Turning his head and seeing Gu Zhou'an's icy expression, Han Yu felt a chill run down his spine, and was even more dumbfounded.
What did he do to make Gu Zhou'an want to kill him?!
"Han Yu, now that we're on the same boat, why are you pretending to be a good guy? Now you want to get off the ship early? Fine, I'll grant your wish."
Han Yu roared in disbelief, "You want to kill me over this stupid thing? There are only the two of us in this dorm. What good will it do you if I die?"
"Don't worry, no one will trace it back to me."
Gu Zhou'an was a skilled fighter, and he easily restrained Han Yu. He didn't give Han Yu a chance to speak and directly flipped him over, causing Han Yu to land in the opposite direction.
Bang--
Gu Zhou'an glanced at the corpse downstairs, then quickly climbed back over the wall. He dusted himself off, made sure nothing was missing, flushed the toilet, and walked out nonchalantly. "Thanks, I'll treat you to a meal next time."
"No problem, Brother Gu!"
"Hey Gu, wanna play some games together?"
Gu Zhou'an: "No, I'll head back now."
After exchanging a few more pleasantries, Gu Zhou'an returned to his dormitory. His cheerful expression instantly turned somber. He quickly rummaged through the cabinet and dumped some melon rinds and cardboard into the toilet, successfully clogging it before finally feeling relieved.
QQ—
There was a knock on the door. Gu Zhou'an put down his phone and opened the door. He saw the teacher, the principal, the dormitory supervisor, and a stern-looking policeman. "What happened?"
"A student just fell from a building. He was your roommate. Could you please give a statement to us?"
Gu Zhouan nodded, "Okay."
Gu Zhou'an followed the police into a room temporarily used for interrogation and answered questions actively. "When Han Yu saw Lu Weisheng off, I went to the dormitory next door to use the toilet because our dormitory toilet was broken."
"I understand, thank you for your cooperation."
Gu Zhou'an stood up and asked as he walked to the door, "May I ask how Han Yu is?"
"He was lucky. It had rained a couple of days ago, so the ground was soft. When he fell, a tree branch cushioned some of the impact, so he didn't die but fell into a coma."
Gu Zhou'an forced back his unpleasant expression and gritted his teeth as he squeezed out a few words, "Is that so? I'll go see him another day."
The police didn't say anything, waved for someone to take one person away and bring another in. After interrogating everyone, the police gathered together to discuss, "Actually, I still think Gu Zhou'an is suspicious."
"But he didn't have the time to commit the crime. Could it be that Han Yu was under too much pressure and committed suicide by jumping off the building?"
"Impossible. The normal posture for jumping to commit suicide is either face down with feet along the wall, or turned around. It is absolutely impossible for someone to face up with feet pointing outwards. It is obvious that someone pushed him out."
"But no one has gone into the dormitory. We've checked the surveillance footage and questioned everyone. And it's still a question whether Han Yu can survive his injuries."
The case reached a stalemate, and Mingyue politely knocked on the door. "May I come in?"
"Can."
Police officers came out to greet them, while others carefully placed the clues to prevent them from being leaked.
"Here's the thing, I have a security camera installed in my office. My office is very close to the boys' dormitory. You can take a look; maybe you'll find some new clues."
"Great! Thank you for the information!"
The policeman accepted it solemnly.
Mingyue smiled gently, her dark pupils shimmering with a soft light. "This is what I, as a citizen, should do."
