Chapter 236 Doomsday Crisis (14)

“Her? Why?” Pei Ke frowned at the mention of Song Jinyun. “Do you remember when my sister said she was reborn? I have a feeling that what my sister said was true.”

Although she was indeed shocked at the time and thought it was impossible.

Rebirth is such an unreal thing; she couldn't even imagine that someone around her would be a reincarnated person.

"I...I'm not sure." Huo Yuan licked his dry lips. "Isn't it true that rebirth always leaves a trace? It's too late, let's go back first."

"Uh-huh."

Pei Ke and Huo Yuan left the training room one after the other.

Sheng Ze emerged from the shadows, his face filled with undisguised shock. "Song Jinyun has been reborn?"

So what did he mean when she saved him?

Did she never love him?

A flash of madness crossed Sheng Ze's eyes. He wanted to find Song Jinyun and get to the bottom of things. Jinyun could only be his.

Under the hazy moonlight, Sheng Ze's figure moved quickly. Huo Yuan and Pei Ke exchanged a glance, wondering what Song Jinyun would do with such an explosively love-struck person by her side.

Huo Yuan said, "Let's go. I'm sure Song Jinyun won't just sit here and wait to die."

Pei Ke nodded. She thought she knew her best friend Song Jinyun very well, but she didn't expect to find out after the apocalypse that she didn't know her at all.

The next morning, Pei Ke and Huo Yuan got ready and waited at the starting point when they saw Song Jinyun walking towards them with a grim expression.

Sheng Ze's expression was no less grim than Song Jinyun's. Pei Ke and Huo Yuan exchanged a glance, indicating that they had confronted each other last night and the discussion had not gone well.

When Song Jinyun saw Pei Ke, she almost couldn't contain her anger. It must have been this bitch who passed the message to Sheng Ze. Damn it, she had to go through so much trouble to prove that she wasn't a reincarnated person.

"Today we're going to Da Shen Square in the city center. Although there are many zombies there, the supplies are also the most plentiful."

Huo Yuan stared intently. He had sharp eyebrows and bright eyes, and because of his military background, his features exuded a sense of righteousness. "No, what difference is there between our team going to the zombies in Da Shen Square and sending them to their deaths?"

"Alright then, let's go to the small square next door."

Song Jinyun said casually, and before Huo Yuan could refute her again, she jumped into the car, with the others following closely behind.

Huo Yuan whispered in Pei Ke's ear, "Be careful of Song Jinyun."

Pei Ke nodded and climbed into the car.

The group silently made their way to their destination. Some of the speed-type ability users skillfully began to scout ahead, while the others found cover and stood ready.

After a short while, the speed-generating ability user gave a hand signal, and they began to move forward.

Song Jinyun stared at Pei Ke's back, then turned her attention to Sheng Ze. He had to die.

There were quite a few zombies in the small square; there were more than twenty zombies wandering around on the first floor alone. And Huo Yuan's guess was correct; yesterday's zombie horde was a sign of zombie evolution.

These zombies have become more alert and perceptive. After dealing with one of them, Huo Yuan approached Pei Ke and asked, "Are you alright?"

"No problem, thanks to Master Huo's hard work teaching these past few days!"

Pei Ke hit almost every time, his movements swift and decisive.

Huo Yuanwan and Pei Ke worked together seamlessly, managing to eliminate almost half of the zombies.

After clearing the first floor, Song Jinyun assigned each person a search area, saying, "Shengze, come with me to the first area."

“Okay!” Sheng Ze nodded without hesitation.

The others had no objections and took the packaging bags to their assigned areas to find supplies.
