Chapter 37 The Little Prince of the Sea (Part 11)

"hiss……"

Lan pinched Qi Qi's face and pulled him away. She touched her own ear and found her hand covered in blue blood. She almost instinctively strangled the person in her palm.

His face darkened, but seeing that Qi Qi had blood on the corner of his mouth and was looking at him fiercely, Lan smiled again, pinched Qi Qi's face, and suddenly leaned down to lick away the blood from the corner of his mouth.

"Don't be so fierce. If you behave, I won't hurt you."

Qi Qi was taken aback by his actions.

What is Lan doing? He's... being a scoundrel.

Qi Qi fell silent, his expression calming down.

In situations of uncertainty, it's wise to show weakness appropriately to ease one's predicament.

Lan had no idea what he was thinking. She had been prepared for Qi to cause a scene, but it seemed that the little prince had indeed made progress. His eyes were filled with increasing interest. His curiosity was no longer limited to bright eyes and a pretty face. Now, the little prince's interesting soul was even more worthy of his exploration.

Learning to walk overnight, it must have taken a lot of energy and willpower to walk from the hut to here. It's amazing that she knew she had poisoned herself, and that she was able to persevere and walk over from there.

Lan's eyes were deep: "The more I look at you, the more I want to understand you."

Qi Qi didn't turn her head; she just looked at him quietly.

"Good girl."

Lan half-embraced Qi Qi and led him out again. As they passed the group of dazed humans on the ground, Qi Qi couldn't help but turn his head to glance at them.

Behind the group of people, in the flower bushes, there were several small houses, exactly the same as the one they stayed in last night, except that it was dusty and obviously hadn't been cleaned.

Lan dripped a few drops of juice from a poisonous algae into Qi Qi's mouth. Qi Qi was completely powerless. As soon as Lan let go, he slid to the ground like a ball of water.

Lan's clothes were spread on the ground again. He went into the dusty house, threw out the bones inside, cleaned it up, and even brought a bucket of water to wipe it. When he carried Qi Qi back in, the house was still very dusty and dark, but it wasn't so dirty anymore.

Qi Qi was put on the bed as usual.

Lan neatly tied his limbs to the four corners of the bed: "It's okay, you just need to stay here for a few days."

She kissed his forehead again: "I'm busy, I'll bring you something to eat tonight. If you're bored, take a nap, everything will be over soon."

"You really need to behave this time. If I find out you're trying to run away again and I catch you..."

Lan went out.

Through the window, Qi Qi saw him singing a lullaby to the group of humans, and then walking towards the sea after he finished singing.

At this level, an ordinary human wouldn't wake up for at least a day, and he would definitely have to come back to sing again at night.

That wretched Lan.

Qi Qi was too embarrassed to call Tongtong again, because there was nothing Tongtong could do in this situation.

After lying there until the afternoon, feeling that he had regained some strength, he turned his head to try to bite the rope on his hand, but it was too far away, so he only tried to bite his left hand on the inside of the bed.

Aside from not being able to reach the rope with his head, Lan Xi had quite a bit of room to move around. Qi Qi raised his hand and rubbed the rope against the headboard, resting when his hand got tired before continuing.

I still have to run. Judging from Lan's attitude, it feels like he's going to do something really bad. Qi Qi doesn't like being locked up.

As dusk approached, a commotion came from outside. Qi Qi strained his neck to look in that direction, but in the hazy light, it wasn't Lan. It was the person he had mistaken for a prince, along with the beautiful woman and another bearded man.

The three men were looking down at something in front of the group of people. They were too far away for Qi Qi to see their expressions.

Qi Qi silently put his head back on the bed.

He lamented his bad luck.

However, it seems that everyone on the island now, except for the Mermaid King's mother, has some kind of grudge against him...

...

"This wasn't done by the Merman King."

"In the story, she hasn't been completely corrupted yet, so is she really not herself?"

The man with deep blue eyes and a blank expression asked, "What's the first rule for new recruits?"

Jason smiled helplessly: "Okay, okay, don't believe the plot. The plot is always changing."

The woman who withdrew her hand from the controlled NPC also said, "It wasn't her who did it. The elders and princes of the Merfolk were also able to go ashore."

“That’s true. Speaking of which, David and Charlie have already gone into the sea to look for the Mermaid King. Why are we still wandering around here? If the NPCs are dead, they’re dead. Let’s go to Louis’s place and wait for the mermaids.”

Sillo scoffed, "Then what are you doing here?"

Jason pursed his lips: "But we didn't see any merfolk."

"Completely worthless."

The low-level survival scenario wasn't difficult; all you had to do was kill monsters. If the sea weren't the territory of the merfolk, which made it much more difficult, he would have gone fishing by now.

The three of them didn't intend to interfere with the fate of these people. Apart from the protagonist, ordinary humans lacked the mental fortitude and luck to withstand a single attack from a merman, and a large group of people gathered together was of little use.

After observing these people, he naturally walked towards the wooden house. There were signs of activity outside the house, but no movement inside.

One person walked towards the door, while the other two went directly to the open window. The dusty wooden door was opened, revealing a simply furnished room that had been lightly cleaned. A soft, gradually quickening breathing sound could be heard.

What could it be?

The three of them looked on without changing their expressions.

I approached the bed.

The first thing that caught my eye was her fair and smooth limbs, her sea-blue hair cascading down from the edge of the bed, and her white dress, stained with dust, couldn't cover her skin.

...

And on the owner's closed eyes, which were trying to cover up the truth, the eyelashes trembled slightly.
