When she spoke of humans, her gaze seemed to pierce through the deep seawater, reaching straight to the sponge, where humans reside.
Linghu Lan looked at her, sighed silently, and turned to enter the room. The water snakes and toads here had all been ordered not to let the little mermaid go to the surface of the sea.
She placed her finger on the crystal ball and activated its magic. Soon, a scene of the sea appeared on the crystal ball.
Dark clouds rolled in, and the large ship collapsed.
Countless people were struggling at sea, including Prince Crimson Flame. He grabbed onto a plank and floated on it to avoid sinking. However, he couldn't hold on for long; his strength would eventually dissipate, and he would never reach the sea. It seemed like he was doomed.
Just as Linghu Lan reached a conclusion, suddenly, Prince Chiyan's body moved. Something below lifted him up, and he swam rapidly towards the shore.
Linghu Lan looked closely and saw it was a dolphin!
Wow!
Sure enough, the protagonist never dies—it's an ironclad rule. Even a nobody like him isn't so easy to kill.
Time changes.
The dolphins carried Prince Crimson Flame to the shallow waters. Prince Crimson Flame regained some strength, swam to the shore on his own, waved to the dolphins to thank them, and then collapsed on the shore, exhausted.
The sun's golden rays shone on the beach, and the sleeping world awoke. A girl walked from afar, and upon seeing the Crimson Flame Prince collapsed on the ground, she was startled. She checked his breath, then turned and went to call for help...
Linghu Lan reached out and covered the crystal ball. The rest of the story was exactly the same as in the fairy tale. However, without the Little Mermaid, it was uncertain whether things would change. After all, the butterfly had already flapped its wings, and the storm might still be brewing.
A beautiful song drifted from outside the door.
That was the most beautiful voice Linghu Lan had ever heard. Even when she was still Kong Fanyin and had drawn a hundred singing skill books, she wouldn't dare say she sang better than The Little Mermaid.
Her singing made the water snakes and toads lie lazily in the swamp, motionless. The seaweed swayed rhythmically, as if dancing a beautiful dance. Linghu Lan sat comfortably on the deck chair left by the sea witch and listened.
Soon, the songs of other mermaids began to ring out outside, including the voice of the Little Mermaid, as they sang in harmony, exchanging greetings in a way that Linghu Lan was unaware of.
Linghu Lan opened her eyes; the mermaids wanted to take back their princess.
The seaweed launched an attack on the mermaids, quickly entangled several mermaids who had accidentally fallen into the seaweed forest. The remaining mermaids rushed to their rescue, but also found themselves in danger.
Linghu Lan snapped her fingers, and the seaweeds reluctantly loosened their long ribbons, freeing the mermaids. Somewhat curious about their miraculous escape, they quickly crossed the swamp and arrived at the house door, which opened automatically.
"Please come in!" Linghu Lan's voice was languid.
The Little Mermaid's father thought for a moment, then swam in first, closing the door behind him. He immediately saw Linghu Lan resting with her eyes closed on the recliner. Suppressing his anger, he said in a deep voice, "What do you want, witch? Are you planning to imprison my daughter here?"
Linghu Lan slowly stood up, pointed, and a chair moved itself behind the Little Mermaid's father. "Please sit! This place is simple, and there's not much to offer. However, I don't think you'd want to use witch's things. The only thing I can offer is something you don't have, like a movie!"
