Urban Giant Wolf Legend (V)
After parting with Liang Qing, Shi Xiaofeng first went to the spot where Lao Mu had been lying. Just as he'd expected, Lao Mu's body had vanished. Once a player died in the game, their bodies vanished quickly. No one knew where they had gone; it was as if they had never been there.
Shi Xiaofeng stood there for a while, then walked towards the auditorium with his fists clenched.
As soon as he entered the auditorium, he was stopped by Bald Zhu Chengyong and his subordinates.
"Sixth brother, where have you been? It's hard for our brothers to find you." Zhu Chengyong had a sinister smile on his face.
"Boss!" Shi Xiaofeng's heart collapsed for a moment, but he immediately changed his expression to joy, "I was just about to go find you!"
"Looking for me? Didn't you run away with that imposter? The eighth brother is lying in the toilet cubicle, and the third brother was kicked unconscious in the dormitory. Are you involved in all of this? Did you collude with others to kill us?" Zhu Chengyong asked fiercely, gritting his teeth.
"Yes! Are you a traitor!"
"Where did that package of weapons go?" The people behind Zhu Chengyong were the backbone of the team, and some of them clenched their fists and were ready to take action.
"How could I be a traitor?" Shi Xiaofeng opened his eyes wide and spread his hands. "I will get the password soon!"
"Password? What password?"
"The door to the lab! She was short of weapons and couldn't protect herself, so she disguised herself as Lao Ba to steal our weapons. But she's a player with her own script, and the system gave her half of the password from the start."
As soon as Shi Xiaofeng finished speaking, everyone's faces changed: "There are also players who bring their own passwords. This is so fucking unfair!"
Only the bald man looked at Shi Xiaofeng quietly, squinting his eyes: "She said she has the password, do you believe it?"
Shi Xiaofeng shrugged. "If you don't believe me, what she said about the first three being empty and rotating 360 degrees three times, it sounded like bullshit. I just used anesthetic to knock her out. Let's knock her out first, and she's pretty, too."
Everyone burst into laughter when they heard Shi Xiaofeng's jokes. Shi Xiaofeng curled his lips and looked frivolous.
The bald man's face darkened. "Just rotate 360 degrees three times, is that what she said?"
Shi Xiaofeng nodded. "She also said that the password has two parts, the upper and lower parts, and each part must be operated in this way before the door can be opened. She also said that it's useless to find her because the other half is not with her."
He paused and looked at Zhu Chengyong: "Boss... is what she said true?"
Zhu Chengyong said nothing, but stared at Shi Xiaofeng quietly. The latter had a look of happiness on his face.
"Oh! So, I was really lucky, wasn't I?"
The team, which had been silent, became excited. Zhu Chengyong's men exchanged glances.
Shi Xiaofeng moved closer to the bald man: "That's the best! Boss, why don't we go all out and get the password! Even if we have half of it, maybe we can find the second part of the password. Then you can do me a great deed. I was abrupt with Lao Mu's matter. You know I tend to be emotional..."
Zhu Chengyong was obviously not interested in his long-winded chatter and waved his hand perfunctorily: "Okay, okay. Where is she now?"
"In the lounge, I tied her up."
When Shi Xiaofeng said this, he cleared his throat unnaturally.
"I have this..." He pulled a small test tube from his bag and shook it. "This is the Obedient Water. It has a bit of a hallucinogenic effect. Drinking it can lower one's mental alertness. Many gangsters use this to weed out spies and undercover agents in their ranks."
Zhu Chengyong was stunned by Shi Xiaofeng's words. However, the three idling operations were too convincing. In addition, he knew that Shi Xiaofeng was a student of clinical medicine, so he believed what he said and his plan without a doubt.
"Boss, how about you give her the drug yourself? The password issue is of great importance."
Zhu Chengyong scanned the team and saw many people excited about the secret code. His face darkened.
"I'll go with you."
Several men immediately stepped forward: "Boss, it's not safe, I'll go with you!"
The lounge was small. They had already searched it all before, when they had set up camp at the Medical University. Several people were showing their loyalty, as if they were about to attack a giant wolf, which made Zhu Chengyong feel uncomfortable.
"If you're really worried..." He thought for a moment and looked at Shi Xiaofeng, "Open the door and let them see if there's an unconscious woman tied up inside."
Shi Xiaofeng's lips almost trembled, his mind blanking out for a moment. He looked at Zhu Chengyong, then met the sinister yet expectant gazes of the group behind him.
"OK……"
He walked backstage, and several of Zhu Chengyong's confidants followed him and Zhu Chengyong.
Shi Xiaofeng glanced around, confirming that the area was quiet and there was no sign of Liang Qing. His heart sank. He had underestimated Zhu Chengyong's suspicion and caution.
"Open the door." Zhu Chengyong raised his chin and stopped at the door of the second lounge.
