Half an hour passed while he waited, and Qi Qi was getting sleepy. The summer night wasn't as hot as the daytime, and the breeze was quite comfortable. He eventually fell asleep while waiting.
As night fell, he was sleeping alone on the stone table. So, the men in black who came out of the house didn't notice him. Instead of going through the main entrance, they tiptoed out from the corner of the wall.
When Qi Qi woke up again, he checked the time and, good heavens, it was already 10 p.m.
There was no sound inside, but the candlelight was still on. Qi Qi rubbed his eyes and went inside, only to see Huangfu Yi sitting alone at the table. The air was filled with the aroma of peach blossom wine. Qi Qi sniffed it and said, "Peach blossom wine, are you drinking it all by yourself? Look what delicious food I brought you!"
Huangfu Yi blushed slightly and looked over with a deep gaze: "Lai Bao, come here."
Qi Qi walked over, put down the snacks, sat down next to him, picked up the wine pot, poured himself a small cup, and it still tasted sweet and fragrant.
Huangfu Yi watched him quietly. He seemed to have drunk a bit too much, as the smell of alcohol was very strong. His eyes were vacant, and he didn't know where he was looking or what he was thinking. His hands seemed to have their own will, and he pulled Qi Qi onto his lap.
Qi Qi waved his hand in front of him to show him the two small mosquito bites he had just gotten outside: "Are you still awake? It's all your fault. I was waiting for you to talk business, and look at all these mosquito bites I got."
Huangfu Yi regained his senses slightly: "Talking about business? You just saw it?"
Qi Qi shook his head: "No, I just heard some noise. I slept outside for a while and didn't see anyone."
Huangfu Yi pressed down and rested his head on Qi Qi's shoulder: "Do you know who he is?"
Qi Qi poured another small cup: "Who is it?"
Huangfu Yi: "Laibao, come with me. I'm really annoyed by this place. If it weren't for you, I would have left already."
Qi Qi thought about it for a moment. To be fair, someone like Huangfu Yi who works hard every day is truly a breath of fresh air in the court, but the boss doesn't really appreciate him and treats the other children and him differently.
He finds it annoying when it's him.
"Then you should take a rest and stop working for your father."
