When he arrived at Huanxi's room, Huanxi was already asleep. Chenye took off his coat, climbed into bed, and lay down next to Huanxi.
The expected warmth didn't come, and Shen Ye felt very uncomfortable, tossing and turning and unable to fall asleep.
So she leaned closer, wrapped her arms around Huanxi's waist from behind, pressed her face against his back, and murmured, "Huanxi, don't do this. It makes me feel bad. Let's spend this time happily together, okay? Let's leave each other with beautiful memories, okay?"
Upon hearing this, Huanxi whirled around, flipped him over, and pinned him beneath her, roaring, "Memories? What do you want them for? Didn't you say you didn't want me? Then what do you want these beautiful memories for?"
The pain brought tears to his eyes. The intense pain seemed to bring him back to his senses, and he felt that the joy in his heart was more painful than the physical pain.
She couldn't help but feel sorry for him, so she reached out and put her arm around his shoulder, sobbing as she whispered in his ear, "Huanxi, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry... I'm so sorry..."
Each soft, apologetic murmur slowly dispelled the joyful anger. He gradually softened, his warm, moist lips gently kissing Shen Ye's neck, his fingers tenderly stroking Shen Ye's cheek, his voice pleading, "Please stay for me, Master, I beg you, please stay for me, okay?"
"I..." Shen Ye was speechless. At this moment, he really wanted to agree, but the thought of being resurrected as soon as possible and going home to take care of his parents came to mind, which made him have to harden his heart.
Huanxi waited for a long time but didn't get a reply. Disheartened, she vented her anger.
Huanxi tormented Shenye in various ways all night long. Shenye cried and begged for mercy, but when he finally ran out of strength to cry and scream, he could only moan weakly. Huanxi did not let him go.
As dawn approached, Shen Ye finally collapsed from exhaustion and fainted, at which point Huan Xi finally let him go.
When Shenye woke up the next afternoon, he couldn't speak and his body ached terribly. He turned his head and looked around, but Huanxi wasn't there.
She struggled to sit up to take a shower and clean herself. Just as she got up, Huanxi pushed the door open and came in.
Shen Ye subconsciously shrank his neck and pulled the blanket tighter; he was suddenly filled with both fear and joy.
Huanxi glanced at him without saying anything, took her things, and went out again.
Seeing that Huanxi wasn't talking to him, Shen Ye felt inexplicably flustered.
After enduring the excruciating pain and quickly washing myself, I came out and found Huanxi reading a book I couldn't identify.
Shen Ye really wanted to talk to Huan Xi, but he was afraid that Huan Xi might do something crazy again while he was still angry, so he didn't dare to provoke him and could only sit quietly to the side and watch.
Huanxi ignored him but didn't chase him away either. The two remained silent and at an impasse, neither of them breaking the silence first.
After dinner, it was soon time for bed. The two lay on the same bed, so quiet you could hear a pin drop.
Huanxi used to love sleeping with Shenye the most. Every time, not to mention at night, she couldn't wait to bring Shenye to bed, even during the day. Even when they had a fight, she never ignored him. This sudden coldness towards him was a bit hard for him to bear.
The more Shen Ye thought about it, the more upset he became. He couldn't help but move closer to Huanxi and whisper, "Huanxi, hug me..."
Huanxi didn't even glance at him, nor did she reach out to hug him. She simply whispered, "Go to sleep."
