Chapter 86 The Legendary Eunuch Qi (Part 8)

She does look really sleepy.

The Ninth Prince snorted coldly: "Then go to sleep."

Qi Qi asked, "Aren't you going to sleep?"

Ninth Prince: "I'm not sleeping."

I'd like to see if you can still sleep when I'm standing right here.

...

Seeing that the young eunuch's breathing had soon returned to normal, the Ninth Prince realized he had miscalculated.

He condescended to squat down again, looking constipated, and carefully observed the audacious little eunuch.

I poked his nose with my finger and then his cheek; he was indeed asleep.

How could he possibly sleep?

Thinking this, the Ninth Prince stopped bothering Qi Qi. Seeing that Qi Qi could sleep so soundly even while nestled on several cushions, the Ninth Prince thought for a moment and moved three cushions next to Qi Qi, then lay down like him.

It wasn't very comfortable; the bed in his own palace was much softer. But watching the little eunuch sleep, the Ninth Prince inexplicably felt a little sleepy. He closed his eyes and slowly drifted off to sleep.

As soon as the lunch break ended and the ancient bronze bell in the study rang, a ghostly figure came from downstairs to upstairs and arrived in an instant, intending to see what the Ninth Prince had been doing alone for so long.

Upon seeing the scene on the ground, the man's body trembled, and his long-standing cold expression instantly shattered.

The Ninth Prince... was actually sleeping on the floor with a little eunuch!

The Ninth Prince opened his eyes upon hearing the bell and naturally saw the man in black.

Before the eunuch had even woken up, the Ninth Prince rose from the ground, looked at the kneeling man in black before him, and said coldly, "I will only say this one last time: if you don't want me to come, then don't show your face in front of me."

The man in black bowed deeply: "Yes."

"Forget what you saw today."

The Ninth Prince, who had taken a rare afternoon nap, had less dark circles under his eyes. He had originally planned to ask the little eunuch some questions, but seeing that he was sleeping soundly, he left.

Downstairs, Chen Dianji watched as the Ninth Prince led his men past him as if no one else was there, his face filled with trepidation.

The Ninth Prince didn't even glance at him.

When Qi Qi woke up, the Ninth Prince was gone, and Chen Dianji, looking terrified, was staring at him.

"What's wrong, teacher?"

Chen Dianji said, "You and the Ninth Prince were up there just now...?"

Qi Qi rubbed his face to wake himself up: "We just chatted for a while."

Chen Dianji did not ask any further questions.

It's like the sun has risen in the west! I'm secretly delighted that I didn't get punished by the Ninth Prince for being lazy and sleeping in. Children all have their own secrets.

The sun wasn't as scorching as it was yesterday, and it still didn't rain. After writing large characters for half an hour, his hand ached. Just then, he heard a noise outside, so Qi Qi went back upstairs to rest.

There were already quite a few people outside, along with a whole bunch of ponies of various colors—red, white, black, and brown. A group of children of different heights and builds, dressed in neat riding outfits, short-sleeved shirts and long boots, were holding small, specially made bows. They looked energetic and were practicing archery, while several adults watched from the side.

Qi Qi stood on tiptoe, his little head perched on the windowsill, peering curiously. His position was perfect; he could move forward or backward at will, and someone with dull senses wouldn't easily notice him.

Qi Qi glanced around and noticed that one of the boys, dressed in red riding gear, was the most eye-catching. He wasn't the tallest among the group of children, but he had the most dashing posture. He was riding a small pony of the same color, drawing his bow and shooting an arrow. Although he couldn't see how well he shot, he could tell from the cheers around him that the boy must have done very well. Qi Qi watched for several minutes and found it quite interesting.

It wasn't until she noticed someone looking in her direction that she turned around and saw the Ninth Prince in a silver riding outfit behind the crowd. He wasn't riding a horse or shooting arrows; he was sitting on a stool with his arms crossed, looking in her direction.

The two were not exactly close, just close enough for Qi Qi to make eye contact. It was unclear how long they had been watching Qi Qi.

Qi Qi touched his nose, feeling inexplicably guilty. He waved to the Ninth Prince and smiled.

The Ninth Prince immediately turned his head away, not even glancing at Qi Qi. He stood up, took a few steps, and waved to the side. There were several people dressed in short blue and black clothes, who seemed to be the same people Qi Qi had seen yesterday.

Today, being so close, Qi Qi saw one of the boys with the straightest back. He watched as the boy, who was about the same size as Xiao Pingzi and Xiao Anzi, led a snow-white pony to the Ninth Prince, knelt down, and the Ninth Prince stepped onto his back to mount the horse.

Qi Qi couldn't see the person's expression, but suddenly wondered if such a straight back would hurt when it was stepped on.

The Ninth Prince rode the pony a few steps, and several servants immediately surrounded him. The teacher of the lecturing class also frequently looked in his direction.

Seemingly glancing at Qi Qi again, the Ninth Prince pulled on the reins, and the foal began to run on the training ground. He ran around the field twice, followed by a circle of flustered attendants.

Qi Qi couldn't help but laugh out loud, thinking to himself that he understood this ancient world a little better now.

Qi Qi, being a robot, never had pride before, and he still doesn't now. He just enjoys thinking more, putting himself in other humans' shoes to think about how they would think and act when faced with problems.

He went downstairs to continue practicing calligraphy, writing carefully and meticulously, because Chen Dianji said that the paper and pens Qi Qi used were not cheap, and that his godfather Defu had put a lot of thought into it.

Qi Qi wanted to learn as much as possible. He had watched time-travel dramas before, and the male and female protagonists usually used their intelligence to accomplish various great feats after time-traveling. Of course, Long Qi, being a poor student, didn't learn anything at school, and the learning memories that Qi Qi inherited were just so-so.
