"Okay, okay..." The nurse's face flushed slightly, and she lowered her head, not daring to look at Chi Ruoyi.
Watching the fine needle tip spill out a few drops of medicine and slowly pierce the skin on the back of her hand, the fear from last night invaded her entire body, and Shen Ye subconsciously withdrew her hand.
Actually, I'm not really scared, but seeing the needle reminds me of last night, and then I subconsciously want to pull my hand away.
The needle went astray, and a few drops of blood spilled out. Chi Ruoyi said, "Let's try again."
The nurse sighed, picked up the cotton ball again to disinfect and wipe away the blood from Chen Ye's wound, and looked for a new spot to insert the needle.
Shen Ye grabbed Chi Ruoyi's hand with his other hand. Chi Ruoyi subconsciously tried to pull his hand away, but then suddenly seemed to remember something and let Shen Ye hold on.
A slight stinging sensation returned to the back of my hand. The nurse quickly applied a bandage and then withdrew.
"Alright, get some sleep and don't think about anything." Chi Ruoyi looked at Shen Ye with clear eyes, gently pulled her hand out of Shen Ye's hand, and then pulled the blanket up a little higher.
Shen Ye nodded and closed his eyes.
The sound of the curtains being gently drawn was heard, followed by Chi Ruoyi's light footsteps and the sound of the door closing.
Is Chi Ruoyi leaving? What did the doctor talk about when he called him out? I have a feeling that Chi Ruoyi is hiding something about Shen Ye from him.
Forget it, I'll stop thinking about it and ask again later.
I don't know how long I slept, but when I woke up I found Chi Ruoyi sitting on the edge of the bed, looking down at a book. A few strands of hair were hanging down, which added to his mysterious aura.
Sunlight streamed through the window and fell on him, making him look like a god. Shen Ye unconsciously swallowed.
Hearing the noise, Chi Ruoyi raised his head, his thin lips parted slightly, and asked, "Are you thirsty? Are you hungry?"
A gentle voice pulled Shen Ye back to reality. "Hmm, I'm hungry."
"I'll have someone send it over."
He saw Shen Ye drooling over him, but he didn't say anything because he knew it would only make him more embarrassed, and he felt a little repulsed by it.
The food arrived just as Chi Ruoyi finished her phone call and came in. She grabbed her coat and was about to leave when Shen Ye asked, "Aren't you going to eat with us?"
Chi Ruoyi didn't reply to Shen Ye and left directly. The sudden change of expression caught Shen Ye off guard. He even suspected that Chi Ruoyi was a Sichuan opera face-changing performer.
For several days in a row, until he was discharged from the hospital, Shen Ye did not see Chi Ruoyi again, as if this person had never existed.
I took a taxi back to Chi Ruoyi's house, but Chi Ruoyi wasn't home. Everything was still the same as before, except that the fragments and bloodstains in the fish tank area had been cleaned up.
The first thing I did after being discharged from the hospital was to report to the film crew. I had finally gotten the male lead role, so I had to make the most of it and not waste this good opportunity.
A week has passed. Shen Ye spends her days on the film set and her nights at home but still hasn't seen Chi Ruoyi. She takes out her phone to call him, only to find that she doesn't have Chi Ruoyi's number at all.
That day, Shen Ye was lying on the sofa memorizing the script when Chi Ruoyi suddenly returned. He was taken aback when he saw Shen Ye, and then said, "It's too late, you can memorize it tomorrow."
He left those words behind and went straight back to his room.
Chi Ruoyi's expression was rather unpleasant. Although he hid it well, the observant Shen Ye still noticed it.
The wind howled all night, and Shen Ye didn't sleep a wink either, keeping watch in the living room, watching Chi Ruoyi's bedroom door, his ears perked up, listening for any sounds inside. (For the latest chapters, please visit Tangkexing Novel Network---Mobile Address: [link missing])
