Chapter 38 Meals at the Front Yard

"Get up, there's no need to kneel," Yin Qingyi said softly. She was still feeling unwell and was afraid she would vomit if she spoke louder.

Feng Qing looked at Yinzhen.

"Get up." Yinzhen nodded.

Yin Qingyi leaned against Yinzhen's chest, quietly waiting for the arrival of the imperial physician.

Autumn Chrysanthemum, Spring Orchid, and Bright Moon and Gentle Breeze silently cleaned up the mess.

By the time Yin Qingyi had recovered from her discomfort, the royal physician finally arrived.

"This servant greets Your Highness, Consort Yin." The physician sighed helplessly. Running around twice a day, this Consort Yin was truly unlucky. He wondered if his life was about to end at her hands.

"Get up, quickly take a look at her." Yinzhen raised his hand, at this moment there was no need to think about etiquette.

The physician had already heard about Yin Qingyi's symptoms from Su Peisheng on the way here. In his opinion, morning sickness was more likely. However, she was almost three months pregnant, and should have passed the stage of morning sickness by now, so he did not dare to make a conclusion.

After taking his pulse, the physician closed his eyes and listened carefully before withdrawing his hand.

"Your Majesty, the princess is fine; it's probably just morning sickness during pregnancy." The physician was relieved; it seemed her life was saved for the day.

"Isn't morning sickness something that only happens in the first three months? She's almost three months along, why is she suddenly experiencing morning sickness?" Yinzhen frowned. After all, he was a father of several children, so he knew a thing or two about these things.

"Your Majesty, everyone's constitution is different, so their reactions will naturally be different. Princess Yin's constitution is different from others, so her morning sickness came on later. However, Princess Yin is almost three months along, so I estimate that the symptoms will disappear in one or two months." The physician was unhurried. Morning sickness is a normal reaction, and there was nothing he could do but try to alleviate it.

"Is there any way to alleviate this?" Yinzhen was not satisfied with the answer, but he also knew that these symptoms were normal.

"Just prepare meals according to the princess's taste, and prepare some dried fruit or something similar to eat when she feels nauseous."

"Hmm, you can go now." Yinzhen waved him away impatiently, but there was nothing he could do.

"This servant takes his leave." The physician rose and withdrew.

"Your Majesty, I'm fine. I don't feel bad anymore." Yin Qingyi raised her small face and smiled at Yinzhen.

"Hmm, is there anything you want to eat now?" Yinzhen seemed unaware that Yin Qingyi had changed how she addressed him, and looked at her with concern in his eyes.

"I don't want to eat." Yin Qingyi shook her head; she really had no appetite at the moment.

"Then when you want to eat later, have someone go to the kitchen, the kitchen in the front yard, to order." Yinzhen originally said the kitchen in the back yard, but then he thought that the kitchen in the back yard was not as good as the one in the front yard, and no one would dare to tamper with things in the kitchen in the front yard, so he felt more at ease ordering from the kitchen in the front yard.

"The front yard?" Yin Qingyi blinked her fox-like eyes at Yinzhen, a hint of confusion in her gaze.

"Hmm, the front yard, let Feng Qing go there. From now on, all your meals will be ordered from the front yard." Yinzhen chuckled. If he didn't protect this little fool, he was afraid he would be eaten alive by the women in the back yard.

"I'll listen to you, Your Highness." Yin Qingyi nodded, seemingly unaware of what Yinzhen meant by that.

Yinzhen liked how Yin Qingyi relied on him; she would never contradict him no matter what he said.

That night, Yinzhen didn't sleep soundly with Yin Qingyi in his arms. Mainly because he wasn't a saint, he couldn't remain unmoved with such a beautiful woman in his embrace.

But considering the person in his arms, Yinzhen managed to hold back, though he woke up the next morning with dark circles under his eyes. Su Peisheng was stunned.

"You dog of a servant, hurry up!" Seeing the look in Su Peisheng's eyes, Yinzhen couldn't save face and couldn't help but scold him in a low voice. He spoke softly, of course, not wanting to wake the little woman who was still fast asleep.

Upon hearing Yinzhen's words, Su Peisheng quickly lowered his head and sped up his work.

Yin Qingyi opened her eyes after Yinzhen had finished getting ready. In fact, she had woken up when Yinzhen got up. Ever since she found out she was pregnant, she didn't know why, but she would wake up at the slightest noise.

"Master," Yin Qingyi called softly.

"Hmm? Why are you awake? Did I disturb you?" Yinzhen stopped in his tracks, turned around and came to the bedside. He stroked Yin Qingyi's soft hair and spoke in a very soft and gentle voice.

"No, are you going to court too?" Yin Qingyi rubbed her face against Yinzhen's large hand, her voice sweet and innocent.

"Hmm, why don't you sleep a little longer? If you want anything to eat later, just have Feng Qing order it from the front yard. I've already spoken to the kitchen staff there, so you can order whatever you like." Looking at the charming girl in front of him, Yinzhen felt as if his heart was filled with honey, and he just wanted to treat this little woman even better.

"Hmm, I'm not sleeping anymore. Be careful on your journey, Your Highness. Remember what you said, that you would come and teach me and the baby the arts of music, chess, calligraphy, and painting when you have time." Yin Qingyi was actually quite hungry now because of what Yinzhen said, and she really didn't want to sleep anymore.

"Alright, I really have to go now, or it will be too late." Yinzhen nodded and stood up. He walked to the screen and turned to look at Yin Qingyi. He saw that Yin Qingyi was looking at him with longing in her eyes. If it weren't for Yinzhen's strong self-control, he probably wouldn't want to leave.

After Yinzhen left, Yin Qingyi had Qiuju and Chunlan serve her and ordered the dishes she wanted to eat. Feng Qing accepted the order and went to the kitchen.

Last night, it seems only Yin Qingyi slept well. The other women in the back courtyard, knowing that Luo Xuexuan had summoned the family physician again, secretly cursed Yin Qingyi, hoping the baby wouldn't survive. Unfortunately, they didn't hear anything bad from Luo Xuexuan last night, but they were still unwilling to give up. They waited until morning to inquire from various sources and finally confirmed that Luo Xuexuan was perfectly fine, just experiencing morning sickness. This made the other women furious.

Yin Qingyi was enjoying herself in her own courtyard, completely unaware of the commotion caused by the women in the backyard because she had called the imperial physician twice the day before. Even if she did know, Yin Qingyi wouldn't care. These women were her enemies to begin with, and they would have loved for her and her unborn child to die. Why would she care what these women were thinking?

After Yin Qingyi finished eating, someone suddenly came to the front yard. It was Su Xiaobao who brought a nanny to Luoxuexuan.

"Princess Yin, this is Granny Naqi. The master specifically instructed that if you wake up and Granny Naqi arrives, bring her along." Su Xiaobao's attitude towards Yin Qingyi had completely changed. Before, this princess was the one fawning over him, but now it was the other way around. He had to fawn over this Princess Yin. Didn't he see how much the master cherished her?

"Naggi Granny, the master told me yesterday to come in quickly, it's very cold outside." Yin Qingyi said with a sweet smile. This Aggi Granny is a treasure; there's nothing she can't do. She must take advantage of her.