"Hey." Shi Xiaofeng gently turned the door handle of the lounge and pushed open the door.
The lights in the room were dim, and several people outside looked inside - there was a small chair in the middle of a pile of dusty dress props, and a young woman was sitting on the chair. Her shoulder-length hair was messy and spread across her face. Her expression was unclear, and she was indeed tied up with ropes.
Shi Xiaofeng opened his mouth slightly and blinked.
He spoke without thinking, but Liang Qing, who was lurking in the dark, really cooperated with his performance. This tacit understanding made him excited and his mood was surging.
Seeing is believing. Zhu Chengyong slowly breathed a sigh of relief and patted Shi Xiaofeng on the shoulder: "You kid, you did a good job."
Shi Xiaofeng felt relieved.
"How long does it take for this medicine to work?"
"Just pour it in after he wakes up. It will be quick." Shi Xiaofeng replied without thinking.
"You wait outside and stay away from the door." Zhu Chengyong glared at his subordinates with a fierce look on his face.
The few people who followed dared not speak, their faces showing some anger. They spread out and guarded both sides of the corridor.
Shi Xiaofeng and Zhu Chengyong entered the house.
Zhu Chengyong stepped forward and looked at Liang Qing's face. He ran his rough hand across Liang Qing's chin, sneered, and patted it gently: "You are indeed good-looking."
He looked at Shi Xiaofeng: "Where's the medicine?"
As soon as the second syllable landed, before anyone could see clearly, the woman on the chair suddenly leaped up and slashed at him with a palm blade. Zhu Chengyong, a towering 185cm tall man, collapsed to the ground without a sound.
Shi Xiaofeng opened his mouth wide, looked at the ground, and then looked at Liang Qing.
Liang Qing untied the ropes wrapped around her body and fixed her hair: "Next time you want to do this kind of thing, give me some time in advance."
"Okay, okay, definitely." Shi Xiaofeng nodded repeatedly.
"How did you do it?" Shi Xiaofeng wished that "You are my God" would be written all over his face.
Liang Qing said calmly: "I don't need to explain anything to someone with a weak body."
Shi Xiaofeng: ...You are noble.
The two men looked down at Zhu Chengyong. Liang Qing looked at the medicine in Shi Xiaofeng's hand and asked, "Is it really truth serum?"
"It must not be...I made it up."
"Then how can you be so confident in getting Zhu Chengyong's password?"
"I'm not confident..." Shi Xiaofeng suddenly changed the subject, "How do you know Zhu Chengyong is the second player with the password?"
"Guess."
"First, I was sitting on the beam when you were all chattering about how to deal with me. Zhu Chengyong was the only one who didn't question the code to unlock the door. That's super obvious. Secondly, your best brother was ruthlessly abandoned by him before he died, yet you still followed him so wholeheartedly. This can only mean that he has something you want, either protection or a way to get through."
"Finally," Liang Qing kicked Zhu Chengyong in disgust, just in time to flip him over, "Such a fool has people teaming up with him and worshipping him as the big brother. He might just be recruiting troops under the guise of knowing the inside story of the game."
Shi Xiaofeng was so impressed that he had nothing to say.
"But I really don't know where his password is. Do you want me to tie him up and beat him up?" Shi Xiaofeng said carefully.
He could see that Liang Qing's fighting power was enough to easily knock down those people in the corridor at the same time.
"Hiss, this tattoo..." Liang Qing did not respond to him, but squinted his eyes and looked carefully at Zhu Chengyong who was lying on his back.
The tattoo on his back depicts a lotus flower reflecting the sun. It looks crooked at first glance, but upon closer inspection, the lines that make up the pattern are transformed into dots and horizontal lines, interlaced from top to bottom in indigo and ink.
Liang Qing wanted to blurt out "ugly", but two seconds later -
"Morse code."
Shi Xiaofeng said in unison with her.
Liang Qing took a deep breath and said, "Let's make an assumption first. Indigo is on the right and black is on the left. If that's not right, we can switch back."
He quickly nodded, thinking the same thing as Shi Xiaofeng.
"I'll report it, and you write it."
"Huh?" Shi Xiaofeng didn't expect Liang Qing also understood this, and touched his nose in surprise.
"Hurry up, I..." Liang Qing wanted to say "my son", but the words turned into "I'm hungry."
"12 right, 59 left, 8 left..."
After writing down the sixteen strings of numbers and directions, Shi Xiaofeng checked them again to make sure he hadn't made any mistakes, and handed the note to Liang Qing.
"I'll be hanging out with you from now on. Keep this as my token of loyalty."
Liang Qing looked at him with amusement: "Didn't Zhu Chengyong say that he doesn't accept useless people in his team?"
Shi Xiaofeng was stunned and nodded.
Liang Qing took the note and said, "Well, I'll tell you, I don't accept idiots in my team. Wee onboard."
