The crystal ball was filled with swirling black mist, as if someone had splashed black ink on it.
A hoarse, shrill laugh emanated from the crystal ball. The black ink gradually condensed, forming the shape of a person. The sea witch appeared on the crystal ball and slowly drifted down to the ground.
"Tsk tsk!" The sea witch clicked her tongue. "Look at you, fifteen years have passed, and you've still made a mess of everything. So, going back fifteen years, did you end the darkness? Hahaha! I told you long ago, the truth is always crueler than you imagine. You really are a princess who never grew up. If it weren't for me, you would have died long ago!"
Linghu Lan closed her eyes slightly, calmed herself, and looked directly at her. "You've been hiding here all this time?"
"No, that's not it. I occasionally travel to other worlds, and I've seen you several times. However, you just haven't seen me. How about that? I told you long ago that this won't work, child. You should listen to my advice. This world is beyond saving. No matter how hard you try, you can only change the world you live in. In fifteen years, the other two worlds will return to their own paths and start their own cycles again. You can't change all three worlds at the same time!"
“That’s exactly what I thought!” Linghu Lan’s face remained calm, as if she hadn’t heard the sea witch’s mockery. “I think the reason why Snow White and Princess Rose’s worlds returned to their starting point is because I didn’t intervene in their worlds at the same time. If I had been able to trigger changes in the other two worlds while preventing the Little Mermaid from rising to the surface, I think their worlds wouldn’t have returned to their starting point after fifteen years, right?”
The sea witch's eyes flickered. Instead of directly answering Linghu Lan's question, she continued to mock in a harsh voice, "You're thinking too simply. What could possibly change three worlds simultaneously?"
Linghu Lan lowered her head and did not answer. She replied softly, "I haven't found it yet, but I think I will. Don't you think so?"
"Hahahaha!" The sea witch still didn't answer directly, but laughed loudly, as if Linghu Lan's question was extremely ridiculous. She replied perfunctorily, "Yes, yes, yes, you will definitely find it."
"You just said that I wouldn't be able to survive without you. What is our relationship?" Linghu Lan smiled and said softly.
"You'll have to discover our relationship yourself. Don't try to trick me into revealing anything. You're too naive. What ridiculous wishes do you still have? I'll grant them for you. See, I'll never refuse you!" The sea witch smiled mockingly.
Linghu Lan chuckled and sighed, "Thank you so much! I still want to go back to fifteen years ago, but this time you've sent me to the Dark Forest, and I haven't decided which country to go to or whose fate to change!"
"The Dark Forest? The forest where the seven dwarfs live? That's really not a good place. It's strange that you like it!" The sea witch muttered, but she didn't slow down at all. Soon, the crystal ball flashed with light, and after a few flashes, Linghu Lan appeared in the Dark Forest. The place she landed was the same place where she landed when she first started her mission. Everything seemed to have returned to the starting point.
Not far away are the houses of the seven dwarfs.
