People thought that the dust had settled and that it was an irreversible fact, but just then, a voice suddenly rang out in the corridor.
"Dean, the patient's heartbeat is back." It was the dean's assistant who spoke.
"What did you say?" the dean asked, turning around. He couldn't believe his ears. A person who had been confirmed dead suddenly had a heartbeat again. Wasn't that terrifying?
"Just now, as we were about to remove the diaper cover and push the patient out, the patient's heartbeat returned."
Without saying another word, the hospital director put his mask back on and followed his assistant inside. The lights above the operating room door came back on.
After several hours of emergency treatment, the operating room door opened again, this time bringing good news: Shen Ye would not die.
Soon, Shen Ye was wheeled out, his face pale and his eyes closed. If it weren't for the slight mist visible on his oxygen mask, AK and the others would have thought he was dead.
Shen Ye was wheeled into a VIP ward, a private room with a quiet environment where she would not be disturbed, which was very conducive to recuperation and rest.
"Shen Ye, wake up! How could you be so stupid? You almost lost your life for this lousy man like me." Chi Ruoyi's heart broke as she looked at Shen Ye lying on the hospital bed.
Not only was Chi Ruoyi heartbroken, but Ji Ying, who had been standing by her side the whole time, was also devastated. It turned out that her love was gone forever.
“If you wake up, I’ll allow you to eat as many crabs as you want, and I won’t complain at all if you want to walk sideways in my house.”
Chi Ruoyi looked at Shen Ye with such tenderness that Ji Ying was jealous.
Shen Ye lay quietly, his brain still recovering from prolonged oxygen deprivation. However, the doctor said he could wake up at any time, so someone had to stay in his room.
"Miss Ji, it's getting late, let me take you home." Xiao Yu smiled elegantly and directly dismissed her. She had disliked Ji Ying from the first moment she saw her, because her intuition told her that this woman was not simple.
Although she was reluctant to go back, Chi Ruoyi no longer cared about her and didn't need her anymore, so her staying here would only be a hindrance. "Okay, thank you, I'll drive myself."
Shen Ye had been in a coma for half a month, and every day there were hordes of reporters waiting outside the hospital. So AK and his team didn't come at all except to deliver daily necessities, for fear of being photographed by reporters.
"I heard you like mangosteens, but you can't eat them now. Once you wake up, you can eat as many as you want, until you never want to eat them again."
In a daze, Shen Ye heard such a sentence. He wanted to wake up, but his eyelids were too heavy, his hands were weak, and his whole body ached.
About a minute later, he tried to move his fingers, and the person in front of the bed noticed and quickly got up to call the doctor.
He desperately wanted to open his eyes and call out to him, but he just couldn't open them.
Soon, a series of chaotic footsteps approached, growing closer and closer until they stopped in front of the bed.
Only at this moment did Shen Ye overcome his difficulties and slowly open his eyes, only to meet several pairs of eyes. His mind was still not clear, and he just stared blankly at the group of people in white coats.
"She's awake, she's really awake." Chi Ruoyi's joyful voice was in her ear.
After a series of examinations were completed and the doctor confirmed that there was nothing seriously wrong, he led the group out.
"Why aren't you saying anything? Don't you want to see me?" Chi Ruoyi's smile vanished abruptly.
When his consciousness finally returned, Shen Ye saw his concern, his clear eyes, and his burning emotions.
