Linghu Lan looked at the man calmly.
The man's eyes reddened, and he asked Linghu Lan hesitantly, "Is she possessed by a ghost?"
I'm not sure!
"She must be possessed by a ghost. She wasn't like this before. I've seen her face at night before, and her features were perfectly fine."
The man seemed to be deep in thought, then suddenly his eyes widened. "I remember now! I remember when she stopped letting me see her face. Ever since we came back from the hospital, she's refused to let me see her face again. She must have been possessed by a ghost in the hospital. Countless people have died in hospitals; they're inherently eerie places."
The man became increasingly certain as he spoke, but Linghu Lan remained unmoved and calmly asked, "The hospital?"
"Yes, she had a serious illness before, and the hospital even issued a critical condition notice..." The man didn't continue, but the implication was clear: the woman might have been possessed by a ghost when she was critically ill and weak.
Linghu Lan's cold eyes flashed like lightning. "Even so, do you want her to die?"
"No, I don't want her to die, please save her."
The man's gaze was sincere, and Linghu Lan felt relieved. "Let's go to your house. You lead the way."
Just as Linghu Lan finished speaking, there was a rapid knocking on the door.
"???"
Linghu Lan and the man looked at each other in bewilderment.
Linghu Lan found it strange. Wenmo's house was always quiet, and it was impossible for anyone to come and visit. But today, the knocking was urgent and violent, almost shaking the house to its core.
"I'll go open the door!"
Linghu Lan walked forward, but the man grabbed her in fear and pointed to the light in the room.
At this moment, the lights began to flicker, and a strange atmosphere enveloped the entire room. The man couldn't help but scream, "A ghost!"
Linghu Lan smiled, patted the man on the shoulder, and continued, "Even if it really is a ghost, it doesn't matter, I've bribed the Ghost King."
As soon as she finished speaking, Linghu Lan felt that the black spider lily between her eyebrows was slightly warm. A strange feeling welled up in her heart. Was Ming Hong shy?
The man clearly couldn't understand Linghu Lan's humor; his frown and increased anxiety only intensified as he shook hands with her.
Linghu Lan flung open the door, and a figure darted in. Standing in the living room, the figure clutched its chest, panting, and looked at Linghu Lan defiantly: "Didn't you send it to you? I brought it!!"
Linghu Lan looked out the door and saw a ghost floating in the air in the distance, slowly drifting towards the two of them.
Linghu Lan turned around and glanced silently at Luo Ran'er. "Female lead, are you being too flashy?"
Luo Ran'er was in a bad mood today, looking at Linghu Lan with an icy expression, as if she was not afraid of a fight to the death.
The man stared blankly at the ghost, completely terrified. He pointed tremblingly at the flickering ghost and said in a trembling voice, "That's my wife."
"A faceless wife?" Linghu Lan was taken aback. "Didn't you say your wife has no face?"
"I don't know either. She really didn't have a face that night, but she was a human then, and now she's a ghost!"
"That makes sense."
The female ghost drew closer and closer, and the man recoiled in terror, quickly taking a few steps back.
The ghost finally arrived at the door, and Linghu Lan stood calmly at the door watching it.
A human and a ghost stood facing each other at the doorway.
