without that consciousness, the entire space was filled with vibrant life, and this atmosphere inexplicably made her feel relaxed.

Soon, Bai Yan's lips curled up slightly; she knew why this place felt familiar.

The energy contained here is somewhat similar to his energy, but not quite the same. At least this jade bracelet does not have the ability to travel through time and space.

This spatial jade bracelet seems to be a product of a higher-dimensional world. Could it be that it comes from an even higher-dimensional world?

Bai Yan shook her head and quickly withdrew from the jade bracelet space.

Spatial artifacts are quite rare, but she's seen even rarer things before, and her curiosity about this one only lasted a few minutes.

After emerging from the space, Bai Yan picked up her phone and discovered several missed calls.

It's her brother.

Just then, her phone rang again, and Bai Yan quickly answered it.

"What are you doing? Why aren't you answering my call?" A slightly serious male voice came from the other end of the phone.

The brother and sister had just had a fight, and Bai Yi loosened his tie, feeling irritable again.

My younger sister was very well-behaved when she was little, but I don't know if it was because I was too strict with her when she was young, but now she's gone through a rebellious phase and refuses to listen to anything I say.

"I just arrived at A University's apartment and didn't see your phone number," Bai Yan said.

Bai Yi'an felt that his sister did it on purpose because he had spoken ill of Zhou Yunan not long ago. But was what he said wrong?

Having navigated the business world for so many years, he could tell at a glance that Zhou Yunan had no good intentions.

"I'll say it again, Zhou Yunan is not right for you, you must break up with him immediately!"

He regretted it as soon as he said it. The two siblings had a big fight about this before. His usually well-behaved sister was bewitched by that man and wouldn't allow him to say anything bad about him.

But he just felt that he wasn't good enough. He was so many years older than her, and his judgment of people was much better than that of a young girl.

But he was also afraid that his sister would argue and ignore him, which would only push her further away: "If you really want to be with him, you have to make a three-point agreement with me, and you absolutely cannot—"

“Okay, I’ll break up with him,” Bai Yan said.

"What?" Bai Yi'an turned the phone around, wondering if he had misheard.

A few days ago was my sister's birthday dinner. Zhou Yunan couldn't attend because of a last-minute international conference. He made sarcastic remarks about Zhou Yunan, and the two even argued about it. So he agreed to break up?

"Didn't you say before that you loved him very much and that he was outstanding?"

Bai Yan asked, "Is he that outstanding?"

“I think he is not as good as my brother, and of course, he is not as good as me.”

"Especially since he made me argue with my family. He knew perfectly well that I argued with him because he was late for my birthday party, but he thought I was the one who was wrong and making a fuss. But the cause was that he was late, so no matter what the reason, it was his fault."

Zhou Yunan cleverly arranged for the original owner's senior sister to persuade her, constantly making her feel that since he was so outstanding and loved her, she should understand everything about him.

The original owner was already prone to being love-struck, and her social circle was too narrow. She also had conflicts with her brother, making her easily misled by the appearance of love and constantly giving in.

Thinking of her brother, who had been driven bankrupt by "herself" before the apocalypse, Bai Yan pressed her temples, a cold glint in her eyes.

Bai Yi'an quickly said, "That's right, he stood you up at your birthday party, it's obvious he didn't put you first!" We're all men, who doesn't know who else?

Doesn't he have a sense of priorities?

"Brother, this is why I broke up with him. Why did you ask me to break up with him?" Bai Yan asked, "I hope to hear an objective evaluation from you, otherwise he will think I'm being unreasonable when I give this reason for breaking up."

As they grew up, the two siblings rarely had such a peaceful conversation. Bai Yi'an thought for a moment and said, "Zhou Yunan's methods in the business world are not honorable. I don't like his business methods. That's one reason."

After hesitating for a moment, he continued, "A year ago, the Zhou family wanted to cooperate with the Bai family, but I refused. However, within a few days, he became your friend, and then your boyfriend. Xiao Yan, you might not know much about this… how should I put it?"
