Wei Meng's father fell into deep thought. Jing Xing was not one to fight unprepared battles; he couldn't possibly be unaware that he lacked guardianship. Knowing full well, he was deliberately acting out of spite, a form of protest, a way of venting his anger. He harbored resentment over Jing Se's death and didn't want them to live too comfortably.
However, they were all soldiers and unwilling to resort to underhanded means. Fighting openly and fairly was probably the best revenge.
On the bed.
Wei Meng's mother shed tears.
A soft spot in her heart was touched. The image of Jing Se being pushed out that day flashed before her eyes. Did her son blame her for deliberately dying on the battlefield? This became a source of heartache for her.
She suddenly spoke up. "Old Wei, give it to them!"
