Linghu Lan quickly walked to the backyard and saw something trembling in the flower bushes. She went over to look and found a little girl squatting in the flower bushes with her head in her hands, muttering, "Don't look for me, I'm a good person, don't look for me, I'm a good person."
"Where are the master and mistress?" Linghu Lan chuckled.
The girl looked up and saw a beautiful, unfamiliar face, not a ghost. She pointed in a direction.
"What are you doing looking for the master and mistress in the main hall? That ghost went to find the master. You might lose your life if you go now. Why don't you hide here with me?"
"..." Linghu Lan.
She smiled. "Thank you, I'm not afraid of ghosts!"
"Uh!" The little girl was stunned for a moment. How could someone not be afraid of ghosts?
Linghu Lan walked towards the main hall. The layout of ancient houses is actually quite easy to recognize; they all follow certain rules and regulations.
She easily found the main hall, opened the door and went in, but saw nothing.
Linghu Lan smiled slightly and put a lucky charm on herself.
Within three seconds, a very faint voice was heard: "Have you arrived yet?"
"Go out and take a look."
"Go and bring in the bundle of gold that I was carrying. I forgot about it."
"I'm not going. You can have your gold if you want."
"You dare!"
With a "thump!", a middle-aged man was kicked in the buttocks and emerged from behind a painting, kneeling down in front of Linghu Lan. The painting behind him quickly closed.
"A shrew!" the middle-aged man muttered under his breath, then looked up and saw Linghu Lan, his eyes lighting up instantly.
He gave an awkward laugh, touched his backside, quickly got up, coughed twice, and asked in a deliberately elegant manner, "Whose young lady are you, and what brings you to my residence?"
Linghu Lan smiled slightly. "Master Wang, today is the auspicious day for you to take a concubine. Why are you and your wife hiding?"
concubine?
Master Wang's expression changed; he didn't believe that his newly acquired concubine had turned into a ghost.
Maybe it was his 'wise wife' who didn't want him to take a concubine, and she conspired with the maids and servants in the mansion to pull this trick. Anyway, everyone in this mansion is her person, so she can say whatever she wants.
As for him, he couldn't refuse to cooperate with her acting either, or the boss would slap him across the face, leaving him with a sore face.
"Ahem, we have some business inside. Who are you, young lady? You look unfamiliar."
Master Wang's eyes were fixed on Linghu Lan with a lecherous gaze. His domineering wife kept a tight rein on him, and the tighter he tried to control her, the more uncontrollable his lust became.
Linghu Lan smiled; she had seen plenty of lecherous ghosts like this in the underworld.
Such a person would be fried in a frying pan until crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The ghost-eating beast would swallow them, making a crunching sound as it chewed them. The remnants would be spat onto the Reincarnation Platform. The next day, upon waking up, they would be a complete ghost again. They would then be fried in the frying pan once more, enduring enough torture before being allowed to reincarnate.
"I am your little wife!"
Linghu Lan spoke casually, glancing around.
The paintings hanging on the wall are obviously fakes, probably hung by Mr. and Mrs. Wang to show off their refined tastes. It would have been better if they had hung paintings by local celebrities, but they chose to imitate famous paintings. The painter's skills are not up to par, and it is easy to tell that the painting is not sophisticated. The "class" level is instantly lowered.
Master Wang was secretly delighted. Could it be that despite his age, he remained as charming and carefree as ever, attracting some beautiful young woman to his side?
"Thank you for not abandoning me, young lady..."
Before he could finish speaking, the painting on the wall opened again, and a burly woman rushed out and slapped Master Wang twice across the face.
