"Born from the touch of Heaven? Does that mean the gods are moved by love?" Cangwu raised an eyebrow.
Cang Hai smiled slightly, neither confirming nor denying.
"In the primordial era, love was everywhere, and the gods born from it possessed divine power from birth. However, when the human race rose to power, all the love-seeking beings were burned by the ancient gods of the primordial era. I escaped by chance and fell into a deep sleep. When I woke up, I met you. These ancient gods destroyed my race, but the person I love is the guardian of the gods' tombs. How can I not resent them?"
"The workings of heaven and earth have their own rules. I suspect that the destruction of the Seed of Love was not due to the rise of the human race, but rather because the method of activating the Seed of Love was too domineering. A Seed of Love can drain the essence of gods and humans and also take away half of their cultivation. For mortals, activating a Seed of Love would probably require the slaughter of an entire city."
Cang Hai glanced at her sideways and sighed, "You're right. How fortunate I am to have met you and been inspired. But, all things in nature can survive, so why can't a lover? Even if what you said is true, I still harbor resentment in my heart."
Cangwu fell silent. Kindness was forgotten in the blink of an eye, while hatred was passed down from generation to generation. This was true for mortals, and it was true for immortals as well.
Cang Hai continued, "I plotted against you in this small world, but I didn't expect you to launch a counterattack and try to take me down with you. I was really scared then, afraid that you really wanted to die with me. But when death was imminent, I realized that I liked this wonderful world more than you."
"You've finally figured it out!"
"Is that so? It's truly not easy to understand." Cang Hai looked at Cang Wu's solemn expression, his eyes filled with unfathomable emotions. "I've been imprisoned in this palace for thousands of years, all thanks to you! However, I still have to thank you for your leniency; you didn't kill me, only crippled my cultivation. But, Cang Wu, you're wrong!"
Cangwu paused. "Indeed, I was wrong!"
"You should kill me!" The fanaticism in Cang Hai's eyes was ignited. She touched the mirror again, and the faces of Song Cheng, Xu Yuan, Mo Wen, and Linghu Lan flashed in the mirror, along with many suspicious people who were exploring the graveyard.
Cang Hai's eyes were devoid of emotion. "Once this group of people is all dead, my seal will soon be broken."
Cangwu's heart sank. "Was it worth all this trouble?"
"There's nothing worthwhile about it, it's just for amusement! I'm connected to you by blood. During the days you've been asleep, I've tried to communicate with this little world and I've made some progress. Alas! You've been asleep for too long. If you continue to sleep, this little world will automatically recognize me as its master."
As she spoke, Cang Hai turned her gaze to Linghu Lan in the mirror. She touched Linghu Lan's cheek with her finger and said calmly:
“If this woman hadn’t refused to die, I would have had no choice but to teleport them to the second level. I’m afraid you would still be sleeping underground.”
"Ink Concealment!"
"Ha, you actually remember her name!" A flash of anger crossed Cang Hai's eyes as she turned her gaze to Linghu Lan once more.
In the mirror.
Linghu Lan caught up with Song Cheng and Xu Yuan and quickly knocked them to the ground.
Cang Hai's eyes held a hint of anger. She lightly touched the mirror with her finger, and a glittering object appeared beside Xu Yuan's hand.
A wish could be made by simply grabbing a pen?
The Fate-Controlling Pen.
A thought suddenly struck her, and she shouted at Song Cheng, "Hold her back!"
Song Cheng shouted and, ignoring the pain in his leg, leaped forward.
Xu Yuan quickly retrieved Mo Yin's Book of Fate and wrote on it with a pen: Mo Yin will die of sudden cardiac arrest.
