Chapter 47 The Little Prince of the Sea (Part Twenty-One)

Lan also fell silent.

Qi Qi noticed a hint of unease in Lan's eyes and immediately showered him with praise and assurances. After a heartfelt recollection of the past, Lan finally...

"...Then let's go ashore. Eating people is better than harming the sharks in our tribe."

Qi Qi: "Eat, eat people?"

Lan glanced at him with a hint of annoyance, her voice lower: "You think that Black Gem needs to consume a lot of blood to maintain its sanity, and, for some reason, human blood is more effective than fish and sea monster blood."

The system stated: "Humans are the most intelligent of all beings."

Qi Qi: [I think so too.]

Multitasking and chatting on two separate platforms at the same time was still too much for Qi Qi, so Lan noticed it immediately.

"what's on your mind?"

Qi Qi snapped out of his daze: "That's right, let's use humans to hold things up for now. Do we still need to learn human languages?"

Lan looked down at his hand: "Go, you must learn."

Qi Qi thought to himself: [Anyway, there are still many, many humans left; it should be enough time.]

System: [...Perfectly fits the villainous character, well done. However, you need to be a bit temperamental. I'll pretend I didn't see it this time, but next time you're playing a villainous cannon fodder, you're not allowed to act cute.]

Qi Qi was confused for a second: [I wasn't being coquettish, Tongtong. But is this what you call malicious? Of course, if someone has to die, it's best if it's not a merman.]

System: [From a human perspective, it counts.]

...

Qi Qi pulled the Mermaid King to the depths of the ocean and earnestly instructed him: "Mother, you must control your emotions and not lose your temper easily. If you can't control yourself, go up and eat two people. I'll go up and learn some human knowledge first, and find a solution for you."

The Mermaid Queen had calmed her breathing and, after speaking with her subordinates, her emotions had clearly stabilized considerably. The Black Gem, unaffected by the negative emotions, also remained as quiet as a chicken for a moment.

After calming her down, Qi Qi was immediately led ashore by Lan, because Lan wouldn't allow him to go by himself...

As they swam, Haiyan and Pearl suddenly appeared from the side. These two had just rebelled with Lan, and now they felt very guilty in front of Qi Qi: "Qi, we'll go with you to find humans!"

Qi Qi: "Haiyan and Pearl, you two better use your brains! Do you even have legs?"

Seagull Pearl: "...No."

Qi Qi waved his hand dismissively, saying, "Alright, alright, go back. This has nothing to do with you. Don't overthink it. We're all doing this for the good of the clan. We don't blame you."

As soon as Haiyan and Pearl left, Qi Qi's left hand fell into a larger hand.

Lan asked coldly, "And what about you? Are you blaming me?"

Qi Qi pulled his hand back and snorted, "One thing is one thing. I still remember how you bullied me. This is still your fault, Uncle Lan."

Lan looked at him in disbelief.

She was just acting pitifully and acting cute with him a moment ago, but now that she's been forgiven, she's immediately become unruly?

"Are you still going to blame me?"

"Huh? Can't I blame you? You're really mean. I ran out of the house that day and tripped in the rose garden. My hands hurt from the leaves, my feet were sore, and I was so hungry. And you still caught me."

Yes, poor little prince, covered in dust and dirt, thought he could escape the clutches of the bad guys after suffering all that. But he was unlucky and was discovered on the spot and caught immediately.

Tears welled up in her eyes, barely holding back, her eyelashes were damp, and her face and nose were sunburned red.

As Lan thought about this, a belated sense of guilt welled up in her heart, but soon after, another emotion followed.

That was his first and most immediate emotion after he tackled the Little Prince; the burning emotion made him feel uncomfortable all over.

The trace of blood on his lips that prompted him to kiss away, and the kiss that landed on his forehead when he almost lost control and walked away.

Perhaps his belated maturity has finally arrived.

The innocent merman had never dealt with this situation before, and his heart always raced at inopportune moments. He had almost forgotten what he was supposed to do today and the mental preparation he had put in for so long. His mouth spoke before his brain could process it:

"It's my fault, please forgive me."

As Qi Qi swam, his movements were exceptionally graceful and beautiful. His sea-blue hair seemed to come alive as it swirled around him, making him appear even whiter, as if his entire body was glowing.

He honestly replied with his true feelings: "I won't forgive you so easily. I'm really, really upset this time."

Therefore, you should hold a grudge for a few days and not forget it easily.

Lan's figure dropped two inches from his: "Then what do I have to do for you to forgive me?"

Qi Qi: "We'll see. Just saying a few nice words won't do; you'll have to treat me to dinner!"

"The fish from that day was so delicious."

When it came to delicious fish, Qi Qi's eyes lit up.

Lan found it amusing: "Aren't you afraid I'll poison you again?"

Qi Qi glared at him: "Then will you poison me again? You won't let me speak or move?"

That look pierced straight into Lan's heart. Perhaps it was because they were the only two around, or perhaps it was because the atmosphere had been relatively good since the peace talks, Lan whispered, "Then do you remember what I did?"

"I remember, you were a pervert! But I bit your ear and it broke, are you alright?"

Lan's heart surged with emotion: "You, then, do you hate..." Her voice grew softer and softer.

Qi Qi didn't understand: "What did you say?"

Lan: "Hey, do you hate me for being a rogue?"

Qi Qi: "I don't dislike it."

Lan's smile had barely faded when Qi Qi said again, "That's right, Uncle Lan, don't do that next time. It's not good to be a hooligan to someone other than your partner. In the past, you would have been caught and fed to sharks for doing that."
