Chapter 41 The Poor Autistic Little Cat Demon 2

"Meow meow meow"

Ignoring her meows, Ji Sui carried her to bed, then went up to her and cuddled her to sleep.

Shen Muqing's nose was filled with the sweet fragrance of a fresh bath, the scent of freesia, very strong and fragrant, and even her cat fur had picked up some of his scent.

With Ji Sui's soft breathing, she drifted off to sleep, no wonder, the bed was just too comfortable.

Downstairs, Ji Ming returned, but Su Xia gave him a cold look. Ji Ming didn't want his marriage with Su Xia to end, after all, they had been together for more than 20 years.

He put aside the frustrations of work and patiently communicated with Su Xia.

"Honey, what's wrong? Are you in a bad mood?"

Su Xia subtly increased the distance between them, coldly mocking him:

"A busy person like you knows how to go home? I thought you were sleeping at some vixen's house again."

Touching a nerve, Ji Ming's face darkened: "Su Xia, do you have to be so aggressive?"

"I'm being aggressive? Do you know that our son almost went missing today? Where were you when I was searching for him in the rain?"

"He's probably flirting with some young lover."

Su Xia hysterically poured out her grievances, saying she had had enough of this kind of life.

"What? Your son is missing? Has he been found?" Ji Ming feigned concern for Ji Sui, after all, he was his only child and the one who would inherit the Ji family business in the future.

Looking at Ji Ming's hypocritical demeanor, Su Xia felt utterly desolate. "Ha!"

Su Xia didn't answer him, only gave a cold laugh.

"Xiaxia, why have we become like this? You used to be so cheerful and generous, you wouldn't be so petty."

Ji Ming continued to shamelessly accuse Su Xia, but the years had left their mark on his face, making him more composed and reliable.

In contrast, Su Xia has hardly gone out in the past ten years, spending most of her time around her son. She has no time to take care of herself, and her only hobby is growing flowers.

At this moment, she seemed somewhat unworthy of Ji Ming.

"Being petty and calculating? Ji Ming, do you even remember how you made your first investment?"

After more than a decade of entrepreneurship, the Ji family has grown from a small workshop with a dozen or so people into a large company with thousands of employees. While not a top-tier wealthy family in H City, they are still among the most prominent.

Ji Ming tried hard to recall the details of the past, but after the passage of time, he had forgotten some of them, only vaguely remembering that it was Su Xia who secured the investment.

"Xiaxia, you're tired, go and rest."

Ji Ming took off his glasses and rubbed his head considerately, telling Su Xia to go and rest. Su Xia didn't want to stay in the same place as him; she was exhausted.

As Ji Ming passed by Ji Sui's room, he pushed the door open and went in to check on his son.

He was very proud of his son when he was young. Ji Sui had shown extremely high intelligence since childhood, and was always the top student in his grade.

As he gets older, his temperament becomes increasingly unpredictable, and he hasn't even heard his father call him "Dad" in nearly ten years.

Looking at Ji Sui's sleeping face, he felt a complex mix of emotions, a feeling he couldn't quite describe.

Seeing his son lying unharmed in bed, he couldn't help but scold Su Xia for making a fuss over nothing. Wasn't his son sleeping peacefully in bed?

Shen Muqing struggled to escape from Ji Sui's grasp; she was simply too hungry.

Hunger woke her from her sleep. Her round cat eyes looked at Ji Sui, who was still asleep, and she used her paws to hook onto the sheets and slowly landed on the ground.

Ji Ming didn't close the door properly when he left, and Shen Muqing went out unimpeded, going down the stairs.

She almost lost her footing and tumbled several times, but luckily she survived.

Her body was so small that everything looked enormous to her, and she carefully moved among the various pieces of furniture.

There was a faint light coming from the restaurant. Shen Muqing went over and saw Su Xia leaning against the bar, drinking alone.

She ran over and rubbed her little legs with her paw pads, meowing, "Mommy's hungry!"

Su Xia noticed something small rubbing against her calf, accompanied by a faint chirping sound. She bent down and picked up Shen Muqing.

"Are you the kitten that Zaizai brought back? You're quite cute."

"Meow"

Shen Muqing didn't know how to tell her that she was starving, so she stuck out her tongue, licked her fur, and let out a pitiful meow.

"What's wrong, little cat? Are you hungry?"

Su Xia spoke gently, her hand stroking the fur of her body, touching her belly, which was indeed flat.

"Wait a minute, I'll make you some milk powder."

Su Xia had previously raised a kitten, but she gave it away because Ji Sui didn't like it, and she also had some cat-related items.

The cat was brought back by Ji Sui, and she still finds it hard to believe, since her son doesn't like cats.

Once the formula was prepared, Shen Muqing eagerly sucked on it from her hand, gulping it down.

The little guy's anxious look amused Su Xia, and her eyes overflowed with maternal love. "Slow down, little guy, don't choke."

Ji Sui, who had just woken up, reached out but couldn't touch his kitten. He suddenly jumped up from the bed. Where was his kitten?

He searched the room thoroughly, even turning over the trash cans, but there was no sign of the kitten. His gaze fell on the half-open door.

He always closes his bedroom door before going to sleep, and only one person would open it without his permission.

Thinking of this, a layer of disgust appeared in Ji Sui's clean eyes.

Ji Sui ran downstairs without even putting on her shoes, looking very anxious but not making a sound.

After finishing her milk, Shen Muqing saw Ji Sui coming down and sweetly called out to him, "Meow, brother!"

She abandoned Su Xia and ran towards Ji Sui from the bar, but she forgot that there was a marble floor a meter below the bar. Fortunately, Ji Sui caught her in time.

It was accompanied by Ji Sui's tense voice, "Little cat."

Su Xia couldn't hide her excitement as she listened to Ji Sui's voice. Ten years had passed, and she was finally hearing her little one speak again, even if it was just out of concern for a cat.

"Baby!" She looked at him hopefully, hoping he would say more.

But Ji Sui didn't say anything more, she just hugged Shen Muqing tightly and wanted to go back to her room.

"Sweetie, Mommy has some cat care supplies here. Your kitten will need them."

This sentence successfully kept Ji Sui in line, and he blinked his innocent eyes, signaling Su Xia to continue.

Su Xia gave him a series of tips on raising cats, and specifically explained that kittens need to be fed or they will starve to death.

The word "death" appeared again. Ji Sui's eyes narrowed. So the kitten needed to eat. He wouldn't let his kitten starve to death.

"Did you understand, little one?"

Ji Sui didn't make a move, but Su Xia knew he had taken it to heart. As a blessing in disguise, Su Xia attributed all these changes to Shen Muqing.

"Little one, go back to your room and sleep. Be careful not to roll over on your kitten, or it will die."

Ji Sui returned to his room thoughtfully, unsure if he had understood.

Su Xia quickly placed an order for cat supplies, including food, drinks, and clothes.

In the room, Ji Sui very carefully placed Shen Muqing on another pillow, so that each of them slept on their own pillow, but his hand was still caressing Shen Muqing's body.

With this arrangement in mind, Ji Sui fell asleep contentedly, sleeping with the kitten.
