Chapter 49 Counterattack

Jiang Chuwei shook her head: "It's alright!"

Ye Huan was worried that these people would really hurt Jiang Chuwei.

She realized that many people at the banquet harbored the same idea.

The people next to them quietly moved away from the seats that their aunt had just arranged for them to sit.

Ye Huan was secretly anxious. Being a woman is already difficult enough, but in the end, it is often women who make things difficult for women.

Sun Meiyun watched as Jiang Chuwei continued eating the pastries, seemingly unaffected in the slightest.

"I've heard that Miss Jiang and Miss Ye are very close friends. Why don't you think about Miss Ye's feelings? Don't you know that coming to this banquet is only harming Miss Ye?"

Sun Meiyun simply stood with Yao Ruofeng, looking down at Ye Chuwei.

Ye Huan was so anxious that tears welled up in her eyes.

How could these two be so vicious?

Chu Wei was already upset enough; this was just adding salt to her wounds.

Jiang Chuwei looked up at Yao Ruofeng and asked, "Miss Yao, if I hadn't come to the banquet today, would you have been able to find your Mr. Right? In the past three years, I haven't run into you at a single banquet, and you're still single, aren't you? Who's really the unlucky one between us?"

Yao Ruofeng was so angry that she couldn't speak.

She didn't get married because she couldn't find anyone she liked. The only person she wanted to marry ignored her completely.

It's not the place Jiang Chuwei described as unwanted.

However, after Jiang Chuwei said that today, the label of "nobody wants her" has really been branded on her.

All eyes turned to Yao Ruofeng: This Miss Yao is so old, yet no one seems to want her; there must be some hidden reason. We should warn our children and nephews not to get entangled with her.

Yao Ruofeng blushed as she was stared at, and quickly lifted her skirt and fled.

Jiang Chuwei then looked at Sun Meiyun: "Ye Huan and I are like sisters. She doesn't look down on me. What are you meddling in here for? Do you live by the sea? Why are you being so nosy?"

Ye Huan immediately said, "Yes, I don't care. Aren't you just meddling? Miss Sun, this isn't right. It's like the behavior of a shrew from the streets."

Sun Meiyun stomped her feet in anger. How could anyone compare her to a common woman from the marketplace? It was utterly humiliating.

From now on, whenever people mention Miss Sun, they will think of a shrew from the streets, and wonder if the Sun family's daughter will still be able to get married.
