Chapter 28 Immortal Venerable, Take Your Time (Part 2)

Just as Pan Yang was fantasizing about how easy and wonderful this world was, he received a mission from the sect leader.

He took some furry children to the mortal world to train in subduing demons and monsters.

Pan Yang: "..." I just came here to kill a demon and retire!

Lin Lin'an coughed, seeing the resentment in Pan Yang's eyes, "Isn't this my sect leader? Something's up. Your second senior brother has been busy researching new pills these past few days, your third senior sister has to teach, and your fourth senior brother has been doing accounts lately. You're the only one who has free time."

"Good junior brother, good junior brother, just this once. Anyway, these brats will have their martial arts competition next month, so we can just watch the show."

"..." Pan Yang blinked, his expression indifferent. Why did he have a feeling that this sect was doomed?!

Before Huan Yang could even speak, Lin Lin'an clutched his head and exclaimed, "Ouch, my head hurts so much! I need to rest! Junior brother, those little brats are yours now!"

They disappeared in a flash.

Pan Yang turned around, ready to leave! How could a big shot like him look after children? But as soon as he turned around, he saw his three disciples staring at him in surprise.

Jiang Meishuang ran to Pan Yang's side: "Master! Are you accompanying us on this year's training?"

Pan Yang: "No..."

"I knew Master would definitely go this time! Let's see what that brat Jiang Feng has to say about Master not caring about us." Jiang Zhouyu said arrogantly, hands on his hips.

"I……"

"Master, what's wrong? Don't you want to go on the training with us? It's okay if you don't go, I can take care of the junior brothers and sisters!" Zhou Yang said considerately.

"..." Heh! A few brats!

And so, Pan Yang led a bunch of little rascals to the mortal realm.

However, these disciples are not too young; they are mostly seventeen or eighteen years old, with the youngest being fifteen.

Aside from the younger ones being curious, everyone else was fine once they arrived in the mortal realm.

Zhou Yang, on the other hand, always went to some small stalls to look at things.

Jiang Meishuang's eyes lit up when she looked at the candied hawthorns. Even Huan Yang wondered if these two were really the original owner's disciples. The original owner was so strict, but this child was so lively.

Jiang Meishuang swallowed hard. A disciple beside her, unable to bear it any longer, asked, "Senior Sister Jiang, would you like some? My master gave me a lot of silver coins; I'll buy it for you."

"No, no, no, those who don't cultivate immortality shouldn't be so greedy! Thank you for your kindness, Junior Brother." Jiang Meishuang quickly waved her hand, then gritted her teeth and refused to look at the candied hawthorns, staring longingly at them.

"Junior sister, here you go." Jiang Zhouyu held out his hand.

Jiang Meishuang quickly took one when she saw the candied hawthorns appear in front of her: "Thank you, senior brother!"

Jiang Zhouyu shook his head: "Don't thank me, I didn't buy it."

"Who is that? Is it Senior Brother?"

Jiang Zhouyu shook his head and smiled, "Guess." He then waved the candied hawthorn in his hand.

Jiang Meishuang looked at Pan Yang walking ahead, then glanced at Jiang Zhouyu and Zhou Yang.

She rushed over, her face beaming with joy: "Thank you, Master!"

Pan Yang glanced at Jiang Meishuang: "Why are you thanking me? It's not like I bought it." Why would a big shot buy things for a child!

001: I can see you saying one thing and meaning another.

Jiang Meishuang didn't care about Huan Yang's words at all. She took a bite of the candied hawthorn and said, "Thank you, Master. It's very sweet. I won't let you down, Master." After saying that, she skipped over to Jiang Zhouyu's side.

Pan Yang continued walking leisurely forward, still looking ahead.

"Master, I am very happy to have you here." Zhou Yang walked beside Pan Yang. Zhou Yang's height was not much different from Pan Yang's, and he was even a little taller.

Pan Yang glanced at Zhou Yang and continued walking slowly forward.

