Han Lingxi was on the cabinet when she suddenly noticed Feng Qifan's briefcase next to her. She then realized that her wallet was still inside, and broke out in a cold sweat. She quickly tried to hide it, otherwise, how could she explain that her wallet was in Feng Qifan's bag?
"Feng Qifan, I'm hungry."
Han Lingxi said imperiously, her meaning quite clear: you go and cook for me.
Whether it was because Feng Qifan was too good-natured, or because of what had just happened, Feng Qifan worked tirelessly without even taking a break before preparing to cook.
"Wait a minute, shall I put you on the sofa?"
Feng Qifan asked in a gentle voice as he checked the contents of the refrigerator.
"No need, I'm so small, what if you accidentally sit on my bottom? I'll just wait here."
Han Lingxi looked as if she had thought it through carefully, and Feng Qifan chuckled but did not refute her.
Seeing that Feng Qifan agreed to let her put it on the cabinet, Han Lingxi breathed a sigh of relief, so she could move her wallet.
Han Lingxi watched Feng Qifan enter the kitchen, but he didn't notice her, so she climbed into Feng Qifan's briefcase, dragged out her wallet, looked around, and could only push the wallet under the cabinet through the gap.
Han Lingxi thought that Feng Qifan wouldn't be so bored as to lie on the floor looking under the cabinet to see what was there. Even if he accidentally saw it, Han Lingxi had already prepared an excuse: she would say that her wallet had accidentally fallen and unexpectedly had grown bigger. Anyway, they didn't know any rules about how big or small things could grow, so it was perfect.
With a "snap," the wallet was finally down. Han Lingxi cautiously glanced at the kitchen. Perhaps the noise from the cooking was too loud and Feng Qifan had closed the door, so she hadn't heard any sound. Han Lingxi was relieved.
Finally, Han Lingxi pushed the wallet down and wiped her sweat. She was exhausted. Luckily, her wallet was the smallest size; she really couldn't have gotten a bigger one.
Han Lingxi sat down to wait out of boredom for a while, and Feng Qifan finished preparing the meal.
"Alright, dinner is ready."
Feng Qifan still smiled and said in his gentle voice, "To be fair, Feng Qifan is really a good man. The food he cooks is really great, with excellent color, aroma and taste." However, Han Lingxi did not react at all. When Feng Qifan saw that Han Lingxi did not respond, he put down the last dish and turned around to look. He found Han Lingxi sitting on the cabinet, looking at him with a "you idiot" look.
Feng Qifan was completely baffled. He looked at Han Lingxi, then at the two bowls of rice on the table, and instantly understood: Han Lingxi was not even as tall as the rice bowls.
"Um, how about we just use a bottle cap as a makeshift solution?"
Feng Qifan asked tentatively, and Han Lingxi's face immediately darkened, but she had no other choice but to nod solemnly.
Seeing Han Lingxi nod, Feng Qifan breathed a sigh of relief. Although Han Lingxi had a bit of a spoiled princess temper, she was still quite sensible. His future days wouldn't be as difficult as he had imagined.
Although he knew that bringing Han Lingxi back would cause a lot of trouble, he couldn't just abandon her. He simply couldn't bring himself to leave her like this, so he was prepared to deal with her bad temper. But so far, she's been very cooperative.
"Ding! Affection +10, Total Affection 40."
The system's voice sounded, and Han Lingxi didn't know where this goodwill came from, but it was always good to have goodwill.
