"Okay, actually I came back from the dead to play for a few days."
Mingyue was talking nonsense with a straight face.
Anhe stopped raising her hand, her small eyes filled with great worry. "Little sister, were you in a car accident? Where did you get hurt?"
Why are you talking nonsense?
"I'm a little hungry. Let me finish eating first, then I'll explain..."
The bright moon smiled, its face full of sincerity.
Anhe was speechless and choked with emotion. He still asked someone to prepare a meal first. Anhe's mother didn't want to be in the same space as Mingyue, so she picked up her small bag and went out.
"Have you been staying with Xiaohe the whole time? Why hasn't Xiaohe come back?"
Before the food was served, Anhe asked, his words sincere and full of concern.
Over the years, he has had recurring nightmares, and he has gone from being terrified and desperate to being numb.
Moreover, every time he did it, he couldn't help but check Anhe's past life. He felt sorry for Anhe. Why should his daughter, who lived such a life, be ridiculed when she came back?
Whenever I think of this, I can't help but despise myself. I must have been bewitched to be so indifferent to my own daughter!
"She's busy training."
"Yes, yes, Xiaohe's figure skating videos have also been uploaded to China. She should train hard."
Anhe continued, "How is Xiaohe doing? Is he short of money? Take this card. Although it doesn't earn as much as you do at MNB, it's a token of my appreciation, so don't be stingy with it."
"OK."
Mingyue accepted the card, and Anhe felt relieved. "How many days have you been back?"
"Barring any unforeseen circumstances, it will take a week."
Anhe nodded. "I'll have someone prepare a room for you. You can stay here for the next few days. Let me know if you need anything."
"Thank you for your trouble, brother." Mingyue said with a light laugh.
Anhe didn't eat; he chatted for a while and then left for the company. Mingyue finished her meal alone and then took a bowl of fruit salad upstairs.
The room was very clean and simply laid out. Mingyue turned on her computer and typed rapidly.
[Host, what are you doing?]
Mingyue frowned slightly. "778, don't make a sound unless it's absolutely necessary."
778 clenched her handkerchief: Waaaaah, another day of being disliked! TVT
Mingyue typed the last piece of code, and a red dot appeared on the computer screen. Mingyue smiled slightly and ate the last bite of watermelon.
I randomly picked a car from the parking garage of the villa and drove off, stopping and starting along the way to fill the back seat with snacks I bought.
The car was parked in an old residential area in the suburbs. Mingyue opened a bag of potato chips, stepped inside, and knocked on the door with a flick of her finger.
A wary voice came from inside the door, "Who is it?"
"The person who will avenge you."
The man inside cautiously opened the door a crack, peeked at Mingyue, and then slammed the door shut again. "I don't have money for a date! Get lost!"
Mingyue smiled faintly, her fair hand resting on the doorknob. She pried open the door with her bare hands, staring at the man with wide eyes. "Thank you for letting me in."
The man's eyes widened in terror, his lips trembling, "Y-you-you—"
"uh-huh?"
"Are you trying to kill me?! You were sent by that bitch?!"
The man roared, grabbed a steel rod, and furiously swung it at Mingyue.
Mingyue shook her head, dodged to the side, kicked the steel rod out of the man's hand, turned around and kicked the man hard to the ground with another flying kick, "Can you talk properly now, Mr. An?"
An Chengmao nodded wildly in pain, lying on the ground with tears and snot streaming down his face. "Please don't kill me! I'll give you anything!"
