The spider beehive was instantly set ablaze. After throwing it away, Linghu Lan lay down in the sandpit and covered her face with her clothes.
The buzzing of countless spiders and bees sent chills down one's spine, and soon after, Gu Peng's scream rang out.
Linghu Lan closed her eyes; there are always those who won't shed tears until they see the coffin.
If I don't show you something amazing, you won't know that I'm a firework of a different kind.
After a while.
The spider-bees' nest was completely burned down, and the smoke and fumes disoriented them, causing them to scatter and flee.
Before long, only a few lone spider-bees remained, circling around in place.
Linghu Lan emerged from the sandpit, shook off the sand, and calmly walked to Gu Peng's side.
She glanced at Gu Peng and couldn't help but let out a goose-like laugh.
Holy crap!
Although she had imagined that Gu Peng's exposed lips would turn into sausage lips, she never expected them to be like this crispy-on-the-outside, tender-on-the-inside roasted sausage.
She lifted the clothes covering Gu Peng's head and face, and a spider-like wasp buzzed out. Linghu Lan waved her hand a few times to sweep the wasp away.
She asked with a smile, "How was it? Looks like you didn't manage to scare the spider bees. Is your mouth still sharp?"
Gu Peng cried.
She cried from the pain.
His lips were being bitten by dozens of spider wasps, and the pain was excruciating. If his hands hadn't been tied, he would have shot himself immediately.
He had always been cautious and prudent throughout his life, never expecting that he would fall for a woman.
"Don't be so smug, you surnamed Chen. Sooner or later, I'll teach you a lesson and make you die by my hand."
He endured the pain and mumbled out the curses, finally venting his anger.
Linghu Lan stood up, her gaze passing through the wall to Jiang Fu in the distance. They had finished eating and were still standing outside the door, probably waiting for the stench inside to dissipate.
That was the palace of the Ghost Mother God Kingdom. As soon as the door opened, the energy flowed in. It wouldn't be long before they went inside, and she needed to catch up as soon as possible.
She glanced at Gu Peng and said softly, "You have twenty minutes to talk about you and Jiang Fu. If you don't, I'll go find someone else. See that bulge over there?"
Gu Peng looked in the direction Linghu Lan was pointing and saw another sandbag about twenty meters away, clearly another nest of desert spider wasps.
He immediately panicked.
Holy crap, how come there are so many of these things here? He must have been blessed by his ancestors to not have encountered them earlier.
He glared fiercely at Linghu Lan. "The most poisonous heart is a woman's heart. This little bitch is really ruthless and vicious."
Linghu Lan's voice slowly rang out.
"three!"
"two!"
"Wait, I'll talk, I'll talk."
"Okay, I'm listening."
Gu Peng suppressed his inner turmoil and said in a low voice, "I met Jiang Fu at the antique market. As you know, I'm a tomb raider. I often steal things and need to resell them. Jiang Fu has a very sharp eye, and we got to know each other after a while. He can tell whether my items are newly dug up or faked. Later, he said he had found a tomb and asked if I wanted to raid it, and that's how we started working together..."
Gu Peng, a seasoned veteran, explained the whole story clearly.
Each and every one of these incidents has a time, a place, and people involved.
Linghu Lan listened and recorded the audio.
Twenty minutes later, Gu Peng finished speaking and looked at Linghu Lan expectantly: "Miss Chen, I have told you everything as you instructed. You won't kill me to cover it up, will you?"
Linghu Lan flicked her wrist slightly, and a knife appeared in her hand.
Gu Peng's face changed color in shock, "You're going back on your word..."
