It's been a long time since I've had a wedding banquet with the main characters. I just wonder if this world has enough food reserves.
Mingyue pondered this serious question: the virus seemed to only affect humans, while plants and animals remained completely unaffected.
This virus seems to have appeared suddenly by the will of Heaven to eliminate some humans, but not wanting humanity to become extinct, it created the bracelet to counterbalance the virus.
Pei Ke blushed deeply at the teasing, "Sister, what are you saying? I'm still young. Right now, all I want to do is eliminate the zombies. I don't want anything else!"
How can she sleep peacefully if the zombies are not eliminated?
"It's only a matter of time."
She earned the banquet through her own abilities; she deserved it.
Unable to argue with Mingyue, Pei Ke let out a soft snort and ran away in a panic.
Old An smiled sincerely, "This young girl is still young and very shy."
"Yes, a little."
Mingyue nodded seriously.
The two didn't stop talking at all. Pei Ke's fleeing figure paused, and her pace immediately quickened. In a short while, Pei Ke disappeared from sight.
"We came in a hurry, so let's walk over. I'll show you the layout of our base."
Old Master An felt embarrassed to invite Mingyue to ride the electric scooter; it was simply unbecoming of Mingyue's status.
Mingyue smiled and said, "Then I'll have to trouble Elder An."
Song Jinyun subconsciously touched the bracelet on her wrist, her curled eyelashes drooping. She needed to figure out if Pei Ke's business card had the same function as hers.
Shengze, "What's wrong?"
Song Jinyun snapped out of her daze and shook her head indifferently, "It's nothing, let's go."
Song Jinyun took a step and left, not noticing the injured look on Sheng Ze's face behind her.
graduate School--
"Professor Yan, the experimental data is still incorrect. Could it be that we're going in the wrong direction?"
Old Yan wearily pinched the space between his eyebrows. He had been up for two consecutive nights, and his ears were ringing with a series of piercing sounds. It took him a long time to open his bloodshot eyes. "The direction is right. I'll go check on the test subject again."
"Mr. Yan, why don't you take a rest? There's no rush."
The assistant comforted him, saying that almost all the data had to be observed by Master Yan one-on-one, and any oversight could easily lead to errors.
Mr. Yan is almost at retirement age; how can he stay up so late? He's risking his health to fight against these data.
The institute's doors opened, and Elder An and Mingyue entered, both dressed in sterile gowns. Elder Yan frowned and asked irritably, "What are you doing here?"
Old An couldn't hide his joy. "Professor Yan, I've brought you a helper—Mingyue, the world's youngest recipient of the Bedor Prize in Biology!"
Old Yan squinted at the person beside Old An, and couldn't help but raise the corners of his lips, "Alright, alright, Mingyue, come and take a look at our data."
"Okay, Teacher Yan."
It's perfectly acceptable to address a teacher as "Master Yan," a term reflecting his profound knowledge.
Mingyue walked to Elder Yan's side and looked through the records she had made over the past few days. Elder An quietly left after bringing the person over, and no one else dared to make a sound to disturb Mingyue.
As they read on without Mingyue raising any questions, Old Yan asked anxiously, "Mingyue, is there anything wrong with this data?"
"There are indeed some anomalies. Could I see the samples you used for testing?"
Old Yan nodded, "Okay, I'll take you there."
Mingyue said, "No need, Teacher Yan. You should rest well. Your assistant can keep me company."
"How can I possibly rest? I won't be able to sleep peacefully until these zombies are dealt with."
Old Yan's words moved everyone present. As long as the zombies are not eliminated, they will remain a major threat to our hearts. They have chosen this job and must be responsible to the people.
