The small garden in Suning Palace, though not as beautiful as the Imperial Garden, is unique in that it is filled with purple magnolia trees, a sight unlike any other.
Linghu Lan and Yue Qingyin walked under the flowering trees, the clusters of purple blossoms a delight to behold.
Linghu Lan glanced sideways at Yue Qingyin and asked, "Are you blaming me? Are you complaining that I let you into the palace even though I knew you didn't want to?"
Yue Qingyin was startled.
"Your Majesty, I dare not complain!"
Linghu Lan plucked a purple magnolia and played with it in her hand. Her eyes swept over Yue Qingyin, who was feigning a look of panic, and she couldn't help but reveal a sarcastic smile.
"I don't believe it!"
"Your Majesty, my loyalty is as clear as the sun and moon. Why are you so suspicious?" Yue Qingyin's expression turned cold, and she decided to retort.
"Yue Qingyin, if the sun and moon heard your words, they would be ashamed for you. It turns out that you are such a fickle person. You have only been in the palace for a day and you have already forgotten about Prince Anxian."
"What did you say?" Yue Qingyin's heart pounded wildly. She felt as if her greatest secret in life had been exposed in one fell swoop, and the fear overwhelmed her.
"Don't you know perfectly well what I'm talking about? I'm talking about Prince Anxian, Jun Qiming, sister!"

Yue Qingyin's hands and feet were ice-cold. If she still didn't realize that the Empress was using this as an excuse to reprimand her, she would be incredibly foolish. She had no choice but to whisper, "From now on, I will follow the Empress's lead."
