Shang Wan, amused, gave Jiang Shengyan a coquettish glance and said, "You're being indecent. You're a father now, don't you know how to take care of your health?"
Jiang Shengyan looked at Shang Wan with a happy expression, and considerately took off his coat and put it on the chair before letting Shang Wan sit down. "Okay, okay, I know. It's so cold in the hospital, why did you come out dressed so lightly?"
"It's not cold, it's good to have you here."
Shang Wan hugged Jiang Shengyan's arm with a smile, knowing that every moment together was precious and wishing time would slow down.
Sure enough, Jiang Shengyan's phone kept ringing after a while. He gave Shang Wan a helpless kiss on the forehead and said, "You rest well in the hospital. I have to go now. Don't worry, I will definitely marry you and give you a princess-like life."
"I believe in you, Ayan, I will wait for you!"
Shang Wan was moved to tears. Her clear eyes were as if they had been washed clean, and her black pupils, as black as grapes, reflected only Jiang Shengyan's figure.
Jiang Shengyan was deeply moved. What more could he ask for than such a wife and husband?
"I love you, I'm leaving now, Awan."
Despite his reluctance, he had to face reality. Jiang's situation did not allow him to stop. He quickly gave some instructions and left.
Shang Wan's lips were pale, and her body was so frail that the bodyguard looked constipated, fearing that Miss Shang might collapse at any moment.
In order to help Jiang Shengyan, Shang Wan decided to go on a hunger strike. She wanted to marry Jiang Shengyan so that the Shang family would help him. She wouldn't watch Jiang Shengyan's hard work go to waste.
The news of Shang Wan's hunger strike quickly reached the ears of the Shang family. Shang's mother was the first to come and persuade her, but her daughter lay on the bed, her face ashen, staring at the ceiling without saying a word.
Helpless, Mrs. Shang left the hospital with a sigh, instructing Shang Shaofu to take care of the situation.
As a doctor, Shang Shaofu personally administered glucose to Shang Wan, his hands in his pockets, feeling utterly disappointed in his younger sister. "Even if you go on a hunger strike, the Shang family will not agree to your marriage with Jiang Shengyan."
Shang Wan moved her neck, looking at Shang Shaofu expressionlessly. She hadn't eaten or drunk anything, and her lips were dry and cracked. "Why?"
"Because the merchants are in a bad situation, the Ming family has been targeting the Shang family and can't help the Jiang family at all."
My own company is in dire straits, barely able to survive, yet I'm worrying about others' companies!
madness!
Shang Wan didn't believe it. How could such a large company as the Shang family be no match for the Ming family?
Moreover, in the plot, Brother Shang Gan is actually the ultimate villain who almost acquired the Jiang family, but was defeated by Jiang Shengyan and Wen Qianyi working together.
Shang Wan silently pulled out the needle from the back of her hand, staring stubbornly at Shang Shaofu.
Enraged, Shang Shaofu's temples throbbed. He completely lost faith in his younger sister, and his face turned cold. "What an ingrate!"
It's one thing for a family member to not care about others, but for outsiders to care about them, and for them to be of one mind with outsiders. The business owner's efforts to cultivate Shang Wan have been completely wasted.
The whole family was busy dealing with the Ming family, but Shang Wan was still causing trouble everywhere and refusing to communicate, which chilled the hearts of the Shang family. They simply let her do whatever she wanted, as long as she didn't die.
It wasn't until the bodyguard said that Shang Wan had fainted and was taken to the emergency room that Shang's mother was sent over. Compared to when she fainted before, when the whole family was worried and gathered around the hospital bed, now only Shang's mother was there, which seemed particularly heartbreaking and pitiful.
After all, she had carried her daughter for ten months and spoiled her for over twenty years. Mrs. Shang couldn't be as heartless as others, but her attitude remained somewhat distant. "Awake?"
"Mother?"
Why are you the only one?
Shang Wan didn't ask the question. She thought that at least her brothers would come to comfort her after she fainted, and eventually compromise and help Ayan.
