Chapter 283 This Assassin is a Bit Crazy 3

Pan Yang realized he seemed to have nowhere to go. The original owner had saved up quite a bit of money, so it shouldn't be awkward for him to go to the Dark Night Pavilion to get more money, right? Hmm, the big boss wouldn't be trapped by mere money!

Then Pan Yang arrived at the Regent's Palace, but he didn't see Pei Zhouyang. After all, it was still early, and he guessed that the morning court had just ended. Pan Yang then casually moved a chair over, as if he were the master of the courtyard, and lay down on the chair in a very relaxed manner.

When An discovered Pan Yang, he was shocked. How had this person entered so quietly, and why did he dare to be there so openly? Then he was about to take action.

Just as he was about to stab Pan Yang, a voice interrupted his action.

"Stop." Pei Zhouyang appeared in the courtyard, secretly stopping his movements and standing to the side, watching Pan Yang warily.

Meanwhile, Pan Yang lay leisurely in his chair, seemingly unaware of the secret actions that had just taken. He sat up straight and looked at Pei Zhouyang: "You're back. Are you planning a rebellion?"

"..." Pei Zhouyang was somewhat conflicted. This person's first question was whether he wanted to rebel. The problem was, why would he want to rebel for no reason? He took a deep breath: "I don't want to rebel. What do you want to do? Last night..."

"Oh!" Pan Yang blinked, his face expressionless. "You said you wanted it last night, so it's not a loss for each of us to do it once. I don't want to do anything."

He paused, then continued, "Except for you."

Pan Yang spoke so bluntly and as if it were perfectly reasonable that An didn't understand at first. But then, thinking of the mess he had seen that morning, a blush instantly crept onto his ears.

Pei Zhouyang remained calm, propping his head up as he looked at Fan Yang, narrowing his eyes to conceal his emotions: "You say you want to do this to me? Fine, but you'll have to pay the price. Your identity, age, real name, and what exactly you want to do—you have to be honest with me."

Pan Yang nodded. Indeed, none of this mattered. "I am twenty years old, male, and a second-class assassin of the Dark Night Pavilion. However, after I knocked out the elder just now, I found it troublesome and betrayed the Dark Night Pavilion. My real name is Ji Pan Yang. As for now, I like you, so I am prepared to protect you. I can help you do whatever you want, provided that you are mine."

Pei Zhouyang listened to his words as if trying to discern their truthfulness. After a moment of silence, he spoke, "Why should I believe you?"

"You're trying to deny it!" Pan Yang stood up from the rocking chair. He had told everyone he was supposed to be honest with, but this person was actually saying this. What else could it be but trying to deny it!

"I always keep my word." Pei Zhouyang frowned, looked at An and waved his hand. An closed the courtyard door and then disappeared into the shadows.

“But…” Pei Zhouyang pushed the wheelchair to Fan Yang’s side, then pulled Fan Yang’s wrist and sat him on Pei Zhouyang’s lap. Pei Zhouyang then lifted a strand of his hair: “But you have no proof. How can I know you’re not lying to me?”

Looking at Pei Zhouyang who was so close, Pan Yang blinked and gave him a quick kiss. He wasn't about to pass up a good deal, so he said with a serious expression, "If I'm lying to you, I curse the person I like to be single forever."

"Who do you like?" Pei Zhouyang blurted out almost reflexively.

“You,” Pan Yang said without even thinking.

Pei Zhouyang gasped. He truly couldn't describe Huan Yang. After a few seconds of speechless silence, he said, "I'm serious. I won't keep a threat by my side." As he spoke, he reached out and placed a hand on the back of Huan Yang's neck, his fingertips rubbing against the skin.

Pan Yang simply took out the original owner's waist token and waved it in front of Pei Zhouyang. Fortunately, he hadn't lost it: "The waist token of Dark Night Pavilion, I'm not lying to you."

Pei Zhouyang reached out and took the waist token. Its exquisite craftsmanship suggested it wasn't fake. His eyes darkened slightly. "Let me guess, was your previous mission to assassinate me?"

Fan Yang's face was tense, but he could actually make excuses! This was a task the original owner had accepted, not him! He wouldn't take the blame for the original owner's actions.

Pei Zhouyang naturally understood the silence of Pan Yang and slowly said, "But why did you suddenly change your mind, and even... with your strength, you have enough time to kill me."

"I didn't intend to kill you." Pan Yang's tone was very calm, yet inexplicably convincing: "I didn't know you were the Regent, and I didn't accept the mission. I like you, and you are mine too, and don't you like me too?"

"I like you?" A hint of doubt flashed in Pei Zhouyang's eyes. How did this person come to this conclusion?

Pan Yang pointed to his wrist, where the bracelet Pan Yang had given him was clearly visible; he didn't take it off.

Okay, now he's completely speechless. He just felt something was off. Even though he said what he did, being with a stranger, and being the only one there early in the morning with a bracelet on his hand... he just felt something was wrong...

Okay, he gave up struggling. Ever since he met this person last night, he felt inexplicably familiar and wanted to get close to him. But because of the drugs, he sighed. He was really doomed.

"I trust you, so you have nowhere to stay and have no choice but to come to me?" As far as he knew, he had already betrayed the Dark Night Pavilion, so naturally he had nowhere to stay.

Pan Yang blinked. You can't say that. As a big shot, would he not have a place to stay? Impossible!

"No, I'm here to protect you. You have the highest bounty in the Dark Night Pavilion, and new assassins will be coming to kill you soon."

"How much is the bounty on my head?"

"Seven hundred thousand taels of silver." Pan Yang thought for a few seconds; it seemed that the little assassin had mentioned that amount.

Pei Zhouyang's expression changed. Was he, as the Regent, only worth 700,000? He remained silent for a long time before finally looking into Fan Yang's eyes and saying, "With your abilities, who in the Dark Night Pavilion can defeat you?"

"None of them are my match." Pan Yang said confidently. Although there was no smugness or arrogance on his face, there was an inexplicable feeling that this person was too arrogant and had a fearless attitude.

Pei Zhouyang was about to push the wheelchair when Pan Yang noticed and quickly got off him, then went behind him to help push the wheelchair.

"Go inside."

Pan Yang obediently pushed him into the room and closed the door. Then he saw Pei Zhouyang stand up from the wheelchair. The two were about the same height, but upon closer inspection, it seemed that Pei Zhouyang was slightly taller.

"I will ask you one last question."

"Go ahead and ask."

"Do you truly want to help me? Are you truly in love with me?" Pei Zhouyang's eyes fell on him, the corners of his mouth turned up as if in a smile: "Or is everything last night, including now, a lie you've told me?"
