Chapter 132 Severing Ties

Madam Xu stormed off with a group of servants toward Aunt Zhou's courtyard, determined to see for herself what this Third Sister Xu was up to.

As soon as they entered the courtyard, they saw Xu Sanmei and Aunt Zhou busily tidying up. When Xu Sanmei saw Madam Xu arrive, she not only didn't stop what she was doing, but instead worked even harder to tidy up.

"What are you doing? Who gave you permission to pack your things?" Madam Xu shouted, pointing at them.

“Madam Xu! My aunt and I are leaving. After we leave, no one will be in your way anymore,” Xu Sanmei said calmly.

"Madam Xu? How dare you not even call me 'mother' anymore?"

When had Xu Sanmei ever dared to disobey her like this? Madam Xu was so angry that her face turned green.

"What did you say? You want to leave? Where do you think you can go?" Madam Xu sneered.

"The world is vast, there's always a place for us," Xu Sanmei said firmly.

Madam Xu trembled with rage. "So, you've grown wings and want to fly away, huh? Let me tell you, as long as I'm alive, Aunt Zhou won't be stepping out of this house! Guards, seize her!"

"If you want to leave, then leave. I won't stop you. You're just a used woman anyway, so don't come back and dirty the Xu family's place."

"Madam, be careful what you say!" Aunt Zhou's face turned pale.

How could a lady be so vicious?

Is "old woman" something an elder should say?

"Seize her!" Madam Xu ordered.

The servants swarmed forward, ignoring her, and tried to seize Aunt Zhou. But Xu Sanmei was fearless. She took out a dagger, and in one swift motion, she aimed it at Madam Xu's throat.

"Who dares to touch my aunt!" Xu Sanmei's eyes widened in anger, the dagger in her hand pressed tightly against Madam Xu's neck.

Madam Xu was shocked.

"You... how dare you!" Madam Xu was being held hostage and could barely speak.

The servants dared not move forward.

The lady is in her hands.

Aunt Zhou was also frightened: "Third Sister! Release Madam, she won't make things difficult for us."

"Auntie! Come behind me, let's go." Xu Sanmei did not let go of Madam Zhou.

She was willing to go to any lengths to get her aunt out.

"Your father won't let you off the hook." Madam Xu knew she wouldn't dare to do anything reckless.

"If you speak again, I'll stab you right now," Xu Sanmei said coldly, increasing the force in her hand.

Madam Xu was so frightened that she dared not utter another sound.

Xu Sanmei led Madam Xu slowly backward toward the door. The others followed closely behind, none daring to make a move.

As she was about to walk out the door, Xu Sanmei felt a little more relaxed.

She had no intention of harming Madam Xu, but if she didn't do this, she certainly wouldn't be able to take Aunt Zhou away today. She had no choice.

As long as the concubine stays in this mansion, she will suffer at the hands of Madam Xu.

Aunt Zhou was a weak-willed person. Xu Sanmei could even imagine whether Aunt Zhou could survive after she left.

Back in the mansion, life wasn't so difficult because she protected her aunt.

In particular, after the eldest sister-in-law entered the family, she never mistreated the mother and daughter.

Xu Sanmei was grateful.

Xu Sanmei will always remember her sister-in-law's kindness.

But Xu Sanmei didn't want to keep entrusting her own mother's life to others.

However, at that moment, she suddenly felt a gust of wind coming from behind.

Before she could react, she could only dodge to the side. A dark shadow flashed by, and Madam Xu took the opportunity to break free from her grasp.

It turned out that Master Xu had rushed over after hearing the news. He was furious and glared at Xu Sanmei.

"You wretched child! How dare you be so disrespectful to your mother!" Master Xu roared.

Xu Sanmei gritted her teeth, refusing to back down. "Lord Xu doesn't acknowledge me as his daughter at all, so how can I have a mother!"

Xu Sanmei's eyes were full of sarcasm.

Lord Xu rushed forward, ready to throw another punch, but Third Sister Xu said, "If Lord Xu doesn't want his family scandals to be aired in public, I advise you not to make a move."

"You dare threaten me!" Lord Xu glared angrily.

"Arrest this slut!" Madam Xu finally caught her breath.

For so many years she has always acted arrogantly and domineeringly in the mansion, when has she ever suffered such humiliation?

"If you're not afraid of ruining the Xu family's reputation, then go ahead and try! I just need to shout here that I am the third young lady of the Xu family, who has been kidnapped by bandits for five days." Xu Sanmei was fearless.

She's not afraid of people wearing shoes even when she's barefoot.

Since Lord Xu doesn't acknowledge her as his daughter, she has nothing left to worry about.

Lord Xu and Madam Xu exchanged a startled glance.

Xu Sanmei is right. She has nothing to lose, but unfortunately, the entire Xu family still needs to make a living.

He couldn't hold a grudge against Xu Sanmei.

"I agree to let you leave, but what can your aunt do without the Xu family? She can't survive." Lord Xu appeared to be concerned for them.

Xu Sanmei was already tired of seeing that kind of face.

"It's none of your business! As long as you sign the severance document, our lives and deaths will be none of your concern from now on," Xu Sanmei said coldly.

She never had any expectations of this father.

Aunt Zhou was having a hard time in the backyard, and he chose to be selectively blind to it.

Over the years, if they hadn't been so careful, they would have long since become the wronged souls in the Xu family's backyard.

Madam Xu is a wicked mistress.

Lord Xu's expression shifted uncertainly, but he finally sighed helplessly, "Fine, I'll sign." He picked up the pen and signed his name on the letter severing ties.

Xu Sanmei took the letter severing ties with her husband, a complex mix of emotions welling up inside her. She glanced at Master Xu and Madam Xu, then turned and left the Xu residence with Aunt Zhou.
