Long Xiaofan chuckled lightly, the smile on his lips vanishing in an instant, so much so that even Qi Qi didn't notice.
The village was very small, and coffins had to be ordered from outside. At this point, it had been less than an hour since the first person discovered that Uncle Long's house had collapsed.
The five corpses were placed to the side, simply covered with wooden planks and blankets.
The two remaining brothers of the Long family were moving things out of the collapsed house.
The third aunt said that she asked Long Xiaofan to tidy up the house. As soon as he got close, the two uncles told Long Xiaofan to move his second uncle into the house temporarily, and wait for the village chief to call the coffin and funeral team to set up the mourning hall.
He ordered Long Xiaofan around in a very natural tone.
Judging from this, it seems they intend to put all the dead with Long Xiaofan. Qi Qi's face immediately turned cold.
Especially when he heard people around him say that Uncle Long San and Uncle Long Si's houses were closer to Uncle Long Er's and that their houses were bigger.
He's a bit slow, but not stupid.
Young Master Qi was about to start cursing again when Long Xiaofan pulled him behind him and said loudly, "No way! There's room for my little brother Qi Qi at home, and my second uncle and aunt can't fit everyone in."
Qi Qi swallowed back the anger that had been brewing: "?"
Uncle Long San and Uncle Si, along with their family, were already feeling uncomfortable because of the villagers watching them. He had already refused their help, as there were too many people around and they might steal things from his second brother's house.
Upon hearing Long Xiaofan, this fool, retort, he frowned, his tone turning hostile and filled with hostility:
"Xiao Fan, what do you mean by this? These are your second uncle, second aunt, brother, and sister. What's wrong with them staying at your house for a while? You refuse to help out with some chores? A fool is a fool. Look at yourself now. You didn't even shed a tear when your uncle and aunt died. Your brother and sister-in-law raised you for nothing. You're so ungrateful! You're a heartless wretch!"
Uncle Long said coldly, "You don't even listen to your elders. How can you let your deceased elder brother and sister-in-law rest in peace if you keep acting like this?"
The wives and children of the two families next to him also urged Long Xiaofan to move the body quickly without any politeness, their pockets stuffed with things, bulging.
These words were incredibly blunt, clearly showing no respect for Long Xiaofan, and said in front of so many people.
Long Xiaofan looked dazed and confused. Suddenly, he squatted down and covered his head, saying, "Second Uncle said that it's a good thing my eldest brother is dead, so the house and car are his. Second Uncle, Third Uncle, and Fourth Uncle all bullied me and took the money. Xiaofan doesn't like you. You are all bad people!"
The next second, a clap of thunder sounded in the sky, and Qi Qi subconsciously looked up, where raindrops landed on his forehead.
The whispers around him paused for a moment, then became even more excited. Qi Qi felt a little dizzy from the noise and suddenly wanted to complain to Tong Tong.
Why are these people making such a fuss? These things have nothing to do with them, right? I really don't like how things are right now.
The system suddenly appeared: [That's how it is with all living beings. You've only seen a few hundred people? They haven't done anything evil or good; they're just ordinary people.]
Qi Qi pondered: "Humans are really strange. They can be good or bad, and sometimes neither good nor bad. For example, right now I think humans are very noisy, and I think Long Xiaofan's family is very bad. Can you tell me if my thoughts are correct or wrong?"
System: [I can't give you the correct answer, I can only give you data analysis: They are indeed bad people, and if we were to rank them, they could be considered the lowest level of selfish bad people.]
The rain was getting heavier and heavier, and the people around were about to disperse. Qi Qi and Long Xiaofan squatted down on the ground together.
They exchanged a strange look, and Long Xiaofan, looking at his third and fourth uncles who were wearing raincoats, suddenly said, "Little brother, it's raining."
Qi Qi looked at him with a little annoyance: "Why did you stop me just now? I'm going to call a truckload of bread-gatherers to take back the money your uncle stole."
"No, it's a van full of people."
Are you very afraid of them?
Long Xiaofan answered irrelevantly: "Little brother, you're so kind. But what is a bread man?"
Humans may do some inexplicable things at inexplicable times, just like now, the two looked at each other for a second and then suddenly laughed for no reason.
Then Long Xiaofan crouched down a little and covered Qi Qi's ears. He looked at the sky and his tone suddenly became very surprised: "Wow, little brother, there are fireworks in the sky!"
Qi Qi looked up.
A bright sound rang out, resounding through the sky and illuminating everyone's faces.
"Damn! It's thundering again!"
The enormous bolt of lightning, a deep purple-black, fell from the sky and crashed directly onto the unfinished ruins of Uncle Long's house, turning the ruins and the people on them into charred remains.
Qi Qi and Long Xiaofan were just three meters away from the ruins when the lightning struck them, barely grazing their faces.
Qi Qi froze. He looked at the ruins, and just as his eyes were about to lock onto them, two large hands turned his head toward the fleeing crowd.
Long Xiaofan's voice was a little weak: "Little brother, don't look, you'll have nightmares tonight."
...
At noon, the village chief, who had just returned from outside the village, learned of the thunder that had struck and that the homes of Uncle Long San and Uncle Long Si were also destroyed. He was so shocked that he almost had a heart attack.
The villagers' discussions about this matter have even touched on ghosts and gods. They say they heard what Long Xiaofan said before the thunder, and that it was the spirit of the Long family in heaven that sent down lightning to strike down the evil Long families, the second, third, and fourth.
They also said that the Long family was truly righteous and ruthless, killing their own family for a stupid son they picked up from who-knows-where. Their ancestors for eighteen generations would be furious if they knew.
The village chief, a college student, angrily denounced the superstitions of the crowd: "The probability of being struck by lightning in the same place is inherently high. This is because the area that has been struck has become a lightning-attracting point due to its terrain and environmental factors, which increases the probability of being struck."