Zhou Yang stayed by Fan Yang's side for a long time before speaking.

"Does Master know the origin of my name?"

Without even thinking, Pan Yang blurted out, "I don't know." I don't want to know at all!

Zhou Yang chuckled lightly, "It's alright, I'll tell Master later." He then retreated to the middle of the group.

"..." I don't want to know, thank you.

Pan Yang sighed. Luckily, there were no hidden characters, otherwise he would have just dismantled the system.

The group first found an inn to stay in, while Jiang Meishuang and Zhou Yang, along with two outer disciples, inquired about the presence of any monsters.

Pan Yang sat in the inn room. The room was quite nice, with a window facing the street, offering a view of the bustling scene.

A few young girls on the street happened to see Pan Yang, and some of them covered their faces shyly and giggled.

Zhou Yang looked up and saw Pan Yang. Their eyes met, and Zhou Yang smiled.

Pan Yang turned her head away from him. "Hiss~ Why is that little brat smiling so creepily! I knew he was up to no good!"

Around noon, the group returned to the inn. Jiang Meishuang skipped and hopped to Fan Yang and said, "Master! We found out that there seems to be a water monster at some Shuangmian Lake, and many people have had accidents there."

Zhou Yang said with some helplessness, "About four miles southeast of Master, there is a double-sided lake. As Junior Sister said, there is a water monster there. The monster has never revealed its true face. When villagers pass by in boats, they can only see a dark shadow, which sinks the boats. Five or six people have already died. It is probably quite powerful."

“Yes, yes, that’s it!” Jiang Meishuang nodded in agreement.

Upon hearing this, Jiang Zhouyu perked up: "Master, let's go now!"

Pan Yang looked at the excited group of people and nodded.

Soon the group arrived at Shuangmian Lake. The lake was calm, and there wasn't even a bird chirping around, which was rather eerie.

Zhou Yang rented a boat from a boatman, intending to go out and explore the waters.

Four people share a boat, and there are also some people on the shore ready to help in case of an accident.

And Pan Yang happened to be in the same boat as his three disciples.

The boat, propelled by oars, slowly drifted towards the center of the lake.

Pan Yang stared blankly at the lake, using the original owner's magic to probe the bottom but finding no water monster.

But the surrounding silence was so eerily quiet that Pan Yang found it strange.

Jiang Meishuang looked relaxed and suddenly burst out laughing.

Jiang Zhouyu looked puzzled and tapped Jiang Meishuang on the head: "What are you laughing at?"

"Ouch, Senior Brother, why did you hit me!" Jiang Meishuang covered her head, then glanced at Pan Yang: "Senior Brother, don't you feel scared with Master around? Besides, this is the first time Master has been with us."

Jiang Zhouyu: "Master still has to cultivate, and there are so many things to deal with every day, so naturally he didn't have much time to spend with us before." But even though he said that, he was genuinely happy that his master was spending time with them for the first time.

Hearing the two whispering, Pan Yang didn't say anything. He squinted at the water, squatted down, and put his hand into the water.

Suddenly a dark shadow appeared. As soon as Pan Yang took his hand out of the water, the shadow sank back into the water.

Just as Pan Yang was wondering what was going on, a cry of surprise rang out.

"Ah! I saw the water monster!" a disciple shouted.

"Watch out! It's coming!" The boat was shot down in the next second, but luckily the crew was prepared and quickly channeled their magic to avoid falling into the water.

The next second, the ship where Pan Yang was located shook violently, and the ship actually split directly in two from the middle.

Jiang Meishuang almost lost her balance, but thankfully she managed to stay upright. As the boat slowly sank, she could only circulate her magic power.

Pan Yang stood on the water, which seemed to support him like a barrier.

"Wow, Master's magic is so powerful!" Jiang Meishuang exclaimed, knowing that if she hadn't been standing on her sword, she would have fallen completely into the water.
