Chapter 448 I have a longing I dare not express (18)

Shen Ye went berserk, smashing everything in the room, even cutting up the costumes Bai Chuheng had given to the original owner.

Lying in bed, clutching the blanket tightly, he was determined to stop it no matter what method he used, even the most annoying one.

His only reason for stopping Bai Chuheng's marriage was to complete a mission.

It started raining heavily outside sometime during the day, and the raindrops pounded against the glass as if celebrating tomorrow's wedding.

He closed his eyes and slept soundly, ignoring everything. Although he knew what he would experience when dawn broke, the thought of Bai Chuheng marrying Yeji and the increased difficulty of his mission made him fearless.

Bai Chuheng's unpredictable face kept appearing in Shen Ye's mind, making her want to tear the man to pieces.

Meanwhile, in another room, a man stood by the window, looking at the heavy rain outside.

He turned around, and the place was finally empty, despite the several black and white photographs on the table.

Bai Chuheng walked over, took one of the cards and held it in his hand. He thought of the look in the man's eyes earlier. He must hate him to the core. It seemed he would never forgive him again.

However, in order to support his ambition, Bai Chuheng had no choice but to do so.

He knew it was very unfair to him, but he wanted to give him a bright future and everything he wanted.

But in the end, it was he who got hurt.

That's good, at least Liu Junyao won't focus her attention on him anymore, and outsiders won't say he seduced her anymore, right?

He closed his eyes, and I don't know what he was dreaming about, but the corners of his lips actually turned up. Come to think of it, it had been a long time since he had smiled.

Bai Chuheng, who always gets up very early, has not appeared today. His adjutant paces back and forth outside the door, unsure whether to wake him up.

As if hearing hurried footsteps outside the door, Bai Chuheng slowly opened his eyes, the smile on his lips long gone. He got up, opened the door, and let the maid in to help him change into the clothes he was to wear today.

Everything was ready, and just as Bai Chuheng was about to pick up Liu Junyao, Shen Ye had an accident.

Uncle Wu said that when he delivered breakfast to Shen Ye, he saw blood flowing out of the bathroom. In the bathroom, Shen Ye had cut his wrists and was soaking in the bathtub, letting the blood flow out.

Bai Chuheng did care about this adopted son, and even though he knew this was a tactic to threaten him, he still compromised upon hearing this.

He sat outside the hospital operating room, head down, seemingly lost in thought, probably trying to figure out how to explain things to Commander Liu.

When Shen Ye woke up, she saw Bai Chuheng sitting to the side peeling an apple. She only slightly raised the corners of her lips. It seemed that her self-inflicted injury had not been in vain.

"Jinxiu, I don't want you to do anything like suicide again. I understand your feelings," Bai Chuheng said without looking up, his eyes fixed on the apple in his hand.

"So what? You're still going to marry that pheasant?"

"yes!"

"Even if I die, I can't stop it, right?" Shen Ye asked again.

Bai Chuheng didn't say anything, feeling extremely uncomfortable, as if he had been stepped on by a thousand feet, it hurt!

"So I'm not important, I can just throw me away, right?"

Bai Chuheng remained silent. His finger was cut by the knife, and soon, blood stained the almost-peeled apple.

"Do you like me?" Shen Ye asked, unwilling to give up.

"I like it," Bai Chuheng replied, head bowed.

Having received the answer he wanted, Shen Ye scoffed, dismissing it with disdain.

How much can someone who's willing to make me sad really like me?
