After having dinner, they watched a movie together with Jiang Lin'an before leisurely driving home.
They didn't sleep together in each other's arms; instead, they remained as they were, each sleeping separately.
The next afternoon, Shen Ye did not pick Jiang Lin'an up from school. Jiang Lin'an took a car home by himself. Just as he was about to open the door, he heard Wang Xiuhui say, "Your dad has been so angry with you that he was hospitalized. Aye, he can't take the blow. You should break up with Jiang Lin'an."
Wang Xiuhui and the others all knew that Shen Ye and Jiang Lin'an were together, and that was all thanks to Jiang Lin'an that morning.
Almost everyone has curiosity and is always interested in other people's secrets, especially those related to themselves.
Shen Ye remained silent for a long time before finally speaking, "Mom, I'm not a child anymore. I think things through before I do anything. Please stop interfering in my affairs, okay?"
If it weren't for the fact that she was the original owner's biological mother, Shen Ye wouldn't have spoken to her so calmly and patiently.
The soundproofing of the gate wasn't very good, but Jiang Lin'an still couldn't hear Wang Xiuhui's words very clearly. He could only vaguely hear her say something like, "I'm your mother, I have the right and the qualification to control you."

"No way." Shen Ye refused without even thinking.
"Are you trying to drive your father and me crazy? I've already made the biggest concessions. What's so good about men? That bastard Jiang Lin'an has no manners whatsoever. What do you see in him?" Wang Xiuhui roared angrily, disregarding her image as a wealthy lady.
After another long silence, Shen Ye finally gave in, "Can you give me some time? I'll break up with him."
Upon hearing this, Jiang Lin'an felt as if ants were gnawing at his heart, causing him immense pain!
After standing outside the door for an unknown amount of time, the door was opened from the inside. When Wang Xiuhui saw Jiang Lin'an at the door, she was startled for a moment, but only for a moment.
With a cold snort, he deliberately bumped into Jiang Lin'an as he passed by, almost causing Jiang Lin'an to lose his balance and fall to the ground.
"Lin'an?" When Shen Ye came out and saw Jiang Lin'an, he panicked for a moment. Had his words been overheard?
"Dad, I'm back." Jiang Lin'an forced a smile, pretending nothing was wrong. "I was just about to open the door when she came out. She didn't look well. Dad, did you upset her again?"
Jiang Lin'an always referred to Wang Xiuhui as "she" because he disliked her.
Hearing Jiang Lin'an ask this question, the anxiety that had been hanging over her finally subsided.

Once inside, Chen Ye took Jiang Lin'an's schoolbag and asked, "Are you hungry?"
"I'm hungry." It was still that harmless face and that warm, sunny smile. "I'll go cook, Dad. You can wait in the living room."
In no time, four dishes and a soup were ready, all of which were Shen Ye's favorites.
During the meal, Shen Ye seemed preoccupied and didn't speak to Jiang Lin'an. Jiang Lin'an could only tentatively ask, "Dad, did she say something to you? Why does she look so upset?"
He glanced absentmindedly at Jiang Lin'an, then lowered his head and continued eating. "Nothing's wrong. I just said my dad is in the hospital, and I'm a little worried."
Jiang Lin'an knew Shen Ye was lying, but didn't call him out on it. "Don't worry, everything will be alright."
