Chapter 111. Eat It All
Li Cuicui muttered to herself, but secretly brought out half a bowl of black porridge from the corner. There was a hint of grass smell in the air.
"Let Jin drink a few sips of this and see if she can recover. Don't be so stupid as to let her eat it all. Save some for yourself."
Gu Wenheng was stunned. This old lady had just secretly given him some food today, and now she was holding half a bowl of rations. He could feel that the other families were staring at this place.
"Don't be silly. Sometimes your face is not as important as your life. I don't know where your studies have gone all these years. You are almost starving your wife to death, and you don't even know to ask your brother for help." When Li Cuicui said this, her face was full of disgust.
If this kid had been more sensible, I wouldn't have to give away so much food today. Didn't I see that my sons and daughters-in-law next to me were all relieved? My heart is still not as hard as others.
The more he thought about it, the angrier he became. He stuffed the bowl directly into Gu Wenheng's hand, turned around and walked towards Gu Dashi angrily.
"This old lady is hard-mouthed but soft-hearted," Jin Qianqian sat up and looked at Li Cuicui's back thoughtfully.
"You're awake," Gu Wenheng held the already broken bowl and sat carefully beside her.
Jin Qianqian smiled bitterly, "My body is too weak, and I still feel sore all over. Luckily I secretly replenished some energy today, otherwise I would have died just after arriving here."
Even though the two of them had set up some small meals at the back of the team, they only dared to drink milk and eat some easily digestible food, otherwise their stomachs would not be able to take it.
Gu Wenheng looked at the black object in his hand, simply tilted his head back, and drank it in a few gulps.
Jin Qianqian quickly raised her hand to stop him, but found him holding an empty bowl and smacking his lips.
This scene looked different to others. The women and children of the Gu family looked at Jin Qianqian with some sympathy.
The Gu brothers covered their faces one after another. They never knew that the seventh brother was so greedy that he was reluctant to give any food to his wife. No wonder his wife was so thin that she would fall down if the wind blew.
Hong Daya was about to stand up, but Gu Yuantu grabbed her arm and shook his head slightly at her.
"Why are you stopping me? I've never seen Old Seven act so badly. He ate all the food by himself. What should my sister-in-law eat?" Hong Daya gritted her teeth, "Or do you want to treat me like this too?"
Gu Yuantu felt that he had died unjustly. He looked at Gu Wenheng with dissatisfaction. He had never seen such an unreliable brother who was bringing trouble to him again.
Even Li Cuicui, who had always been very strong, turned her head away, which was really distressing to see.
Jin Qianqian, unaware that she was being misunderstood, looked at Gu Wenheng worriedly, "Did you knock your teeth?"
Although it has been boiled into a paste, it is conceivable that the wild vegetables and weeds are not cleaned at all, and your mouth will be full of sand and stones as soon as you put it in your mouth.
"It's not bad. It goes down my throat in one bite, so I don't feel much." Gu Wenheng smacked his lips and was in the mood to tease, "You ate too fast. How about I let you feel it, too."
Jin Qianqian rolled her eyes at him and said, "If you really had that thought, you wouldn't have collapsed like this.
Quickly pack up your things and go to bed early, as we will continue tomorrow."
When Jin Qianqian thought about measuring the land endlessly with her legs, she couldn't help but sigh in her heart, "What a sin."
Gu Wenheng fell on his back next to Jin Qianqian without any image. "Finally I feel better, but it's not a good idea to keep going like this. I need to think of a way."
Jin Qianqian, "What else can we do? The lack of water alone is enough to make us suffer."
After saying this, she looked at herself with disdain. Her hands were covered in mud and dirt. Even if she couldn't bear it any more, she didn't dare to sneak a little bit of water out from the space to wash them.
In order to prevent the possible apocalypse, she found several water plants and stored thousands of barrels of purified water.
Thinking of this, Jin Qianqian secretly nudged Gu Wenheng until he looked over, then she quietly said, "Did you see any hidden places when you went out just now? We need to replenish our energy."
Gu Wenheng thought about it carefully, and it really gave him a goal, "It's a bit far."

After most people fell asleep, the two men walked to the side in the dark. The night watchman looked at them, thinking that they were going to take care of their personal needs, and did not pay any attention.
Gu Wenheng and Jin Qianqian used the moonlight to grope their way to the small cave they had seen before. This place was really far away from where they had just rested. If it wasn't for the sake of concealment, Jin Qianqian would have wanted to give up halfway.
"This place is only ten feet wide, and I checked it during the day. There is not even a weed in it. It is not the nest of other animals."
Jin Qianqian looked at the cave and saw that it was in the opposite direction from when she came. She took out a flashlight and checked it carefully, feeling more relieved.
She also prepared some camping lighting in her space, but she didn't dare to take the risk and could only make do with this dim light.
Gu Wenheng took out some white rice porridge that he had packed earlier and looked at the still steaming packaging. He couldn't help licking his lips. "Your space can also keep warm, which is more convenient than carrying a refrigerator with you. In addition to this white rice porridge, do you have anything else? I'm almost fed up with it."
Jin Qianqian dug out a few more salted duck eggs and said, "Do you think I don't want to eat something good? Don't forget that our two stomachs have been hungry for a long time. If we don't take good care of them, we will suffer in the future."
Gu Wenheng also thought about how Jin Qianqian always suffered from stomachaches when she was in school, and knew that it was the accumulation of eating one full meal and skipping several meals throughout the year.
In this regard, Jin Qianqian had more say than himself. She didn't care about the blandness of the porridge and finished it in no time by pairing it with salted duck eggs.
"Finally I feel better. Fortunately, you have this rare treasure. Otherwise, we probably wouldn't survive for a few more days." Gu Wenheng laughed and talked again after finishing his meal. "I wonder if we will be so lucky next time? Can we have another life?"
Jin Qianqian packed up the remaining boxes and eggshells, then said leisurely, "No matter where we are, the possibility of us returning is very small. I guess senior sisters should have known the news."
Gu Wenheng, however, was more open-minded. "At least we are still alive. The population is decreasing every day. We are just one step ahead of others. By the way, what other strange things do you have? It will give me some idea."
Jin Qianqian briefly summarized her inventory. "I originally thought that I would open a large supermarket when I return. I have all the inventory that other supermarkets should have, and I also have what they shouldn't have, so I can support a commodity city."
Gu Wenheng covered his pounding heart and said, "Then we won't have to starve to death?"
God knows, he was really afraid that he wouldn't be able to raise this little girl well in this strange world.
