Chapter 47 Sweeping Away Organized Crime 7

However, the police did not make things difficult for Pan Yang and Zhou Yang, since they were the victims.

The woman was eventually locked up and sentenced a few days later, while the two of them went straight back to the Bai family.

At night, a dark cloud covered the moon, and not a single ray of moonlight could be seen.

The leader of the Qingyun Gang, annoyed by the commotion outside, scolded, "What are you all doing!"

"Boss! Something bad has happened! Bai Panyang, the young master of the Bai family, is here!" A man rushed over, panting.

The leader of the Qingyun Gang looked disdainful and snorted, "Him? Who did he come with?"

"He was all alone."

"You're so afraid of me being alone?" The leader of the Qingyun Gang rolled his eyes and slapped him. "You spineless coward, kick Bai Panyang out!"

No sooner had he finished speaking than the door was kicked open.

Pan Yang stood at the doorway, his demeanor somber, a silver sword in his hand. His face was expressionless, and a few drops of blood stained his body. The silver sword gleamed with an eerie light.

"Young Master Bai, you have quite the nerve!" The leader of the Qingyun Gang saw this and pulled out a gun, pointing it at Pan Yang: "You may have come here alive, but who knows if you'll leave alive!"

"Bang!"

The next second his expression froze on his face as he fell straight forward, lifeless. Pan Yang shook the blood off his sword: "Don't suck just anyone's blood, it's dirty."

The white sword protested somewhat, shaking its blade, but the pressure from Pan Yang was too great, so it could only silently wriggle like a quail.

As the night passed, television news reported that a house had caught fire, and police investigation revealed that it was a gang's hideout that had been wiped out without any survivors.

The fire burned for three days and three nights before it was finally extinguished.

Zhou Yang suspected that it might have been done by Pan Yang, but he didn't ask any more questions and kept silent about Pan Yang's sudden departure that night.

Just when she thought she could have a few days of peace and quiet, she received a text message on her phone from Xu Li.

The content was simple. In short, he was no longer planning to deal with Pan Yang. He believed that his cooperation with Pan Yang would definitely lead to something big. Then, they arranged to meet at a certain place.

A group of people gathered in an abandoned building.

Pan Yang sat in the chair and looked at Xu Li. He didn't understand why there were so many abandoned buildings and structures in City A. Did they just build abandoned buildings every day?

"Young Master Bai, what are your thoughts? Do you wish to cooperate?" Xu Li asked with a smile.

“I am a law-abiding citizen,” Pan Yang said without hesitation. “Aren’t you afraid of getting arrested by the police?”

"Police?" Xu Li found it somewhat amusing, toying with the dagger in his hand, a strange emotion flashing in his eyes: "Young Master Bai is still as humorous as ever. Do you think the police can catch me?"

“But someone has almost been arrested more than thirty times in the past few months,” Pan Yang said calmly, but Xu Li found it somewhat sarcastic.

“If someone hadn’t tipped me off, I wouldn’t have been discovered. Let’s cooperate and monopolize the entire arms trade, how about it?” A fierce glint appeared on Xu Li’s face before disappearing, and he excitedly spoke to Pan Yang.

"Guess who tipped you off?" Pan Yang casually fiddled with his phone.

"How would I know?" Xu Li blurted out, then paused and looked at Pan Yang uncertainly: "It's you?"

Pan Yang leaned back in his chair, his expression ambiguous: "Guess."

Xu Li quickly composed himself: "Young Master Bai is quite capable. If Young Master Bai cooperates with me, I will not hold these matters against you. How about it?"

After all, why not sacrifice a little to gain a more capable helper?

Xu Li stood up and walked to Pan Yang, saying, "Young Master Bai, my patience is also limited."

Pan Yang looked at him indifferently: "My patience is also limited."

Hilarious! It's like everyone has no patience, so why can you say whatever you want but I can't?

"Bai Panyang." Xu Li's patience was wearing thin. He glanced at Panyang's lit-up phone screen and exclaimed angrily, "You fucking called the police!"

Pan Yang nodded very honestly: "I called the police as soon as I arrived. I told you I'm a law-abiding citizen."

"You're asking for death!" Xu Li finally lost his temper, drew his pistol and pointed it at Pan Yang: "Young Master Bai has really impressed me. If I go in, you won't live either."

He fired immediately after speaking, but the bullet stopped in front of Fan Yang, spun rapidly, and fell to the ground.

Xu Li, somewhat incredulous, fired several more shots, but the bullets all ended up on the ground.

The police quickly rushed up and pinned them to the ground.

Team Leader Lin looked at Bai Panyang with a complicated expression: "Thank you for your contributions to the country."

Who would have thought that he alone could take down two major gangs, as well as several smaller groups?

Such a person would have a bright future if they joined the police force, but if they harbor evil intentions, they could be a big problem.

Pan Yang put away his phone and nodded: "Of course, Captain Lin said to call the police if there's trouble."

Team Leader Lin was speechless. This is really a big problem for you.

"If you want to join the police force, you are welcome anytime."

Upon hearing this, Pan Yang immediately took a step back: "How could you repay kindness with enmity! I finally have some free time, and you still want me to work? You are utterly heartless!"

Team Leader Lin was completely stunned by Pan Yang's huge reaction. After thinking about it carefully, he realized that the Bai family was now doing legitimate business and doing quite well, having already opened many branch companies.

How could a CEO like that possibly work for the police?

Team Leader Lin forced them to leave, and Xu Li's remaining forces were quickly captured as well. Finally, on the day Xu Li was sentenced, the main quest was completed.

Pan Yang is now completely free. He spends all his time lying at home. Basically, no one in the underworld or the legitimate world dares to mess with him. You'd be asking for trouble if you messed with him.

Zhou Yang looked at him lying on the sofa without sitting properly and felt a little helpless. He walked over and gently patted his shoulder: "Get up, Uncle Wang has prepared the meal."

"It's alright, I won't starve if I don't eat a meal," the man said very seriously.

He found it rather amusing and said, "Eat, not eating will easily upset your stomach."

Pan Yang sat up abruptly and blurted out, somewhat inexplicably, "Have we met before?"

A long, long time ago, even longer than 001, so long that he seemed to have forgotten.

Zhou Yang raised an eyebrow: "We probably met in a past life." He then pulled Pan Yang to his feet.

Pan Yang didn't continue asking, as if the question wasn't directed at Zhou Yang but at himself.

The two eventually lived together for decades, adopted a child, and transferred all of the Bai family's assets to that child.

He eventually died of old age. After being teleported back to the system space, he rubbed his temples, as if he was thinking about something.

001 didn't dare to ask a question, and after a long while, she heard Pan Yang speak: "Let's go to the next world."
