Chapter 1513 The Farm Girl Takes Charge 9

The two sedan chair carriers looked at each other in bewilderment: "We don't know. We didn't bury them. We heard that in this cemetery, all the unclaimed people around here are buried here."

"How many concubines did your master marry?"

Five!

Linghu Lan's eyes flickered slightly as she looked at the two people squatting obediently on the ground, a cold smile playing on her lips: "Would you like to meet the five concubines that your master and mistress killed?"

"No, no, please spare my life, Great Immortal!"

The two men knelt down with a thud, one of them so frightened that he fell to the ground.

Linghu Lan ignored it; having done nothing wrong, she wasn't afraid of ghosts knocking at her door.

A master who bullies the weak and fears the strong will naturally have no honest and kind servants. Only these two know what they have done wrong.

Linghu Lan continued walking into the desolate graveyard. A gust of wind, seemingly from nowhere, blew through the weeds and created a chilling atmosphere that swirled around Linghu Lan's feet.

Rotten grass.

Fireflies.

A desolate grave.

This place looks eerily gloomy.

Linghu Lan stopped in front of a deserted grave.

Seeing that Linghu Lan had gone far away, the two sedan chair bearers exchanged a glance and decided to run away at the same time.

Just as I stood up and took a step outside, four pebbles flew from a distance, one landing in front of each of my feet.

The two had just run out of the "V" shape when they saw a pebble less than a finger's width from their toes and were terrified. If the pebble could fly so accurately to their feet, it could fly into their heads.

The two of them were feeling down and wanted to squat down on the ground.

Two more pebbles flew over and hit the two men on the shoulders, making them wince in pain.

Great hand strength!

The two then realized that the aunt meant that if they wanted to live, they shouldn't move.

The two had no choice but to remain in the "human" position, not daring to move an inch. Countless times they regretted not running away. Standing like this was nowhere near as comfortable as squatting.

In front of a deserted grave.

Linghu Lan picked up a stone and tapped it three times on a brick in front of the grave.

The sound of stones hitting bricks was exceptionally crisp in this empty wasteland.

Linghu Lan waited for a long time, but there was no movement from the desolate grave.

Linghu Lan picked up the stone and tapped it three more times.

"Chirp!" A little mouse scurried out from the other side of the grave and looked Linghu Lan up and down.

Linghu Lan said calmly, "I have a business deal to do with your master. Please inform him."

"Chirp chirp!"

The mouse quickly disappeared behind the grave.

A moment later, a plume of black smoke shot out from the tomb, obscuring the sky and the sun.

Linghu Lan stood there motionless, as if she had long been accustomed to such scenes.

In the blink of an eye, the scene before her changed. The desolate grave was gone, and Linghu Lan stood at the entrance of a tall courtyard. Two stone lions in front of the gate looked majestic and imposing, and the white lanterns on the gate emitted a faint light.

The door opened from the inside.

A young maid in green robes looked at Linghu Lan with a smile. "Honorable guest, you have come from afar. I am sorry for not welcoming you properly. My master invites you in to meet us."

Linghu Lan nodded and strode through the door. "Thank you!"

"Are those two your servants? Please come in and rest as well. Although this road is bustling with people, my master is a quiet man and doesn't like to see guests. Since we are fortunate to meet you today, why don't you invite your servants in as well, so that my master can show some hospitality?"

Linghu Lan glanced at the two sedan chair bearers still standing in a V-shape in the distance.
