A little embarrassed, Shen Ye took out his phone from his trouser pocket and said, "Can I pay by phone?"
"Um..." The boy hesitated for two seconds, "We can pay with WeChat."
However, the boy did not scan the QR code with WeChat; the payment was only successful after the two added each other as friends.
When Shen Ye got out of the car, he finally noticed the car parked not far away.
Shen Ye knew that car all too well; it was Yan Bai's car, and anyone could drive it normally.
That's why Shen Ye memorized the car's appearance and license plate number so well.
Shen Ye mustered her courage and walked home, trying her best not to look at Yan Bai.
But I still couldn't resist taking a peek.
Inside the car, Yan Bai had a somber face, and his azure eyes were terrifyingly dark. He stared intently at Shen Ye, his gaze seemingly murderous.
"Yan Yi!"
When I got home and changed my shoes, I heard a deep voice behind me.
Shen Ye turned around and saw Yan Bai standing behind him, his handsome face devoid of any warmth.
"Why are you only arriving now?" Shen Ye asked calmly. "Shouldn't you have been here much longer?"
"Who was that man just now?" Yan Bai asked expressionlessly, his sky-blue eyes fixed on Shen Ye, whose muscular physique was alluringly visible.
"Taxi driver!" Shen Ye replied calmly, then went back to his room to get his clothes and take a shower.
However, before she could take a step, Yan Bai grabbed her wrist tightly.
"Yan Bai, what are you doing?"
Yan Bai just stared fiercely at Shen Ye without saying anything more, but that look alone was enough to terrify Shen Ye.
"He really is a taxi driver. I don't know him. And at lunchtime today in the cafeteria, I didn't say anything at all, okay? Besides, we're just friends. Even if I'm being ambiguous with someone, it's none of your business, right?"
Yan Bai's eyes darkened, his face as gloomy as the dark clouds on the horizon.
"Alright, I'm going to take a shower after getting caught in the rain, otherwise I'll feel awful." Shen Ye struggled to shake off Yan Bai's hand, but was pulled into his arms instead.
Suddenly, Shen Ye couldn't help but sneeze. Even though Yan Bai was holding him, he still felt incredibly cold.
Shen Ye trembled in his arms, while Yan Bai pursed his lips and remained silent, his eyes filled with coldness.
"I really need to take a hot bath, or I'll catch a cold."
"Yan Bai, you don't love me at all, so why do you care about me? Many times I've wanted to change our relationship, but I don't know what kind of relationship to use. Lovers? You don't like me at all. Ordinary friends? But there are no ordinary friends like us."
No matter what you become, I will always love you. Believe it or not, this is my honest opinion, and it's what I've wanted to tell you for a long time.
Yan Bai's eyes darkened further, and he remained silent, slowly loosening his grip.
Shen Ye took some clothes, filled a hot bath, and took a bath. Perhaps it was too comfortable, because she fell asleep in the bathtub without realizing it.
In a daze, he felt a pair of warm hands lift him up and gently place him on the bed, covering him with a blanket. A very soft kiss was placed on his forehead, followed by the sound of the bedroom door closing.
At 2 a.m., Shen Ye developed a fever of 39.7 degrees Celsius. He felt like he was on fire, and his whole body was burning up.
He tried to open his eyes, wanting to find some fever-reducing medicine, but his eyelids felt like they weighed a ton and he couldn't open them no matter what. In the end, he could only whisper Yan Bai's name.
