Inside the Imperial Study.
"Do you know that's your own brother!" The emperor glared angrily at Fan Yang, who was sitting in a wheelchair.
After thinking about it seriously for a while, Fan Yang said earnestly, "Half-siblings don't count, and besides, he was the one who secretly kept the dragon robe. My actions are a matter of upholding justice and eliminating family ties."
"Song Panyang, do you really think I'm a fool?!" The emperor slammed his fist on the table, furious.
He has now discovered that Pan Yang is becoming increasingly rebellious and uncontrollable, and such a person must be eliminated.
“I never said you were an idiot, you admitted it yourself!” Pan Yang blurted out without thinking, as if he couldn’t see the emperor’s fury at all.
It's pitiful that he's only in his fifties and his mind isn't working properly anymore.
The emperor took a deep breath, a sinister glint in his eyes: "Pan'er, I'm giving you one last chance. Consider the matter of the dragon robe an error, and you will remain the crown prince of our country."
Pan Yang shrugged and casually said, "I don't want it." Just because you give me this opportunity doesn't mean I have to take it! Who do you think you are!
"Guards! The Crown Prince has committed fratricide and is plotting a rebellion! Throw the Crown Prince into the Imperial Prison!"
No sooner had the emperor finished speaking than the soldiers guarding outside rushed in and surrounded Pan Yang.
Nianpan and Siyang also rushed to appear and protect Nianpan.
"Song Panyang, are you plotting a rebellion? I advise you to surrender obediently." The emperor narrowed his eyes and threatened the three men.
"Treason? Yes, I am indeed going to rebel." Fan Yang's lips curled up slightly, his eyes as deep as the sea, as if rebelling was as easy as turning his hand.
But as soon as he finished speaking, Nianpan and Siyang suddenly put down their weapons and surrendered.
No! This isn't the storyline we were supposed to see!
Nianpan lowered her head and whispered, "Master, General Zhao just went out of the palace to see his wife and daughter. He probably won't be back for several hours."
"Um, can I take back what I just said?" Pan Yang said calmly, looking at the emperor who was furious.
As expected, the three were imprisoned, while Song Linan was escorted out of the palace by Zhao Rui and imprisoned, so there was no need to worry about her being released.
Pan Yang sat in his wheelchair, looking out at the moonlight through the small window.
"Master, don't worry, the Imperial Advisor and General Zhao will be here soon," Si Yang said, reassuringly, thinking that Pan Yang was worried about not being able to get out.
"No, I'm just hungry. Do you have anything to eat?" Pan Yang explained calmly.
Am I the kind of person who would worry? Just kidding, I'm a big shot.
"Ah, I didn't bring any food with me," Si Yang said somewhat awkwardly.
"I didn't bring any either," Nianpan said when she saw Pan Yang looking at her.
A carrier pigeon landed by the window, and Si Yang quickly caught it.
"It's General Zhao. General Zhao said he'd come to rescue his master in an hour."
Pan Yang nodded, looked at the carrier pigeons, and slowly asked, "Do you have anything that can write?"
After an incense stick had burned, Zhao Rui saw the note on the leg of the returning carrier pigeon and quickly tore it open.
The sign above reads: "Bring a roast chicken, I'm a little hungry."
Zhao Rui: ...
The Crown Prince was indeed extraordinary.
"Oh no! The palace is on fire again!" came an exclamation from outside the prison.
There was a lot of noise outside, and the fire must have been quite big.
"Grand Preceptor, what brings you here?" The next second, the sound of a sword being drawn could be heard.
Then Kong Zhouyang came over and opened the cell door: "Is Your Highness alright?"
"Your Highness! The roast chicken you ordered!" Zhao Rui then rushed over as well.
Kong Zhouyang: "..." What the heck?
An hour later, the imperial study in the palace was almost completely reduced to ashes, and the smoke from the fire was so thick that it was difficult to open one's eyes.
The Imperial Advisor slowly pushed Pan Yang in front of the Emperor, who was being held down by two guards and unable to move.
The emperor, seeing Fan Yang sitting in a wheelchair, was so angry that he spat out a mouthful of blood.
"You unfilial son! You unfilial son! I should have just killed you!"
"It's too late for you to regret it now." Pan Yang said calmly, then looked at him as if he were an ant: "Suppress him."
The next day, everyone learned of the great change that had occurred in the palace.
But no one dared to say anything, jokingly, with Zhao Rui and Kong Zhouyang by his side, they couldn't possibly handle it.
And so, Pan Yang rightfully became the emperor.
But Pan Yang was not happy at all. He only wanted to be a nominal emperor and had no desire to attend court sessions or submit memorials.
Pan Yangsheng stared blankly at the pile of memorials on the table. They were bullying a disabled person! Bullying a disabled person!
001: It wasn't you who personally approved the memorial!
Kong Zhouyang put the memorial he had just finished reviewing back on the table, then picked up another stack of unread memorials, moved them to the table next to him, and continued to review them.
It was probably late at night when I finished reading all the memorials.
Emperor Yang waved his hand and said, "I am too amazing. Minister Kong, go back and rest. Keep up the good work next time."
Kong Zhouyang stood up, bowed, but did not leave. Instead, he walked slowly to Fan Yang and said slowly, "Does Your Majesty's previous statement mean that once I understand it, Your Majesty will like me?"
Upon hearing this, Fan Yang looked at him but remained silent.
Kong Zhouyang sighed, pulled the table aside, squatted down to meet his gaze, his eyes filled with helplessness and resignation.
"Your Majesty, I am willing to be your loyal subject forever. Even if Your Majesty does not want me, I will still be willing to serve you." The love in Kong Zhouyang's eyes seemed to devour Fan Yang.
Kong Zhouyang slowly leaned closer to Fan Yang, and at that moment the two were so close that they could see the fine hairs on each other's faces.
In the end, Kong Zhouyang only placed a kiss on Fan Yang's brow: "Your Majesty, I have offended you."
Pan Yang lowered his eyes, suppressing his emotions. Just when Kong Zhouyang thought he was angry, Pan Yang finally spoke.
"Zhou Yang, what if I never fall in love with you?" To be honest, he didn't really understand what it felt like to love someone, nor did he understand why two people who had no connection at all could fall in love with each other.
Regarding the previous conversation, he realized that he didn't need anything; he didn't need constraints or shackles. In this world, Kong Zhouyang had almost absolute power.
He didn't like this right restricting him, but if Kong Zhouyang didn't restrain himself...
Upon hearing Fan Yang's words, Kong Zhouyang sighed, as if in resignation: "Then I will wait until Your Majesty likes me. If Your Majesty never likes me, I will wait forever for Your Majesty to like me."
"..." Pan Yang raised his eyes to look at the person. Just as 001 said, Zhou Yang's love had become increasingly strong and profound, transcending the limitations of the world.
"We'll see." Pan Yang didn't answer directly, but Kong Zhouyang didn't care. He just wanted to stay quietly with Pan Yang.
To stay with this person who seems to be forever out of place in the world.
In the end, the two passed away peacefully in their old age. In all those decades, Pan Yang never uttered a single word of affection, but Kong Zhouyang knew that he had become the one and only person in Pan Yang's heart.
001: "Main quest/hidden quest completed."
