After hearing Lu Yanling's story, no one could react for a moment.

Lu Yanfang cried and sobbed, "Father, you must stand up for your daughter!"
Lord Lu looked at his two daughters and said, "Both of you, kneel down in the courtyard."
"Father!" Lu Yanfang cried out, aggrieved. "Your daughter has been beaten."
Without saying a word, Lu Yanling knelt down outside the door.
Lord Lu couldn't help but glance at her a few more times.
This daughter, though quiet, is quite a formidable character.
"You go too, hurry up." Lu Yanfang reluctantly knelt outside.
She was determined to avenge this.
"My lord, the old lady has fainted again," said Granny Wu cautiously.
"Carry Mother to the bed," Lord Lu instructed his servants.
My mother is getting old and can't take anything anymore.
Nowadays, Lord Lu doesn't care about his mother as much anymore.
There's no need to call the doctor anymore; my mother will wake up on her own.
The saying "No filial son stays by the bedside of a chronically ill parent" perfectly describes this situation.
After settling his mother in, Lord Lu said, "Tell me, why were you behaving so improperly today?"
"My lord! Please, do justice for Ling'er!" Aunt Yao cried as she crawled over.
